Great job my friend NOW we have to get you going on a rotary so your next class or training has to be using the rotsry Youll be able to cut through a lot more of that and then follow up with the d/a to finish it. Next one try some Shine Supply ChopTop I find it works really well on gelcoat both RV's and boats. Keep moving forward my friend :)
I would have charged 3800 - 4000 for that job, even though it's a flat surface for most part in size, I still would consider all expense labour, gas, materials, and figure out your profit. There is alot of prep to complete for a coating, but With that said I'm sure you most likely lost on that detail, It's also determined by what type of coating your doing Aswell 1-2 year, 3-6 etc. But with all do respect it's the good people that part the best of us detailers and earn the respect and more customers from going above and beyond to make the customer happy! Cheers mate keep up the good work.
Awesome video brother! These rvs are no joke! You must learn all the class types, oxidation removal is no joke, how do I know becouse I do it baby, I’m from central Florida, thank you god for give me the strength to keep going, help this young man he looks like he’s meant for big things in life! God bless y’all!
Hey man I polish cars and boats but just started getting into polishing RVs. Just wondering what you would charge for a wash,Buff/cut to remove oxidation, then wax with polymer sealant. I’ve done a few already and realized I’m spending $320 in presta super cut compound and $100 on wool pads. Keep in mind I’m in Canada but I’m currently at $120 per foot.
I just did my girls horse trailer for free 😂 thing was oxidized badly. Aluminum needed an acid bath and metal polish, but it’s gel coat just like boats. Grabbed some wizards turbo cut, an went to town compounding. Finished with wizards polish & sealant, I love wizards because it works on clear coat and fiberglass & gel coat
2200 is stupid cheap for a 2 step AND a good coating. Where i am cars alone go for 1500 with a two step. I could have sworn i saw people quoting 130-150 a foot for RVs.
That makes sense. I’m at $120/foot for a wash,buff/cut to remove oxidation, then polymer sealant/wax after buffing. I’ve done a few now and I always feel like I underquote. I end up using $320 in compound and 2 $50 wool pads. So $420 in product expenses alone.
Sonwhat did you charge per foot without the ceramic coating ? Without a polish just a wash ? With the wash and polish only ? And last question howbmuch ceramic did you end up using ?

What ceramic coating did you use?
I’m currently using the Adam’s Advanced Graphene Coating. My clients love it
A 2 step with ceramic coating on a gelcoat rv like that for $2500 is stupid cheap. Pro rv shops will charge minimum 5,000 for that.

I would do it by my self
Both the Kyle’s and the speed are both a one step. Seems pointless
