Kayak Rigging: Navigation Lights

Here's how I rigged my kayak with green and red navigational lights. I used Pilot Flexi-lite 4" LED, diy 12v battery pack, cat5 for wiring, and a water proof switch. Simple and clean installation.

It's actually very dangerous to put the red green bow lights on a yak. At night when on coming boats can't see you , but only see the lights, your giving them the impression you are a motor boat and can maneuver much faster than you can actually paddle/pedal.
I would not recommend doing this.

Yes I agree completely however this kayak was motorized.
