Stewby’s on Okaloosa Island

We met up with the 850foodie at one of the local favorites for folks in the Destin and Fort Walton area. Stewby’s Seafood Shanty served up fresh food in a laid back atmosphere. Check out our video to see SO many seafood choices!

I ate at Sam's Oyster House (several locations) many times. It was excellent. Seems Stewby (Sam's son) paid close attention. I can still taste the gumbo. Yum.

Best food for the money on the coast. Their amberjack is fantastic.

Stewbys had great gumbo. During the on season. you will literally stand outside in line for a while. I don’t go I just live across the street so I see it every day. Environment is kind of a extremely casual. That’s why people bring all of their kids and crowd the place up. Regardless, I have not had gumbo that is remotely comparable to there’s ever. I get it at least once a month to take home
