Great explanation brother. MY first year hunting with a bow and i decided to use schwackers because of how cheap and heard good things about it. I took a 20 yard shot at a smaller deer and that same thing happened I basically blew his shoulder or bone close to it and dropped it right there in its track. My first experience with it has made a memory that I tell my kids and grandkids and many friends. I would def recommend it for people that want a broadhead that is affordable and good.
I love swhacker i jave used the 2in green machine as i call it the 3 blade 1.5in cut expandable which they dont make anymore unfortunately and the 150 grain 3in cut and have had nothing but Great experiences.
started using them in a crossbow two years ago. i belong to a group that manages deer in county parks, i am a trad archer normally but use a cross bow for management reasons in parks due to the eficentcy. the last two deer i have taken, past week. the off side leg was almost completely removed, both does were down in seconds and both front shoulder were broken on both deer. if your bow is at or above 90 fps of kinitec energy the deer dont stand a chance. most devasation i have ever seen from any bow hit deer,
I know a lot of people like these but I’ve hd bad luck with them and I’m not impressed with the sharpness of the blades. Of course they fly great. I just think there are better options in both mechanical and fixed blades.
As soon as i seen this. I had to comment. I'll never use swhaker again. Very risky using these. The entry holes are the size of a .22 . Do they work. Yes. But If you get somewhat of a not so perfect shot and the deer runs off. You better have a hound because you won't find any blood. Also the over the top deploy will deflect your arrow . It done it many times with me. I switched to a rear deploy.
Sorry you had a poor experience. So far so good for me and my kids. I’ll keep rear deploy in mind if I run into a problem at some point. Good luck this season!
the issues you were having may be from shooting them out of a bow that is lacking ke, 90 pounds min and you will be removing limbs on deer, all mech heads need at least 55-60 just to deploy properly, i use them out of a crossbow at 102 fps of ke and am breaking both shoulders and nearly removing front legs on adult does, 2 just this past week. i normally shoot a recurve with magnus stingers but for the crossbow theses work perfectly,
I took 2 deer with the Megameat last year and they are amazing. I have heard and seen good things about Schwackers too. Shot selection and placement is always the most important thing no matter what broadhead though. Good luck to everyone this year.
All 3 are trash. Mega meats are so delicate bro. Disposable broadheads. I shoot sevrs. Made out of titanium and don't deflect like 3 blades and over the top deploying bh's. Sevrs will penetrate alot better than any other mec. Due to the locking and blade swivel design.
Nothing like a company spelling their name wrong. The Sh should come first not Sw. With this spelling, they are Swackers, not Shwackers. Failed on the details.

@@kendittig6142 thanks for commenting man. This is good insight. How do you get the county parks Managment gig? Sounds fun.

But if they fly great, what was your bad luck with them? Don't be blaming a head for a shooter's mistakes.
