    Thanks. I didn't even know this tool existed and I have been using Affinity Photo consistently for the last year. It does work very well and I know I will be using it often. The tool seems to display differently for me while I am using it. It displays like it is an eraser. There is not much help to be found on this tool just a very brief description of its purpose. The internet is very inefficient when it comes to useful information on how to use any of the Affinity Programs. Many more Affinity tutorials are needed.

      Which program do you like better if you say, Affinity Photo or Photoshop Elements 2020 ? I have both

    • @HTGGeorge
      @HTGGeorge  3 года назад

      @@markferrell2470 I like them both equally for their strengths but since Affinity Photo is aimed more at photo and Photoshop Elements is aimed more at creative I tend to use Elements more often.

    The black propeller blade, white sky areas in this image are not very complex in colors and detail. How well will this tool work on an image that's more complex?

    • @HTGGeorge
      @HTGGeorge  3 года назад

      This tool blurs out the image where it is applied, it tries to leave edges alone but it will lose small details. It is best used for areas like shown in this video. You can use different size brushes to control how the effect is applied.

    will this work for photoshop elements 2020

    • @HTGGeorge
      @HTGGeorge  3 года назад

      Photoshop Elements doesn't have a tool like this, but since this is working with jpeg files you can do this step in Affinity Photo then open the image up in Photoshop Elements for whatever else you want to do

    👏🥰Wow🥰👏 - this looks like a terrific program, and I have two questions. I no longer have a Mac; will it work on an iPad? Also, I went to your site immediately and put your tutorial in my cart only to discover that I won’t have enough funds to purchase it until my social security check is in my account on November 24. Will your temporary introductory price still be in effect on November 24?

      HI Bonnie, the price discount is there to the end of the year. Affinity Photo is available for the iPad and is only $19, what a bargain! My training is demonstrated on a Windows PC so I don't know how closely it will match the iPad version, it may not be appropriate.

      Oh, dear. Thank you, but I am so in need of specific beginner directions that I am probably too simple-minded to be able to translate your no doubt GONZO Windows-based instruction into iPad-speak. I guess I’ll have to pass... 😉

      Thanks for the offer but it wouldn't help right now as I am booked solid on new course creation clear into Spring. At that point I will probably buy one.

      Your teaching is so clear, and I understand your instruction so well, that I would be happy to send my iPad to you to use in development of an Affinity Photo for iPad tutorial. Also, Affinity Designer looks interesting too. Would you be interested in designing a tute for it too?

      @@bnyzhny I am planning on doing a course for Affinity Designer which is a great program. It is very much like Adobe InDesign. Right now though I have a long list of other courses to create, the next one up is Adobe Premiere Elements 2021 which I am starting on next week. This week I have a couple of sponsored videos have to get through. After the Premiere Elements I am doing a course for Adobe Photoshop which will take me a couple of months to put together, then courses for Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, by that time we are in Spring.
