This flavourful, quick-to-make, classic Goan dish - Choris Pulav - is also an adaptable one. If you don't have Goa sausages or chorizo, you could use any other kinds of sausages including chicken sausages. A must try reciipe I made it today and turned out to be so delicious so delicious and full of flavours, mouthwatering recipe Thank you so much dear Veena for sharing for recipe with us
Hi,enjoy watching and trying out your Goan recipes, may I suggest that the recipes on your website can be formatted so one can print them as it’s easier to refer and cook with the printouts. Also would really appreciate if you could do a video on how to make authentic Goan sausages/ sausage meat as I live abroad and do miss Goa sausages. Thanks a lot, You are doing a great job! 👍🏼👏🏼💕
Hi Thereza. Thanks for the support and appreciation. My recipes are all documented on my website www.pat-a-cake.veenapatwardhan.com. And so sorry, I don't yet have a good sausage recipe. Besides, pork is not available where I live.
Your recipe has made so many of my friends and family members love my chorizo pulav cooking. I have been making it for such a long time now. I had to come back to you to thank you for such a simple and absolutely delicious chorizo pulav recipe so thanks a lot maam. A billion thanks and blessings. ☺️🙏🏽🙌🏽🌻
Looks yummy and I'm sure will taste good as well just like the many other recipes you have posted which truly had the authentic goan touch! Keep it up Veena you are doing an excellent job as always. Love from Mumbai
Thank you, Preethi, for your appreciation. I'm using an old pressure pan that could be around 3.5 to 4 Litres. A pressure pan is wider than a pressure cooker and has less depth. But you could also cook this rice in a regular pressure cooker.
Looks delicious Veena thanks for sharing...do you have a recipe for making chouris at home? Please post if you do....I have tried your recipes and hit success in the first attempt...made your Easter eggs....scrumptuous❤
You're right, Flo. In comparison to our spicy Goa sausages, chicken sausages are somewhat bland. If the sausages you're going to use have hardly any spices, then I think it would be a good idea to marinate the chopped sausage pieces with a few of our Goa sausage spices like 1 and 1/2 tsp crushed ginger, 1 and 1/2 tsp crushed garlic, and around 1 and a 1/2 tsp of a mix of ground cloves, cinnamon, and cumin. And in addition 1 tbsp of vinegar. Mix all of this and apply it to the chopped chicken sausages. This might work!
@@PataCake So kind of you Veena for replying ASAP .. thanks for the spices mentioned to marinate Chicken sausages .. very thoughtful .. once again thank you!
Juliet, I already have a traditional raw mango pickle /chutney recipe on my channel. It's very tasty. Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/JBvdBRubwz0/видео.html It's called chutney in Goa because you have to cut the raw mango into fine pieces for this recipe.
