Two big announcements in our world recently, but does it mean the end of our world? I think not! It is time to stay calm, hold your nerve and carry on!

Cheers Danny, It is not a young persons hobby although some of us may have been an exception to that. There is no way a relatively new manufacturer would invest in a business that was going nowhere :)

I agree, don't lose your bottle, and be very picky. Failing that... there's always cross stitch!

As a beginner to cross stitch I find myself confused! Should I go for N gauge or the traditional 00?? :)

some factors are very true though whilst yes it is true they are expensive , but in comparison over the ages in general prices work out around the same ., reality is that whilst there may be kids to come into the hobby times have very much changed and a 60s hobby is nowhere near as apealing as the tech they have today , for instance train sims are outstanding you can drive the trains etc etc , you don't have to build or find a home for a layout even if on a small board , reality is exactly what they are saying ,,, the one thing i totally agree is bullshit is still blaming brexit , exporting anything today is hugely expensive if hornby was based in china and got rid of briitish interference prices would plummet over night and you cant say quality would as they are built there already fact is the west is too gready and have a big bumper excuse book to defend why but the huge fact is that we are a dying breed ,, look at the models there are very few of what you can call kids models about 98% are aiming at exhibition quality adult models aiming at a smaller market than what once was , we have to face reality we are dying out and not being replaced when you are catering to an ever decreasing market you have to charge increasing prices to recoup money that would have been recouped from a bigger market , sad but pretty much where we are at

SO much truth in your comment. I certainly did not intend to over simply my argument but the video could have 2 hours long :) And it is true that you will not attract younger people to the hobby with yet another DCC Scotsman for example. Perhaps they should revive the Traing models of the rocket launching trains of the 70s Many thanks for viewing and leaving a measured comment

Find Jadlam very good to buy from now, they will price match reputable sellers and you get bonus points for future discount. Recently bought a Tamiya MFC and some RC batteries, transmitter from them and have £25 in bonus points now.
