I appreciate all the kind comments about my grandfather's truck I have allot of fond memories in this truck it always had a camper shell with lath and paint in the back of it he was a land surveyor for a living. I used to wash it and wax it when I was a young boy he taught me to always start at the top and wash it from there to the bottom so I would not damage the paint he stopped driving it in 1992 and it was fully restored November 2019 ironically he bought it november 1973. The long bed was practical for the time my father said they would travel to karate tournaments and used it to haul motorcycles for desert enduros in the 70s he recently drove it to visit his brother a 250 mile trip with no problems. He has complained that the gas mileage was not so good I found this to be funny at 85 years old who cares about gas mileage its smiles per gallon that count and a great conversation piece! Thanks to all the Mexicans that have commented my coworkers translate for me and I really appreciate all the kind words!
I pulled my chrome, worked my ass off but it is looking good now on my 74 f350 dump truck. I got two other Fords, one a 79 super cab, the other a 79 long wheel base standard cab. I am going to see that one and restore my supercab. I got one problem, i lost the original master cylinder and lines to my valve. I have since got all kinds of different suggestions but i want it back original. I am not sure which one is right for my dually as i was told there are several that can be used for that year. Some are narrow and tall and some are wide and fat looking. They all have different port outlet sizes. I tried to buy the 7/16 24 long flare 3/16 tube nut but they say they do not make them but one fella said they did and this is it he said: 7/16 3/16 long nut S141-3-716 y Fairview. I have to call now to make sure. Most are 7/16 24 and use a 1/4 tube but my truck has 7/16 and uses the 3/16 tube and i can find the short ones but the long ones are hell to find. I might have to settle and use the 7/16 24 short and flare a 3/16 line for an exact fit and use the 9/16 18 by 3/16 master cylinder rear 3/16 line out and use the 3/8 24 for the 3/16 front to the 7/16 24 front on the proportioning valve and not use those shitty adapters. I like my lines right! i hope i was sent the right master cylinder as i cannot find one pic of one on a 1974 Ford F350 dually anywhere. I was told it was the tall skinny one with the 9/16 18 thread rear and the 3/8 24 thread for the disc brake. If anyone knows any better yell at me. I love my Fords from back in 1967 up to 79. After that i forgot it. They were the best and most beautiful..
