There are many misconceptions about the term “wild oud.” Much of the so-called wild oud from Bangladesh and India is actually grown on privately owned land that has been left uncultivated, which ultimately helps the natural oud infection rates in the area. Another fact that people are unaware of is that the agarwood tree produces many fruit seedlings, which spread widely and contribute to sustainability. This is the reason why India and Bangladesh have been able to produce oud for decades after the real wild oud had disappeared; they learned to leave the trees alone for a certain period.

I think it’s a shame that companies feel they need to price their product out of the reach of so many people. It’s a big decision to drop nearly £300 on a fragrance.
They think it's chic to put the exclude in "exclusive". #Greed

I agree. I guess it's all relative and I suppose I could pay it, but it's wild for me to see myself dropping that much on a fragrance. Maaaaaybe if it were my one and only year round fragrance.... But even then!

@@SWTmel yea, I have one fragrance in my entire collection that I paid $270 for and it's very special to me. Other than it, most of mine were around half that price or even less.

I love this range although I think it’s become too expensive. I wish they had a more affordable 50 ml option.

great review Aaron, if you're a fan of this, and it's apparent with the rating, you should give AKD by Majan a go. Came out well before Oud Nude and it smells very similar to my nose, except AKD will last you the whole day and get you noticed

Hello Aron, i really like your reviews on how you explain how raw material work on blending i apreciate it, im also learning on how to blend , im having trouble when it comes to adding water, should i be adding water to an edp? Lets say i made 100 grams with ethanol do i have to add distilled water to the blend? Thank you

Tested this along with 3 other from the line. It’s quite nice however considering the cost I bought Bois d’Arménie instead and planning on picking up Spiriteuse Double Vanille next (still on the lookout for a deal).
But this is pleasant nevertheless, albeit way less versatile as those, imo.

It’s honestly down to you, think about it if someone else, (especially a perfumer) is going to recommend a fragrance there going to choose something that isn’t upsetting to the majority and therefore is unlikely going to be niche… Just be careful with ‘designer’ fragrances, have a look at some Mancera. honestly. 120ml for around £120 is a steal for their performance and how long they last, even if you use them every day

Hello. Will be 2025 when ATHUS opens for business. The cost to send direct from the factory was in excess of £200-£280. I was quoted £30 from DHL. As a small business we can not do business with DHL with prices being sometimes as high as that. Thank you Aaron
