Bon Scott, seen here, was the original and legendary lead vocalist who tragically died back in 1980, and the amazing Brian Johnson succeeded him. Both guys were absolutely phenomenal. The band's live gig in 2009 at The River Plate Stadium, Argentina with Brian, Angus, Malcolm (RIP) Cliff and Phil was probably the greatest hard rock gig of all time, and the crowd was just insane!!! Anyone who's watched it on You Tube will testify to that. 🙋♂ AC/DC are the Gods of hard rock and always will be for me.
"Highway to Hell" is the nickname of "Highway in Australia", which runs through where original singer Bon Scott lived and ends at a bar called "The Raffles". As the highway comes to an end, it turns into a steep decline and because of this, many drivers have been killed driving fast over that intersection. Also, I love everything Brian Johnson did with AC/DC, but there's just something about Bon Scott's voice that just pairs perfectly with that music. RIP Bon Scott.
I was in AC/DC concert once. What a show. Worth every penny and more. It is so difficult to say which band is the absolut best. I think it depends of the mood.
Bon Scott was one of the best front men in the history of Rock & Roll, as he was one of a kind in his sound, personality, looks, he was a stand out for sure. And I love Brian, as he has his own sound and look, and he was an amazing fill in for a position few could fill, but he did so and was amazing in his efforts over the years. But Bon will always be my favorite, as he was truly a perfect fit for the band, and the band was a perfect fit for him.

That’s awesome. I seen Bon Scott before he died in Oakland “ called Day on the green” Even people that were passed out or laying down all stood up when AC/DC took the stage :-)
AC/DC was a staple of our music back in the day in Central California, Coalinga to be exact, bon fires & Keg parties at the Cove, living our best young lives....Mia thanks so much for this and your low key beauty today is a mirror image of you everyday...
Saw AC/DC twice in Montréal ❤❤❤i was so high 🤣🤣🤣we were dancing during the entire show live poeples are going crazy and Angus Young (guitar) is a show to see only by himself this man is unbelivable on stage
Saw them once where Brian Johnson was singing, at an outdoor show in driving rain that did not let up for the whole show. And Angus Young pulled out all the stops and played like a wild animal in the downpour. They just announced a short 2025 tour, get your tix fast if they're anywhere near you.
The late Bon Scott on vocals... Tragically, the 1979 album 'Highway to Hell' was his last w/ AC/DC... Bon Scott was found dead @ age 33 in early 1980 after passing out in a friend's car after a night of drinking at the London bars. Apparently, he choked to death while passed out on his own vomit. AC/DC were devastated but were encouraged by Bon's parents to carry on... They found UK singer Brian Johnson in 1980 and dedicated their album 'Back in Black' to the memory & spirit of Bon Scott. Bon Scott was quite a character... Born Ronald Belford Scott, born in 1946... he was a Scottish immigrant in Australia like AC/DC's guitarists Angus and Malcolm Young... He became a huge fan of rock n' roll music from the 50's (Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley) and he wanted to be a rock n' roll singer by the 1960's... His parents tried to enroll Bon in the Australian Army but they deemed him 'socially maladjusted' 😂 His first professional gig was in a pop group in Australia called The Valentines in the late 60's... In the early 70's, he joined a blues rock band Fraternity and played flute like Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull... Fraternity even toured the UK where Bon saw a singer named Brian Johnson perform w/ his band Geordie and was impressed (Bon even told Angus and Malcolm Young about him) However, a motorbike accident in 1974 nearly ended his life and his career in music was stalled. He had married and was working odd jobs in 1974 when he was hired as a driver for a band called AC/DC... He saw them live w/ singer Dave Evans and loved the band. Angus and Malcolm Young liked him and even though he was much older than the Young brothers, they asked him to join AC/DC... He offered to play drums... Then, singer Dave Evans quit the band before a gig and Bon offered to sing that night. Angus and Malcolm recalled the first show Bon Scott did w/ AC/DC in late '74 - he apparently guzzled a bottle of Bourbon and was snorting lines of coke, speed and dope before going onstage... However, his performance was electrifying and Angus and Malcolm loved his voice, his stage presence... He was in AC/DC. However, he got divorced soon after. They decided to remake the AC/DC sound w/ Bon Scott on vocals and recorded their debut album 'High Voltage' that was released in Australia in early 1975, followed by a 2nd album 'T.N.T. '... Sales were good and AC/DC was signed internationally in 1976. They toured the UK for the first time in '76 and came to N. America in 1977... Record sales for AC/DC picked up by 1978 in the disco era, even though AC/DC got no radio airplay... As a live band, they were untouchable. It was Bon Scott who suggested that AC/DC needed a new producer for the 1979 album 'Highway to Hell'... and they hired Robert John 'Mutt' Lange, who polished AC/DC's sound and the album became their first gold-selling record as AC/DC were headlining on tour. Bon Scott even admitted in a 1979 interview that he 'drank too much'... He was hero to AC/DC fans. He was always hanging out w/ everyone and never acted like he was famous... But he could never turn down booze, a hot woman, or a chance to brawl... Angus and Malcolm said that Bon liked to "have a crazy time"... but he was always there for gigs and always gave 100% onstage. In early 1980, Angus and Malcolm Young saw Bon for the last time in the studio while they were recording demos for what would become 'Back in Black'... and he offered to play drums on the demos. After jamming for a bit, they told Bon that they'd call him back after a couple of weeks to work on lyrics... Sadly, Bon Scott died just days later. AC/DC members were still in shock after hearing that Bon Scott had died, when the news came on the TV announcing his death in the UK ... Knowing his family in Australia were not made aware, guitarist Malcolm Young decided to call them from the UK and give them the sad news; better coming from the band than a reporter... Of course, Bon's mom Isa Scott got the call thinking it was Bon, only to hear Malcolm Young tell her that her son had passed away. Malcolm Young said it was the most difficult thing he had done... What made things worse was that the British press began sensationalizing Bon Scott's death in the newspapers... AC/DC was so upset w/ them that they refused all interviews from the UK press for a decade... "We've never forgiven them for that," Malcolm Young said. Angus and Malcolm Young, bassist Cliff Williams and drummer Phil Rudd all attended Bon's funeral in Australia... and Bon's parents were grateful for their support; they told the band to carry on. Years later, Brian Johnson recalled meeting Bon Scott when Fraternity came to the UK ...He admitted that he had appendicitis the night Bon Scott saw him perform. Johnson saw AC/DC perform on British TV and recognized the singer and became a fan of the band around 1977. He didn't think he was going to get the AC/DC gig in 1980 when he auditioned and was surprised that Bon Scott talked about him to the members of AC/DC.
Everyone knows this one. Even if you don't listen to rock music, they all know it. That's my favorite AC/DC album & my favorite song is Night Prowler, followed by Touch Too Much
This version of the band is with singer Bon Scott. Brian Johnson came on board when Bon passed away for their Back in Black album in 1980. Great reaction, Mia! ❤🙏😊
I've had the pleasure of seeing them on 4 different concert tours and They Always put on a Great Show!! Unfortunately I've never seen them with Bon Scott, Always with Brian Johnson.. Me and my recently passed identical twin brother (11-17-2023)Saw them on all 4 tour,Rock Party Everytime!!
Awe Mia.. I missed this by only 2 hours!! This ACDC song is just a Classic. Bonn Scott ERA songs will always be. But RIDE ON, and DOWN PAYMENT BLUES, are just 2 of my personal favorites. Any ACDC song you play, I’m here for!! Love your hair!!!
Another great song by ac/dc called "it's a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll when bon Scott plays the bagpipes and also I think that you're so beautiful
I have seen them in Pittsburgh on the Black Ice tour. One of my top 3 shows. They just announced a new North American tour for 2025, so you might actually get to see them.
this singer is Bon Scott who passed away in 1980... the older looking singer you saw in the Back in Black video was Brian Johnson who took overt the lead singer's place in the band after Scott's passing away
I saw them in Atlanta Georgia in 1991 at The Omni, held around 15,000 people, these guys blew the place up! I couldn't hear for about 24 hours after the concert, this was on their same tour as The Castle Donnington concert which was a full concert VHS/DVD back then, hands down greatest concert I ever attended!
Wait til you hear their other songs like “Hells Bells, “It’s a Long Way To The Top (if you want to rock & Roll), “Thunder Stuck” “Let There Be Rock” “For Those About To Rock( we salute you)”❤ your mind will be blown away 😅
Hi Mia I'm so pleased you really are appreciating Angus on guitar and Bon Scott was a great performer he really is a legend and I think you are truly amazing the way you are getting the great feeling for this legendary band who really know how to kick butt and rock the house down for sure keep up the great work you are totally wicked Mia
I saw them on FTATR tour and Fly on the Wall. Then again after Who Made Who was a big hit. These guys are unmatched live. They fgn kill it every night.
Classic Bon Scott AC/DC from the 70s, for more, do Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap. I saw them in a huge stadium and it was a giant party, great rocking vibe and real jubilation at their shows. If you ever get a chance to see them, Go! Great band, Enjoy! 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶🔥
AC/DC AWESOME grew up listening to them.. She shock me all night long , great song, and Thunder struck also an awesome song of theirs . That is their first lead singer .
Bon Scott will always be the front man for AC/DC for me. He was charismatic and had his own style. BON SCOTT RULES!!! Oh, and so do you Mia. Let there be Rock!
I've seen them in concert many times over the years, Mia. Including a few with their original singer, Bon Scott, who is in this video. Always a Win/Win‼️🎼🎵🎶🎸🤘
Yooooo!!! Old school AC/DC with Bon Scott 🤘😁 They're an amazing band Mia, and their discography runs deep. Money Talks, Big Balls, Dirty Deeds done Dirt Cheap
Here are some other great AC/DC songs (with Bon Scott as lead singer) worthwhile to listen and react to: * Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap * T.N.T * Touch Too Much * Girls Got Rhythm
Saw AC/DC at download 2010. A big 3 day rock festival in the UK. When we got there everyone was saying they’d cancelled because the band times for the Main stage had come out and they weren’t on it. We went in to the arena thinking we’d been cheated only to see they’d brought their own stage that was even bigger than the main stage and set it up right next door! Fantastic night!
Great reaction Mia! I saw them live twice. First time was in 2009 during the "Black Ice" tour. Hands down the best show I've ever been to. You'd be doing yourself a favour by reacting to live performances rather than official music videos. AC/DC always sounds better live and guitarist Angus Young is just not human when he's in front of a crowd. Please check out "Whole Lotta Rosie" Live at River Plate next. I can't wait to see your face when you meet Rosie lol
True story of this song..... They were on a bus in Australia going in a highway through the desert to a show.... one of them fell asleep an when he woke up another band mate has his sweety socks in his face and he said it smelled like Hell.... hence the song highway to Hell (dirty sweat socks)...
Check out their song "Dirty deeds done dirt cheap (live at river plate)" That will give you a feel of what an AC/DC concert is like. The crowd is insane.
According to Microsoft Copilot, the Back in Black tour by AC/DC reached Rochester, NY, on October 23, 1980. That date surprises me. I thought it was a little later and that I saw someone I worked with at Sibley's at that show. I got my first apartment on the 27th and I started at Sibley's about the same time. I was still 17. But the thing is, my life was in turmoil leading up to the job and the apartment. Where did I get the money for tickets? Anyway, the concert was great, with a bell and everything.
I hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving Mia. Bon Scott is the lead singer here. He died asleep in his car. I'm going to spare you the gross detail. If you want to know, google it. Just know it's gross. At least I think it is. Airbourne is a band you should definitely check out. Stand up for rock and roll should be their first song you react to Mia.
AC/DC are simple, they don't play complicated music, they just vibe and they make you vibe even more!!! I appreciate you loving complicated, groovy music and yet loving even more music that vibes (Guns, ACDC & others)
You are absolutely right! Live in concert was some of the best times I've experienced. Mia, you are enjoying rock so much, your next video of theirs should be "For Those About to Rock". Thanks for your great and honest reactions, whether you enjoy them or not. Most just say they like everything.
Mötley Crüe - Kickstart My Heart is the song. Mia I’m very confident you will like this song and you’ll also like this band. They’re huge in the 80s and early 90s. Their catalog of songs is a deep rabbit hole to enjoy. Love to see you react to them.!
This is the last album w/Bon on vocals; Highway to Hell. I think it's funny, maybe even sad, how nearly everyone these days only listens to music through uncomfortable devices mounted to their ears; both headphones hurt and those pods hurt my ears too. We all listened to music from multiple quality speakers, delivered by powerfully amped stereos, so you felt the music pass through your body when listening. The music would shake everything in the room even. So, anyway, this is Bon Scott (not Brian Johnson) on vocals. Bon was on their first set of albums. I had six albums with Bon on vocals...and he passed about seven months before I saw AC/DC live in 1980.
Love this song! Its not that the lead singer looks younger, its a different singer than you reacted to before. This is Bon Scott.. the original singer. Briann Johnson does have some similarity but Bon Scott had this different type of character on stage. a little bit of humorous bad boy attitude in there, one of the BEST front men EVER IMO
Loved the reaction! Sadly, this singer (Bon Scott) died about two weeks (February 19th, 1980) after the last gig (a make up show) for the Highway to Hell tour and just over a week before he was to start writing lyrics for the music Angus and Malcolm had already written that would go on to be the blockbuster album Back in Black! Top albums vary from source and metrics, but some show that Back in Black is the second highest selling album of all time behind only Michael Jackson’s Thriller! Being that Jackson was a solo artist, that would mean Back in Black is the highest selling album by any group ever! Cheers!
I think one of their most popular videos with Bon Scott singing is Let There Be Rock, although one that doesn't get enogh play time is Shake your Foundation. My opinion a great bop!
“Shot Down In Flames”, “Ride On”, “Touch Too Much”, and “Beatin’ Around the Bush”, are bangers! Always play Bon Scott era songs performed by BON SCOTT. Thanks!
The lead singer in this video is Bon Scott who was the first lead singer of AC/DC from 1974 until his death in 1980.
Dave Evans was the first lead singer for AC/DC, how dare you say otherwise!

Scott wasn't the original lead singer. Dave Evans founded the band with Angus and Malcolm Young in 1973. Scott replaced him in 1974.
Bon did his albums, Brian did his. Both as good but in different ways! :)
ACDC is fire. And love your hair!

I've seen them in concert many times over the years, Mia. Including a few with their original singer, Bon Scott, who is in this video. Always a Win/Win‼️🎼🎵🎶🎸🤘
I seen them in 1988 wuth a great band named Cinderella opened up. Great time to be alive for music.
I remember Cinderella- they were out of Philly weren't they? Tom Kiefer was the singer I believe. Good band, too.
Yes Cinderella, such a great band and underrated, so many good songs
You need to watch Eddie Van Halen's Eruption guitar solo from their "without a net tour. He was the guitar GOAT!!!
100%
Yooooo!!! Old school AC/DC with Bon Scott 🤘😁
They're an amazing band Mia, and their discography runs deep. Money Talks, Big Balls, Dirty Deeds done Dirt Cheap
ABSOLUTE BANGER! 🔥
Here are some other great AC/DC songs (with Bon Scott as lead singer) worthwhile to listen and react to:
* Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
* T.N.T
* Touch Too Much
* Girls Got Rhythm
More AC/DC!!! , AC/DC - Let There Be Rock!
Love this song and band, your smile is fantastic and you are one gorgeous lady.
I've seen them in concert 4 times and they are actually going to tour again next year.. I'll see you there
Love this song , one of my favorite songs when the first came out , good old school rock , thank you Mia , by the way love your hair 💕
Great reaction Mia. Loving you AC/DC journey.
You hair is wonderful btw
❤️👍🏽👍☘️
AC/DC shake your foundation, sink the pink, who made who, long way to the top of you wanna rock n rock,
Great reaction Mia!
I was able to see them on their “Fly On The Wall” tour. And yes, it was a huge party!! Hella Kool live!!
True story of this song..... They were on a bus in Australia going in a highway through the desert to a show.... one of them fell asleep an when he woke up another band mate has his sweety socks in his face and he said it smelled like Hell.... hence the song highway to Hell (dirty sweat socks)...
10/10. best of the best.
Been to their concert twice and it was like going to a party. ❤
Bon Scott !!! Original Singer - he's the greatest of all ..... by the way your hair looks fantastic today ;)
Not the first singer but the best
Check out their song "Dirty deeds done dirt cheap (live at river plate)" That will give you a feel of what an AC/DC concert is like. The crowd is insane.
Look up AC/DC River plate Argentina .There was over 200,000 at that concert . It'll give you an idea of what a AC/DC Concert is all about ..
If you get AC/DC you get rock period
I've always liked this song!!!
I went to the "Live at River Plate" concert... released on DVD... you should react, the show and the crowd... impressive!!
AC/DC are simple, they don't play complicated music, they just vibe and they make you vibe even more!!!
I appreciate you loving complicated, groovy music and yet loving even more music that vibes (Guns, ACDC & others)
You have to see Thunderstruck live at River Plate. Talk about a vibe. They're much older at this point but still do what they do.
You are absolutely right! Live in concert was some of the best times I've experienced. Mia, you are enjoying rock so much, your next video of theirs should be "For Those About to Rock". Thanks for your great and honest reactions, whether you enjoy them or not. Most just say they like everything.
Great song. Thanks for reacting Mia!
The magic in this band is actually Malcom Young The Rhythm, The Best Rhythm!!!
The best rhythm guitarist ever
@@markbailey3225 plays live like he plays studio
I think you are going to go crazy when you hear "Thunder Struck" by AC/DC. The guitarist cutting at the being of that song
Megadeth - Symphony Of Destruction Megadeth - Peace Cells
Mötley Crüe - Kickstart My Heart is the song. Mia I’m very confident you will like this song and you’ll also like this band. They’re huge in the 80s and early 90s. Their catalog of songs is a deep rabbit hole to enjoy. Love to see you react to them.!
Saw them twice, each singer.
Mia is always such a Stunner! Love that play with the zipper! Hell yeah!
Great song and reaction. Night Prowler is another great track with Bon Scott....
I think you'd like Soundgarden.
1. Superunkown
2. My Wave
3. Spoonman
4. Loud Love
5. Slaves and Bulldozers
So you had an ACDC shirt for months and now listen. Comments about to go nuts! Lol Jkjk. Messing with you Mia. Welcome to the club. ❤
Bon Scott is the original AC/DC lead singer, Brian Johnson is the 2nd after Bon passed
Cheers!
MUST listen to "Thunderstruck," its the ultimate workout/hype song!!
My two favorite AC/DC songs would be 'Mists of Time' and 'Hail Caesar' (which is one of their lesser known songs). 'Rock and Roll Train' is good too.
Thanks!
This song is in so many movies. My favorite is Little Nicky
Highly recommend any of these songs (Money Talks)(Touch Too Much)(If You Want Blood You Got It)!!!
The lead singer of bon Scott he passed away and they got a new lead singer this was their first big hit
