Your video effectively shows players how to start visualizing the neck as it relates to the chord shapes (and to use those chord shapes) as “visual markers” of “where to play” on the neck and “knowing” that the proper notes “come from” the chord shapes themselves. Once the player can “see” this, they understand the relationship between chord shapes and the “proper notes” over any chord that they choose to play over. They can then work them out all over the neck and use all the different chord shapes which contain the exact same notes. In this way (over time) the player will gain great familiarity with the neck and a deeper understanding of music theory too. Exceptionally well done, Maestro. Bravo!🙌🏻🙌🏻🍎
I agree. I noticed the same thing. Plus from those 3-5-1 triads that are right in the riffs you can tell which CAGED shapes you are in. Which shape is to the left and right of the 3-5-1. Great practice routine to randomly jump around and practice reorientation.
You're a master at this stuff, really impressive. I started learning the guitar at 70 years, ten years later, well, nothing even near! But I keep trying, thank you for your lessons. 😮
I sure wish you were local so I could take some lessons with you! You’re a fantastic teacher and explain things very well and thoroughly! Where are you located?
I like how you use note names instead of fret numbers. I get why people use the numbers and I did it for years. But I never learned the relationship of the notes.
Everyone knows Justin, Andy & Marty. This guy Jules is as exceptional (dare I say better) in many ways. He fits my current skill level perfectly. Like & subscribe. You won’t regret if.
Could you please do a vid, similar to this but in Open G tuning? Are the patterns the same or are they slightly different? I can't really find anything in RUclips land that can guide me. Maybe some of the other viewers to your chanel may be able to comment on this and point me in the right direction
You are one of the best teachers online, always precise and clear.
Thanks for a great lesson

Andy who? Guitar Master is good too.
Andy Crowley. British guy.
Are all of the solos you play in your individual lessons tabbed out and available in your members area? Thanks
Jules , what string gauge and type do you use on the tele that gets that clean warm sound?
Just the basic Fender 9-42 😀
I think what you’re calling the A shape is actually the G shape of A major. I’ve been staring/rewinding several times and don’t see the A shape.

Question... where do the F# and B sounds come from?
They come from the A major pentatonic, hence fit so well over the A chord
Thank you Julius
NICE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
👍
💯💪🏾🙏🏾🇺🇲💙♥️🤍
Thank you I'm going to work on that.👍
