      Le Mans is way better than F1 imho. More diverse cars even within one class, often with innovative technology, a more interesting track than the many new green field creations of the last two F1 decades, and of course the unique 24hrs setting.

      @@nielsharksen78 I remember when F1 cars ran V12s, V10s, and V8s and they sounded great. Today's "f1" isn't what it once was, and it isn't really GP racing.
      Le Mans has long been one of my favorites because of the various approaches to achieving victory, as well as the multiple classes, racing day and night, rain or shine.

    • @nielsharksen78
      @nielsharksen78 Год назад +10

      @@sergioleone3583 I agree. I also enjoy that Le Mans usually allows multiple technologies to compete with each other, while balancing them remarkably close. For a while we had Diesel, Gasoline and hybrid combos at the same time.
      I also felt that this makes Le Mans a better test bed and marketing event than the detached world of F1, not to mention the reliability aspect. For instance, Audi competed with a TDI (turbo diesel) setup while also rolling it out in street cars.

We only think that 2021 was AMAZING because the previous 6 years were really bad for the sport in many ways. Yes Max and Lewis fight was phenomenal, but that's it. Toyota Remains strong against Ferrari, it's now a matter of time. In the end, a pit stop more or less decides 1st and 2nd place. Let's see what happens in the next 4.11 hours.

      What is even funnier is that Ferrari is back after decades of not competing and you think its expected of them to just win easily? Ferrari by comparison doesnt have anywhere the experience of toyota and yet they are there fighting for the win. This is impressive.
