I have a new double single to share with you, this time from "Outer Wilds" - a game that blew my mind when I played it last year. It combines many of my favorite elements: sci-fi, exploration, and a time constraint mechanic, and so it quickly became one of my top 5 games of all time!
Its uplifting music and story have stuck with me ever since.
I wanted to create a simple but wholesome orchestral rendition based on the style that I used to arrange when I got started in the industry. It's been fun to revisit some of the things that inspired my work back in the day.
I've also included a piano version best suited for relaxing or study/work sessions, which I often find the need for.

Same! I played it once. It took me about 20 hours to solve, maybe? I'll never play it again, but will never need to. One of the best and most memorable games I've played in decades.
@@MentalAtrophysame I played for about 12 hours I believe and by fluke beat the game. I still come back every now and then to just fly around.

My father passed away today.
Before dying he told us that he wasn’t scared, as he came from stardust and will be stardust once again.
If that’s okay, I would like to play this song for his funeral, in the memories of his love for space exploration, music and traveling around the world.

This game will forever be number 1 in my heart. I would give anything to be able to play Outer Wilds for the very 1st time again. Seeing my 1st loop supernova, taking in Timber Hearth's beauty, braving the storms of Giants Deep, falling through a blackhole on Brittle hollow, seeing and landing on the quantum moon, running through the caves on the ember twins...even going through the horrors of Dark bramble and the Owl people's space ship.....if i could see it....hear it...feel it all for the 1st time again it would give me that joy all over again.

I haven't played the game or even watched anything about it, but its getting me oddly close to crying. I can't imagine how its gonna be if I do.
@@poseidonm7 I don't simp over any other game but this one. It is, hands down, my favorite game of all time. If you have the time and $30, I would highly recommend playing it.

By the way anybody who hasn't played this game you probably should (assuming you don't hate puzzle games). It's best to play it with no context so don't spoil yourself!

Never expected an Outer Wilds song from you, but it's certainly not something I'd ever turn down!
At first launch of the game, I first thought that this game was about exploring a "solar" system out there in another universe.
With maybe strange things, freaky ones, puzzles, little story behind but nothing more.
Dude, how much I was wrong, this game is EVERYTHING but not a game about exploring.
This game brings the biggest fear of a human in the core game. The fear of the unknow.
This masterpierce is not only just wandering around space with your space shuttle.
It's also having this weird little thing in your mind of "What happened to my friends out there".
What's happening for them, for me, for us in the future ?
This game learn you that time matter. That every second you spent into it could be totally different experience if you we're doing another thing instead of what you've planned 5mn ago.
Masterpiece is the only word that comes in my head right now.
I wish I could just have the hability to forget games like this to be able to revive the same emotions I had when playing the first time.
I’m traveling to work this morning and on my Pandora station that I’ve listened too since 2012 I am greeted with this beautiful piece. Immediately the essence that came through was Rozen. I’ve only listened to the Zelda covers he’s created also through this same station, but I knew after the first few notes that I needed to know the name of this song. At first I thought it was an original song of Rozen and then I noticed it was a main theme. So then I searched the game up and now it seems I have found a truly special game that I will need to play this weekend. That being said this cover is special piece it’s self drawing out emotions and I’ve never even played the game. I could only imagine the feeling of those who played the game would feel when listening to such a nice orchestral rendition of it. One of these days on of Rozen’s covers is going to catch the algorithm and maybe then will he get the praise he deserves for what does. Rozen great job and keep it up!

to me it feels like an orchestral adaptation takes away the purposefully rustic/primitive nature of the original composition. can't deny the quality in your work though. good stuff

I just recently finished outer wilds and tried looking for an extended version "title theme/outerwilds".
Felt nostalgic because of the music (and the whole game) and the fact that i ended up once again on your channel.
