Good upgrades, but word of advice. Don't put too much weight on that hitch rack, definitely not a full cooler with ice. Maybe a lighter bike or two, but even that and you will notice it affecting your hitch weight. I can't quite tell from the video, but it looks like you still have older style door seal and hinges. Scamp has upgraded those the last few years, and would have been my number one upgrade suggestion. They definitely unnecessarily knicked you for new rims, which you didn't need, and whoever did that sealant job around the new water inlet should never be allowed to do that job again.

It's also my opinion that you need to be very careful about adding weight to the rear end. Especially extending rearward that in essence creates a lever-like effect. Scamps seem to be well balanced but even so I'm very careful to not put too much weight behind the axle. I was dropping down into the Columbia River gorge one time and got too much of a head of steam and it started to sway a little. I accelerated slightly to pull it out but it was pretty "oh-oh" for about half a second. I think that if I had touched the brakes instead of the accelerator it might MIGHT have gone into full sway mode. Since then on trips I always hook up my little sway bar. I just bought a Renogy suitcase 100 watt and I always place it precisely half and half over the axle and lay it down on the floor. The table top goes on the floor to the front. Mostly clothes and bedding to the rear of the axle. Never any heavy stuff. And I never travel at highway speeds with water in the freshwater tank or the hot water tank either. In fact, the only water I carry on highway trips is about a couple gallons in a plastic jug. When I get to where I'll stay for a while I'll fill the other tanks if needed. Pretty much the same with the black and grey water tanks. The grey water tank is way towards the rear so it's always empty when traveling and hauling around liquid in the other tank doesn't make sense on longer trips.
agree with that except for the hinges, lots of people having the new hinges cracking if you look at the scamp forums. I would wait on those, i just rebuilt my old ones with the stainless kit that is offered from Ian Giles and they are like new.
Yep, they had a problem with a few of the initial batches of Hinges, that has been sorted. I believe they switched suppliers.
@@Chris.Donley Chris on the fiberglass rv forums someone just had theirs crack on a brand new unit recently picked up. So not sure its sorted just yet. The old design is old, but its actually pretty ingenious. The scamp workers can't drill a straight hole going by what i see in my trailer and the old hinge makes up for things like that, the new one does not.
It’s really awesome the factory did the repairs for you direct. The axel and tries and brakes were probably the most important thing getting a certification check from those who would know. Nice.

Get you a drill attachment for that scissor jack, will be much quicker.
Just got back (to the midwest) from Montana, etc and it rained and rained and rained. Fortunately a couple of days before I left we had heavy rains here that showed a lead in the rear window of my 16 footer. So I spend about half a day cleaning out the weep holes in the rear window and doing some sealing with caulk to insure there were no leaks. In northern WI, MN, and ND it rained very hard three nights in a row and no leaks. Crazy wet. And Hwy 2 west of Williston was being worked on and was almost impassible. The window weep holes on the rear windows are covered by rectangular boxes that can be snapped off to allow access for a cleaning rod/wire. WillFulWanderer (sp?) has a good how-to video on-line. I bought a pair of Load Range D tires last year and they're doing great (Carlisle). There's a cheapo but effective battery meter you can get off Amazon to monitor your battery levels (that you can plug into your new 12V cigarette lighter type plug.
sounds like some wet travel. Glad you got the leak fixed. I did pick up a battery monitor that I can plug into the plug and see where my battery is at. I'll be talking about it in an upcoming video. God Bless.

2 words--- SOLAR PANELS
We do have a portable panel and will be talking more about it in our next video. We only weekend away maybe one week long trip a year so the cost verses reward just isn't there for us to have something more long term.
