Think about it! Removing the IR filter allows more IR light to pass though giving more light for night vision..
look at some trail/game cameras you can see the IR lens move when switching from Day/Night mode..
can't you see the light when he turns off the light it goes on and off and the light is moving
Remove IR filter...and use IR led in order to see in the dark

Yeah it work’s ! I don’t why so many people are complaining about it
normally most cameras can detect infra red rays(just point a tv remote towards your phone camera and press a button ,u should see a bright light on the phone screen).But since during the day there's too much ir rays an IR blocking film is placed on the cam which reduces the infra red rays entering the camera otherwise we would get a blueish tinge to most photos taken in bright sunlight.

@@axialivanov6101 usually, most phone cameras lack an IR block filter, which is what the guy in the video removed.
If there is no IR filter, then the IR light from the remote will be picked up by the camera as there is no filter to block it.

I know this is old, but you didn't have to do anything to that camera or any other camera. Your cell phone/or a throw away point and shoot camera will pick up the IR light from the remote because it's called NEAR Infrared. Almost all cameras do this. You merely turned it into a IR receiver, but it already was one...Get a 20 dollar IR flashlight, point it at something, then look at that thru your reg. camera. Same thing. Destruction not required.

The purpose of night vision is to be able to see in the dark without projecting any visible light to humans or animals. Infrared only gets picked up by cameras, so you can view stuff through a screen using the camera to see light that your eyes cannot. If this was not a requirement then yes a flashlight would work just fine.

Ajit Kumar no, it's not fake you can try it by placing the remote close to the any camera lens, while the camera is running. And then press the remote button..
Repeating what Sayed said, It wasn't a torch it was a remote control, More specifically the IR diode that produced the light, most cameras can see within the IR range which humans cannot, You could take an IR transmitter diode and a pattery and make an IR torch that could only be seen by cameras.
