Le Mans is way better than F1 imho. More diverse cars even within one class, often with innovative technology, a more interesting track than the many new green field creations of the last two F1 decades, and of course the unique 24hrs setting.

you can add a few more FI seasons to that...I had my doubts about the Hypercar class....all gone now, great racing, yes actual overtaking racing for 23hrs...the last hour was pretty settled even if Toyota did get it back to 20 seconds behind

We only think that 2021 was AMAZING because the previous 6 years were really bad for the sport in many ways. Yes Max and Lewis fight was phenomenal, but that's it. If you look at other categories, including two-wheeled ones, there has been way more interesting seasons with more people up there for the win.

What a stunningly beautiful car the Ferrari is. This from an old timer who enjoyed the Porsche domination in the 80's with their 952's and 962's with Bell and Ickx showing everyone how it was done. A wonderful result.I'm 80 but think I will try to make it to the Sarthe one last time next year. Fingers crossed!!
Is the only one car that have made less mistakes then others and If they did they made in un unimportant part of the race . Everyone complain about bop . But this race is not about pure performance . The 94, 8 ,38 they had huge chances of wins especially the 8 , if Ryo didn’t crash could be a Toyota victory due to the issue of powercycle of the 499P . But who knows .
@@EmEs-lv7hk The Ferrari 51 made much more significant mistake. The 51 crashed during the night and had to be craned. It also had to do hard reset multiple times. The time they have lost is well over 15 minutes. The only time that Toyota lost is the crash by Ryo, and that is only like a 3 minutes lost. Had Ferrari not made that many mistakes I won't be surprised if they are like 3 laps ahead on pace.

I find it funny how 1-2 years ago on social media everyone said that Ferrari, Peugeot, Porsche and co. Drive Toyota to the ground, but you don't see anything of it. Toyota Remains strong against Ferrari, it's now a matter of time. In the end, a pit stop more or less decides 1st and 2nd place. Let's see what happens in the next 4.11 hours.
What is even funnier is that Ferrari is back after decades of not competing and you think its expected of them to just win easily? Dude the fact that they are competing for the win is very impressive… toyota has been competing at Lemans for so many years, they have fine tuned their winning formula with current regulations. @@alan133 GT World Challenge has a similar thing where they have an endurance cup and a sprint cup wirh the same teams and cars. I know these prototypes are specifically built for endurance unlike GT3s but I think just looking at the first hour after the first restart you can see they don't need to change a lot to make for an exciting sprint series.
