You’re spot on Michelle! Not only are the vintage pieces better in quality but better designs too. If you look hard, you can still find vintage bags in good condition and price. Can’t wait to see your Gucci after the bag spa. ❤your vintage bags!
You are definitely my new bestie too. I'm so glad I found your channel! ❤ Vintage is the best. I am on the hunt for the multi colored LV pochette in white. I had a dupe as a teen, now I want the real thing!!!
As always, your take on luxury is no holds barred and HONEST! Sadly, vintage pieces ARE the best and most true pieces of the art as it once was. In regards to Cartier, they have been making handbags since the 1920’s…not newcomers to the game but not as long as others.
You are so right Michelle. Canvas has definitely been “thinned” down, finishing is not as neat or well done. It’s a shame their main focus now is on price rises with very little concern for the quality .😢
I'm in to finding nice vintage LV bags in great condition because you can find such nice peaces in better quality. I'm not willing to pay high prices for lower quality. Can you tell me until what year the LV bags are worth buying preloved? I mean, is 2010/2012/2014 still better quality, or did LV already start declining in quality?
Thank you for this content. What tips can you share on where and how to find these lovely vintage bags? Also, what would one do if a part broke? Could you still get replacement parts for the vintage bags? Thanks so much
My vintage stuff doesn’t smell .. except the ones I got from grandma , she left in a basement .. they are like old , one is from the 70’s and they need cleaning and all . I just use them in a display cabinet. Vintage canvas is amazing !!!! Now it’s a thinner and lina rubbery ,but I hear they’re going to focus on quality again and lower prices so we will see .
The LV St Cloud is my absolutely favorite bag out of all of the bags I own!!! I wear it all the time and try to reach for other bags but I just reach for this one more. ❤
My mother bought a gucci bag back in 1982 for 178 dollars beautiful Gucci compared to the ones now also the canvas for the Louis Vuitton bags from that era was better, better quality.
Vintage for me me. After being gifted an 80's Speedy 35 from a friend I started watching you tube related videos about vintage and new Louis Vuitton bags. I kept seeing quality issues in new bags. I have to say there is no way I will buy any bag for 2000 and up. I buy only vintage bags. I feel the quality and price is better and I don't see my bags being carried by anyone in my small city so that is a plus. My snobby sister in law commented she like my vintage LV bag.
I just got my first Louis bag and it’s a Saumur 35. I’m so in love. I was familiar with other models but never before have I seen a satchel found one that was in great shape! Only problem I have is the vachetta is tearing on one side of where the strap is nailed to the bag. (If that makes sense) I barely have used it 5 times and now I’m considering letting it go or saving up to get it the vachetta replaced from Louis because I don’t know any cobblers near me let alone one that I would trust my bag :’) any suggestions? Also, how durable is vachetta? Do I have a good few uses out of it? I know it’s just a bag and it’s meant to be used but figured I’d ask you for your suggestions. ❤❤❤
I’m holding onto it because I’m realizing this really is a rare piece. And you, also, mentioned something about holding onto the more rare vintage pieces. Which I, also, agree with. Perhaps saving up to get the vachetta replaced would be worth it in the end. I guess it’s the not knowing of how much one will be charged. The straps are the only issue there’s no staining or wear and tear. Just one tiny paper cut tear on one strap. What would you do?:) anyway, loveeeeeee your videos. Blessings to you!🥰
wear it until it needs to be repaired...you can always ask what the price is and see if it's doable for you. You don't need to replace all the leather, just the one piece.
Hi! I have the same St Cloud GM in pristine condition. Am I stupid for putting apple gard even if it's already patina? I'm scared to ruin my precious bag
also the inside leather pockets of my St Cloud is starting to show some wear (it's 22 years old). any suggestions how to keep it in good condition is appreciated.
I'm about to buy a Rimowa Classic Check-L luggage soon, and I had to admit to myself that I'm buying it for the brand and its looks. Because I want to be that b*tch at the airport with their Rimowa luggage boarding their economy seat flight. I was thinking of buying a replica on DHGate for $450, but I had to think about the after-sale support if I were to damage the replica? When I buy my Rimowa, I will have peace of mind knowing that I'm only 20 minutes away from the nearest Rimowa store to have my future Rimowa repaired.

I bought a Cabas mezzo and Alto because I believe once the new launch for Fall hits the market the vintage will go up
It will! Those are both great bags and great buys!
I ONLY purchase vintage luxury bags simply because of the better quality. Some need work and a good cleaning but it’s worth the effort.

Totally agree about vintage canvas… I have a keepall 25 from the men’s collection and I think the canvas is thicker ? Interesting 🤔

If already patina’d it’s fine to put a guard. I cringe when people spray new bags because that can actually water mark it!
@@dialmstyle thank you! How often can I condition my purse? I have the St Cloud and the Ellipse Backpack that I really love.
also the inside leather pockets of my St Cloud is starting to show some wear (it's 22 years old). any suggestions how to keep it in good condition is appreciated.
And they made them now in NY at such faster pace 🙏🏿🙌🏾👏🏾👍🥰😍😘🤗❤️❤️💐🇯🇲🇺🇸
Ugh! That’s a gorgeous Gucci bag!!! 😍
Yes!
You’re right THE REAL HANDBAGS 🙏🏿🙌🏾👏🏾👍🤗😍🥰❤️❤️💐🇯🇲🇺🇸
The REAL DEAL yes!
They demand are so huge so they’re not taking their time and the material are so much cheaper 🙏🏿🙌🏾👏🏾👍😘😍🤗🥰❤️❤️💐🇯🇲🇺🇸
Is even coach has gone down with Denim collecation
I am not sure because I have not bought coach in a while. I’m quite happy with my vintage coach and have not wanted to update them…yet!
the only reason coach did new Denim is shade LV for their @@dialmstyle
