I've never seen this before other than Olympic style. Two things impressed me 1. His calm skill and 2. His instant brakes when opponent taps. More fighters could use that integrity.
hes calm because he knows he is not going to get caught with a left hook to the head.
He looks so relaxed, it's unreal.
He also looks juiced to the gills

Either way Gordon Ryan is ALSO the best technical and savage ju jitsu fighter ever probably... Juice or not the guy works harder than everyone else in the world, and continues to dominate.

It’s the level of confidence one has when they’re juiced to the MAX and know that they’re not gonna have to worry about getting tested for PEDs/steroids and also know that their opponents aren’t cycling the same way he is lol

It is hard to find anyone who is the best of their sport that is not arrogant. Roger Gracie may be one of the few that comes to mind as being a humble person. Lebron James, Tom Brady, Ronald Acuna Jr. are all known to be arrogant.

I went on a date a couple years ago with Katie Taylor who is considered one of the best pound for pound female boxers in the world and she was super humble. She didn’t talk at all about her accomplishments and wanted to hear about my boxing training and I’m horrible at boxing (I mainly train grappling, not striking).

It seems like they tapped so quick to those heel hooks. Maybe he just has it so locked in that they know it's not worth the rehab. My understanding is that a fully executed heel hook tears all the tendons in the knee.

His right arm is under the neck, not super deep, but it's definitely on the neck enough, and he grabs the left shoulder to apply leverage since his other hand is controlling the left of his opponent. Doesn't hurt that his forearms are cricket bats and he could probably apply a choke if he just waved at you hard enough.
