We may have reached the end of another playthrough, but you’ve still got a secret waiting for you in the Disney Castle now that you’ve got a cleared save.
So for 1:20:03, that's actually part 1 of the secret ending. In order to unlock part 2, you need to clear the secret bosses, all data, and secret quest (Organization XIII databases and Disney castle). THEN, you have to fight Xemas AGAIN! To see part 2. Either that or you can make a reaction video by searching it lol.
I love that you dedicated time to read thru all 13 secret reports Erika! Most KH letsplayers don't even bother or forget about the important lore
Also in case Sarah really misses Axel, you can always show her the Data Axel battle anytime until 358/2 Days if she can't wait
The longer secret ending cutscene you remember is the _second_ secret ending which you get for (if you're playing on Standard Mode difficulty): 100% completing Jiminy's Journal, 100% completing all Gummi Missions, and getting the Gold Crown (which entails beating Mushroom XIII, beating the Data Organization XIII, and... finishing the thing you've unlocked in Disney Castle by beating the game).
The unlock requirements decrease the higher the difficulty is. Proud Mode doesn't require completing the Gummi Routes. Critical Mode doesn't require completing Jimmy's Journal or the Gummi Routes (leaving just obtaining the Gold Crown).
Just for reference, by the way: the secret ending you got only requires beating all the worlds and beating the game. This is true on any difficulty.
Yea the best ending of any KH game is still the most beautiful every time! Sarah is so lucky to experience her 1st time with you Erika!
Even hearing "final" episode, the title isn't written as final/e (So we'll believe with all our hearts for final mix bonus episodes like kh1! :)

How about let Sarah do one of the three BbS storymodes like Ventus on her own channel? Hopefully she’d finish before when Erika could clear both Terra & Aqua’s stories just to speed things up a little? :)
I'm hoping that they play MoM because the end is basically a continuation of kh3, and there's a co-op mode that they can play together
I should say, I love this series as it is and look forward to more playthroughs with Erika and Sarah! I just think it would be fun if Erika randomly handed the controller off to Sarah and watch the chaos that ensues that way too!
There's still one more Secret Boss after this game. There's a special content in Disney Castle. Hopefully you get a chance to do it before you play the next Kingdom Hearts in the near future. :)
Technically there's like 14 secret bosses. Even more if you count bosses in the Hades Paradox Cup

Even if Utada Hikaru holds the rights, you're a true Kingdom Hearts lover to preserve the legendary ending feels for us all! 😻 About the secret ending movie: The one you saw here was the secret movie of kh2 originally. But Final Mix has a newer extended secret movie at Disney Castle now if you were confused why? Also I liked how you thought Riku pointed Sora's necklace at the end because in early kh1 draft it was Riku's gift to Sora why Oblivion has it as keychain!
With this, I present Sarah Miller-Crews with the Silver Crown of Longing for making it through the best game in the series. Why Longing? Well, with their Zelda break on the horizon, Sarah will now get to experience even if just a tiny taste, of what it felt like for us back in the day waiting anxiously for the next crumb of information on the future of Kingdom Hearts. Funnily enough, looking back it's clear that we didn't have to wait that long, but boy it sure didn't feel that way at the time.
Such beautiful reactions to the ending scenes of the greatest game ever! I'm slightly surprised words like "ending" and/or "reaction" weren't updated into the episode title, but I guess it just means you're a true artist who cares way more for fans' experiences than views :D
Btw, the game asked to save your data again after the ending credits because there is an extra secret movie you can unlock now ;)
First Try! Zero Deths! OMG Erika! 😍 After Sephiroth, you made Xemnas look like a wannabe video game boss 😂 But in case it felt too easy & you're keen to challenge the *REAL* Master of Organization XIII, there's always Data Xemnas, Data Roxas, or Data Demyx in Radiant Garden for next episode❣😎💕
So... no Lingering Will secret boss fight?

But you ain't done with the game yet - beating Xemnas unlocks a good chunk of content, namely the last of the Mushroom XIII, four Data Rematches, and one final surprise within Disney Castle. That means that while you may consider this Let's Play over, there may be a LOT of people saying you're not done until you at least attempt the superbosses.

I like the contrast of Riku's past and present here. In KH1 he couldn't wait to leave the island. But here, in the world of darkness, he sees a little beach and calls it perfect.
Also, how the actual f*** does Kairi's bottle get from Destiny Islands to the LITERAL REALM OF DARKNESS. Is there a random dark portal out in the ocean somewhere? Seriously, what the hell. The bottle legitimately teleported into a different dimension to get to Sora. HOW. I don't think that ever gets explained and it kinda bothers me.
Oh wait is recoded part of this plan? Cause im sure it came out for the ds no?

I believe it was somewhere during the unlocking of the seal in Olympus collusiem? I know this for a fact because I remember that was a concern many of us had about since the chain of memories was also turned into a movie version as well at one point. I remember Erika saying she didnt want to due the movie ones since she finds it boring and doesnt do the story justice.

0:50 It’s not very clear from the game itself but it’s highly implied that the secret ansem reports were written by Ansem the Wise (while he was a ruler) and the Ansem reports from the first game were written by Xehanort (before he became Ansem and Xenmas) after he took his masters name.
they literally said this in the episode when reading secret ansem report number 2 lol
@@tikitravels well i mean i kinda think Erika and Sarah are kinda biased towards Ansem the Wise so they might ignore the account and think everything said in the Ansem reports are by him (they are kinda dark in the first game)

kingdom hearts 2 is a really good ending only if you completely ignore the fact that Roxas and Namine will be trapped in someone else's bodies for the rest of their lives and never have lives of their own and be their own person
it was the storywriter's literary symbolism that nobodies (lesser people in general) won't disappear into darkness (deth into nothingness) but those "nobodies" who live their existence proving they have a heart would instead transcend the final ends of their own existences (the end of "summer vacation" in the story) to become one with the timeless eternally remembered heroes of fairytales/ heroes journey stories aka Sora & Kairi. Gotta look for the author's symbolism y'know
Of course then Nomura decided to continue the story without who wrote the kh2 ending and was like "actually yea Sora needs to untrap the 'victims' from their heart and give them their own lives to live back" because gotta make more games gotta get more munny haha... But ignoring Nomura's "continuation" of the story, which ending would make Roxas, Namine, & Xion's existences' & meaninings more impactful? Hmm...
@@tikitravels also im pretty sure people have made jokes over the fact that Sora and Kairi will never have any privacy knowing that there are people watching everything they do
but jokes aside i really liked those scenes of when Sora and Kairi talked about how they really do deserve to be their own person because symbolism or not i still feel bad for them to have a life outside of their somebodies only for them to go back and never experience it again especially when you spent the beginning feeling bad for Roxas to realize that he was never meant to be exist and he has to go be inside someone

I was worried for second you didn't rember smash both triangle and x 😂 I've seen some people do that but congrats of beating KH2FM! \o/ Excited to see the next KH after Zelda :D and Sarah about Xemnas and Axel *deleted*... See ya in the adventure!😏
kinda funny fact: pretty much everyone hates that laser bike bit of the xemnas fight, so it was one of the first things that the people who made the randomizer just made standard to delete from the game for the rando, LOL (it was that and putting the 100 acre wood at like... double speed on all the minigames, hahaha)
also, that symbol flying off of the letter Squall (Leon) is reading in the credits really is a reference to FF... the same symbol is on the back of the jacket of Rinoa, who is the main girl of Final Fantasy 8

Xemnas' final boss fight (all of it) is by far 20 times better than kh3's, in every way
KH2 is the best title in the series so far without a question, KH3 was a massive big disappointment title in compared to the others giving that it's both a main game AND the finale of the dark seeker saga.
Hopefully they learned their lessons for KH4.
I do see lots of similarities between Kingdom Hearts and Genshin Impact, like a LOT! Wondering how it all gonna end few years from bow, I cannot wait to explore Natlan nation in Genshin the nation of "War".
KH3 was NOT a massive big disappointment lol...
I hope Erika plays KH3+ReMind the best version on PC with all the top mods and unlocks the secret episode before KH4 because it's right up there with kh2fm in the greatest kh games of all time rankings! xD
@@SeanSunn I can tell you tons of reasons why KH3 was a disappointment, because they really didn't to it right like the other titles. Also this is my own opinion on KH3 so no need to take it seriously, you love the game good for you, I'm not complaining.

I really don't see how ALL THE WORLDS in this game are supposed to be themed around Sora getting back to Kairi.
It's no secret that SoRiku is my OTP, and I know everytime someone talks about SoKairi and not SoRiku I get really defensive for no reason. It's something I should really work on, specially since I have nothing against Kairi or the ship itself, I can see how cute and heartwarming it is too. But I HAVE to comment on this, so I apologize in advance if I sound toxic, I really don't mean to.
I really don't think the worlds are themed around that. SURE, Sora is trying to get back to Kairi, and he's very vocal about it, but I don't think the worlds themselves are reflecting that. 100 Acre Wood, the Land of Dragons, Beast's Castle, Olympus Coliseum, Disney Castle/Timeless River, Atlantica, Port Royal, Halloween/Christmas Town, Agrabah, Space Paranoids, NON of them. The one world were I could kinda see it is the Pride Lands, but even then I don't think it's themed around that.
Now, I will admit that I'm usually really bad at reding into stuff and just take things at face value, so if you think I missed it I'm open to anyone explaining to me how they DO reflect that.
I view it as that meme/tik tok sound: this is my boyfriend sora and this is sora’s bf riku. I love sora but sora is gay for riku and riku is super gay for sora😂
@@silverr12310 Well the thing is I can't fully decide if Sora actually is in love with Kairi (leaving aside whether or not he's in love with Riku as well), or if he just has a fleeting crush on her. As someone who is definitely gay, I can tell you I had a big crush on a girl when I was his age before finding out I was gay. Either way: Sora has feelings for Kairi (and Riku but not as obvious yet) and both Kairi and Riku are 100% sure they're in love with Sora. And, as a plus, I'm pretty sure both Kairi and Riku know how the other feels about Sora and are both insecure because of it: Kairi's insecurity is more noticeable in the novels, but you can kinda see it even in KH1. Riku is way more obvious because he keeps telling himself and everyone around him how Kairi and Sora are meant for each other, or how Kairi is the most important person in Sora's heart
@@Alfrodo8 As someone who doesn't ship Sora and Riku, Chain of Memories was originally about Sora, Donald, and Goofy (heh I did the thing) going on another adventure to find Riku and Mickey before they found Castle Oblivion and got sidetracked there. After they woke up in KH2 they decided to continue their search adventure (they said as much in Twilight Town before Mickey showed up if I remember correctly) until Yen Sid gave them their mission to save the worlds again and stop the Organization. So what I'm saying is yes, KH2 was essentially searching for Riku while saving the worlds (or maybe saving the worlds while searching for Riku?).
Now this is where my opinion comes in that Sora searching for his buddy Riku that got locked in the realm of darkness has nothing to do with shipping or Sora's orientation. Kairi was just fine on Destiny Islands so he didn't have to worry about her until Axel abducted her, so Sora searching for her also doesn't have anything to do with shipping or Sora's orientation.
There are some moments I can consider as indications of what Sora's orientation is, but they are spoilers for a different game so I can't mention it at all.
Conclusion, I don't think KH2 gives any indication of either ship in specific terms of the world's themes. There are some examples we can look at KH2 for either side but those are specific moments rather than the conversation of the themes of the worlds.
@@Dexrazor Honestly I agree with you there. As of KH2 I really wouldn't believe myself if I said "Sora clearly likes Riku". I certainly ship it that way in that game already, but there's no telling how Sora actually feels about him in that way.
iirc my reading of some if not all of the Disney worlds in KH2 (I can't remember at the top of my head right now) is centered around Sora and Riku's relationship (not romantically mind you) in the past and present. Of course that is MY reading of it, but hard as I try I really can't see the worlds in KH2 reflecting Kairi and Sora's relationship. Like at all. THAT'S what I was trying to get at before.

Aside from the secret ending, Kingdom hearts 2 would have been a fine place to end the franchise on (until Nomura thought it was a good idea to use lore as a marketing technique)💖
