@Khay McBride Yeah; the countries of Central America have territorial tax systems.... which could be a great option for many people (though it doesn't hurt to know a little Spanish).
As a Hong Konger, Boris Johnson basically handed us a free tier A today. Best news I’ve received all year. My only alternative Tier A option would have been the US (through marriage) or maybe Germany, but they’re not allowing dual citizenship so probably not,
Matthew Smith well it’s 5 years of living there. Even many citizenship by investment programs have requirements like that. Considering we were thinking of getting a golden visa in Portugal (also needing 5 years) and this doesn’t cost anything, I consider it free.
13:49 you nailed it! Even a tier C passport becomes invaluable if it complements the ones you have. I really believe that a passport portfolio has to be geographically and "politically" balanced, and maybe some tier C passports are the best options to implement this.
Tier C are the best passports for freedome of living. I have an algerian pass. During Corona I went there and spent one year. Best decision ever, no Corona pass, no restrictions, nothing. Everyone needs to get a Tier C pass.

I’d be interested in learning how citizenship in Germany has changed over the years. While I was in the US Army in Darmstadt in 1992, one of the guys I worked with came to work one day right before he was due to re-enlist and said he wasn’t going to re-enlist. He had a German girl friend with 2 kids and they were planning on getting married. So, he went to the local city government, paid $2-3,000 USD and became a German citizen. I assume he gave up his US citizenship because he later said he was concerned about being sent back to a combat zone if he stayed. A few months later, another guy from work ran into him in downtown working for a German telecom company.
I'm a dual US and Jamaican citizen. I want to move to the UK and I've been looking to see if I qualify for citizenship through descent. If I don't, is a British passport worth going through the naturalization process?
I have dual Canadian and Italian citizenships so I have the best of both worlds. I just don’t know what to DO now, but I appreciate the videos, I’d love to take a webinar of yours if possible. (I’m wondering if I should invest in the future in a Caribbean passport too?)
We don't host webinars, but we do have a conference at www.nomadcapitalist.com/live/ and work with private clients at www.nomadcapitalist.com/apply. Hope we may be of service one day.
It's interesting how one could balance out their freedoms and travels by holding multiple passports. Who knows what USA will like like in 20 years, might NEED a new passport by that time.
Thanks for what you do Andrew! I’ve been telling my husband we need to leave since 2007 when I saw the set up of the housing bubble by the big bank I worked for…unfortunately I’m married to a the US is still the greatest country in the world guy…
@s burk Yes, but you can begin getting your own individual passports, Ma'am. Maybe later if he decides to 'wake up', he'll see that you were on the right track all along. However, my brother , 'Mr. USA USA' is like your husband and I doubt that my brother will ever change. With that type of man, you have to decide whether you want to 'go down with the ship' alongside him without an additional passport or if you want begin to take action now and hope that he follows. I know.....it's very....complicated.🤔🙄😕from A Lady Overseas
You can look at the list of passports subject to the Visa Waiver Program Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act of 2015. Those citizens need a visa to visit the US even if they have a visa free passport.
I really like this concept of visa waiver. So you need to get the visa waiver: apply online, pay, have biometric passport and be in have country that has agreements for the host country you are entering to have access to any or all your data. Which is illegal for the country you have the passport in to access unless they either doing it or allowing the foreign country do mine it as per the agreement. This is a Visa just.
Andrew, thank you for the interesting topics! The thing is - the more I watch your videos the more I'm stuck with the basic paradox - when you are an American it's pretty much useless to have a second passport for immediate tax benefits. You are going to pay your US taxes this way or another. So, if you are getting your second passport, it's an insurance policy for the future when you need/have to renounce your US citizenship or it's just for fun (more or less). No serious benefits for you as American. What are your thoughts on this conundrum? :)
How about solid A+ plus passport is it includes Canada 🇨🇦 & Australia 🇦🇺 which one is better out of those two and which is the 1 passport that you would choose to have if you can only pick one anyone you want ☝️ for the rest of your life
I would choose Australia. I actually have both citizenships. Canada by birth and Australia by Naturalization. The bonus of Australia has the Trans-Tasman Travel Arrangement with New Zealand. This allows for the free movement of citizens of one of these countries to the other. Besides that both Canada and Australia are very similar…. Just the weather is different.
I'm looking into getting residence in Armenia, but I'm a little confused about authorization, legalization, notarization (equivalent of an Apostille), and translation of documents. I've searched online, and emailed the Armenian embassy in Canada for information to no avail. All they do is email back links to information I've already read online that doesn't contain information specific to Canadians, and as I am a Canadian citizen, and Canada is not part of the Hague convention, the process is extra complicated. If anyone has any tips, please let me know!
I love how Andrew always mentions El Salvador!
@Khay McBride Yeah; the countries of Central America have territorial tax systems.... which could be a great option for many people (though it doesn't hurt to know a little Spanish).
@Khay McBride Good comment. As an Iranian, South
America and Central America would be my first destination for second passport.
El Salvador= The Savior
What else do you need after that!

I recently found out that I qualify for a second passport by descent! I finally found my escape route from the West!
Congrats ! And which country would be that?
13:49 you nailed it! Even a tier C passport becomes invaluable if it complements the ones you have. I really believe that a passport portfolio has to be geographically and "politically" balanced, and maybe some tier C passports are the best options to implement this.
So I should be happy of having a tier C one. 😂😂
If the Western world has a massive crisis, having an escape route to a far flung country will be a lifesaver.

Monty Powers regardless of anything else I don’t think German citizenship is a good one if you’re a nomad. They don’t allow dual citizenship.
1. Stability of a country.
2. Strategic Geographic Locations are important for me.
3. Weather, Hazards,
I am a Canadian with a great passport but having options and diversification is important in today’s world
Andrew, Thank you for your content. I have ordered your book on Amazon!
US is an A passport with places like Singapore and Japan being A+ ; Americans are given a hard time in a few places and has political baggage.
Why CUNA and not UCAN? I mean, if U CAN visit those countries visa free your passport is probably tier A.
It’s because there is a silent “T” in there too LOL
Thank you, Andrew, 🙌🤝👏👏⭐️🌟💡🤩👍
If Comoros Islands citizenship were still available for $50K, I'd buy it... IMMEDIATELY.
Czech passport is great,I can visit more countries than Poland with my passport
is British+Spanish+Mexican a good combination?
Bahamian passports don’t need a visa from the US or Canada(needs an eta but not a visa) and has no income tax.
There's no such thing as a bad passport. It's just a matter of how you want to use it and your goals and lifestyle.
I'm a dual US and Jamaican citizen. I want to move to the UK and I've been looking to see if I qualify for citizenship through descent. If I don't, is a British passport worth going through the naturalization process?
you are the first english speaker who i seen pronounced bahrain correctly
Thanks! 😊

Is there a list of these Tier's that shows which passport is under which Tier? Would be a nice reference to have if anyone can share.

Also a question of what will happen to the US dollar in forex markets. Something BIG is going to happen there... within 10 years, if not 5.
Cryptocurrency will more then likely become illegal in America if this passes. Senate Bill 4051, the “Lawful Access to Encrypted Data Act”.
Thanks for the info..👍🏽👍🏽

I have an EU passport, so I’ve got unfettered access to all EEA countries.
Right now US passport can only get you to like Mexico bc ronah.
All the more reason to have a second passport and a second residence.
what about Tier D? Passports you wouldn't take even if they paid you (e.g. Iran)
North Korea is probably tier D...

I am wanting information on a rentista Visa or retirees visa, country of interest. Peru. And any in Europe as well.
Do you have to invest or start a business in Brazil to get a passport if your spouse is Brazilian?
No. You have to live here for a year. That's all.

Canadian taxes are already very high but after this corona quarantine they will raise taxes even more.
Sad but true.
Can’t go to any Islamic country with an Israeli passport.
Not any, just most - but an Israeli passport is surprisingly good for most of the world outside of the arab world.
I can't believe the salvadorian and even the Panama passport are so strong, meanwhile the Dominican passport is trash
