    𝒀𝒐𝒖'𝒍𝒍 𝑳𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔! • I Used the Nikon Z 85m...
In this video I dive into my review after one full month of shooting the Nikon Z 85mm f/1.2 S. We talk Construction, Function, Image Quality and more.
The Nikon Z 85mm f/1.2 S is a highly anticipated lens for photographers and videographers who demand exceptional image quality and versatile performance. This lens features a fast maximum aperture of f/1.2, making it ideal for low-light situations and shallow depth-of-field effects.
With a focal length of 85mm, this lens is perfect for portrait photography, capturing stunningly sharp images with beautiful bokeh. The lens boasts a complex optical design consisting of 17 elements in 15 groups, including two ED (extra-low dispersion) elements and three aspherical elements. This results in superior image quality with minimized distortion and aberrations.
The lens also features Nikon's Nano Crystal and Super Integrated Coating, which reduces ghosting and flare, providing sharp, clear images even in bright sunlight. Additionally, the lens has a customizable control ring, allowing users to adjust aperture, exposure compensation, or ISO.
The lens is designed with the Z mount system, ensuring compatibility with Nikon's Z-series mirrorless cameras. The lens also features a robust build quality, with weather sealing that protects it from dust and moisture, making it perfect for outdoor shoots.
Overall, the Nikon Z 85mm f/1.2 S is a premium lens for photographers and videographers looking for exceptional image quality, versatile performance, and reliable durability. Whether you're capturing portraits, weddings, or events, this lens is a must-have in your kit.

I've been shooting photography most of my adult life. It started with an on sale Nikon D3200 that wasn't even interested in using, all the way through being a photography business owner, teacher, and RUclips Photography Content Creator.
My favorite subjects are Human Portraits and Shallow Depth of Field with my specialty, or claim to fame if you will, being Dramatic Nude and Bodyscape. Over my many years of photography I've mastered many genres but I never stop learning and I don't want you to stop either. That's why I started my RUclips Channel in the year 2020. After a hiatus from photography, I picked up my camera again just in time for the Covid Pandemic. The world shut down. With more time than ever and no humans to photograph I found myself bored but motivated. ZWade Photo, the RUclips Channel, was born.
I have always been a Nikon brand photographer, but in my community on RUclips there is limitless room for Canon, Sony, Fuji, Leica, Hasselblad, Nikon, AND any other brand, photographers. Follow along as this channel one day grows into the biggest, most honest, and most fun photography community on the internet.

I've used the 85mm f/1.4G and 105mm f/1.4E for volleyball. Perhaps my need for a high 'keeper rate' is less than most, but they work just fine. At some point, I'll see how this does.

Great video. I agree with your points. At almost $3k I would’ve like to see an all metal build, but the fact that it isn’t an all metal build it should’ve been a little bit cheaper 🤷🏽‍♂️. I would also like to see them give their 1.2 lenses a different letter designation than S, as the 1.8’s and 2.8’s also have the S 🤷🏽‍♂️. Other than that, I love the lens. It is extremely sharp and noticeably sharper than my 85 1.8. Since it’s release, I have used it for graduation, prom, and birthday shoots and love the results I have been getting with it. I do not regret my purchase at all.

I appreciate the transparency. It is quite an expensive piece of glass, especially compared to the Z 85 1.8 with the current discount. It's definitely much better, but the price difference is astronomical. Probably a good purchase on a discount.

I bought this lens blindfolded and was the first to own it in my country. My job as a pro photographer takes me around the world and this lens doesn't disappoint in the portrait section, it delivers the job very well, but honestly I expected some high end material, especially the lens hood and above all an engraving saying, 'Crafted in Japan' not China with all my respect to China, but this a Japanese product and should be proudly marked as such, even SIGMA is proudly made in Japan, or LEICA made in Germany. That's my opinion of course wouldn't expect all to agree ....

I have the Z 70-200mm f2.8 S and the Z 50mm f1.2 S. I’m currently deciding whether to trade in my Z6 II for a Z8 to act as second body to my Z9 or to buy this lens.
