Thank you so much. My dad died same year 1958 in Barry wales (i was 3) and so 1958 has always been a year to remember dad and my beloved United. Mentioning Jimmy carried on even paying for his bus fares and phone calle etc and was never after money is frankly something every Premiership footballer and manager should reflect on. God bless and thanks again
Cheers Paul. May Jimmy and your father's memories continue to be a blessing. Jimmy did everything as a passion and commitment to Manchester United F.C., wanting little in return, and during his lifetime, and considering his contribution, got exactly that.
An under apprciated figure in football, not just at united. glad he's finally getting the recognistion that he deserves! I meant the statue, not video, but that's great too ;)
It was in the Råsunda Stadium, Solnaon on 24th June 1958 in the semi finals stage. Vava, Didi and a Pele hatrick, overcoming Fontaine and Plantoni goals for France.
Great man, great tribute mate. glad he's getting his statue. Deserved.

Agreed, there really are none. What a spirit, he was the club as much as any man who has passed through the doors of our great club

Don't think Brazil beat France 5 2 in 1958.
