Could have been the finest interpretation of this work I've heard to date. In less expert hands too often it becomes an overwhelmingly heavy blur of sound. Thanks everyone for this treat, despite the difficulties presented by the out of whack sound track it was well worthwhile persisting.

Wonderful playing! Bell Hamelin Isserlis (these days my favest cellist) and the wonderful ladies in 2nd violin and viol! The music cames with such intensity! Some, ok great artists, play this wonderful quintet by Great Cesar Frank with too much melancholy for my taste. Here the interpretation is dense, fiery, showcasing the intensity and richness of the music! No wonder Isserlis is at the cello. This performance should also silence the injust detractors of Bell who is fab. A Huge Bravo for all the musicians. Pure musicality ...

      Joshua Bell (vn)
      Pamela Frank (vn)
      Nobuko Imai (va)
      Steven Isserlis (cl)
      Marc-André Hamelin (pf)
In Verbier the level is aleays amazing!!!

I love how Cesar Franck creates his melodies. His way of repeating things while only changing one note by a step is very effective.

Michel Dalberto is incredible in this quintet, but Hamelin is another level above!

Que lindo, cuando la música no dice nada, pero a la vez, te dice todo!
Con brahms me pasa lo mismo.

The switching of camera angles from 27:21 onwards where one shot is of Bell’s extreme body movements and the next is of Hamelin’s stoic presentation is quite hilarious.

Spite... Ve¡¡ Mi komprenas ke sportstadiojn estas plenegaj.

Bell should play and not act and dance. It would suit more Franck . Hamelin is fantastic as usual and so is Isserlis. What a pity they associated themselves with such a pantomime.

What is the purpose of publishing such a harsh and unsolicited judgement? It is as insulting to Joshua Bell as it is to any of the other performing musicians. Don't watch, listen!

What's wrong with acting and dancing, when you are really feeling the music ! He's a human being, not a robot !
