Jesus tells us us who we really are.
"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one- I in them and you in me-so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, "
How do we remember who we are, who God knows us to be?
"For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you."
We cannot know who we are by finding guilt in others because we are like them and they are like us and truly we are like Christ, but that only comes by seeing Christ in everyone through forgiveness, not by our sacrifice or any other.
"And if you had known what this means, 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the guiltless. "
Have you seen how Ray goes over the 10 Commandments to prove that people are sinners? Jesus never did that. He forgave them seeing their innocence,, not their guilt.

@@robertdouglas8895 To begin, I have prayed for you, Robert. Both for your well-being, and that God will draw you closer to Him. Truly, in this life there is nothing more important than our relationship with the Lord. I strive to be nearer to Him each day as well. To do so each moment would be my heart's desire. I hope this message finds you doing well. I read your comment, and I felt the conviction to respond, and so I will give my thoughts on your comment in hopes that it might confer to you some benefit.
It's not that Jesus forgave them because they were innocent, nor does he forgive us because we are innocent. He forgives us when we become truly repentent for our crimes and give ourselves into His hands, being justified by our faith in Him. Endeavoring to follow His commands as best we are able, for He is our Master and our God. Our lamp in the darkness. It is not that anyone in the flesh has ever been innocent (aside from Christ). Rather, the Lord is so supremely merciful that He gave us a path to redemption even though we don't deserve it. If any man could have been innocent of his own power, Jesus would not have had to die on the cross for us. Paul says as much in Galatians 2. Moreover, in Romans, Paul notes..
"as it is written: 'None is righteous, no, not one ' "
      Romans 3:10 ESV
If one does not understand that they have broken God's holy laws and that they are guilty before God, then repentance will seem foolish. Why repent when you don't think you've done anything wrong? How can someone properly appreciate Christ's sacrifice when they don't understand what sins even are? It is our imperative as Christians to inform others of their sin and what sin is (i.e. sin is breaking God's laws). We do not say these things to be haughty or arrogant (that, too, is sin), but rather because we are also sinners. In a manner of speaking, we know every human born into this world has a disease (aside from Christ). We have access to a perfect medication for the disease and can tell others where to get it, but we need to convince other people that they actually need the medication, so they will actually acquire it and not succumb to their illness (i.e. go to Hell).
If we do not teach others about the nature of sin and our inherent condemnation before God, they may even readily "accept" Jesus simply because there will appear to be no cost to follow Him. They will likely not think that they need to change anything about how they live, and they will most likely tack a false interpretation of Jesus onto their life. A false interpretation of Jesus will not save anyone from damnation.
Also, you should keep in mind that in the gospels, Jesus was primarily preaching to Jews who already knew the law. They didn't need to be informed about the law as much as they needed to have the deeper aspects of the law conveyed to them. Hence, Jesus revealed that looking at someone with lust was adultery. Hating your brother is murder in God's eyes. Etc. The Jews had taken solace in following the letter of the law without understanding the spirit of the law, and Jesus pointed out where they had gone astray from God's intent.
The gentiles who Paul and other apostles preached to needed more education about the law because they lacked an Abrahamic background. We effectively live in gentile cultures these days where few even know the Word of God. It is our duty to inform people about what is right and wrong in God's eyes. Not to beat them over the head with it, but so they know where they stand in God's sight.
Moreover, if we are to truly follow Christ, we must understand what God desires from us. His Word and the commands contained within are the guidelines for our lives. Christ even tells us that if you do not keep His Word, then you don't even love Him.
"Jesus answered, 'If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. The one who doesn’t love Me will not keep My words. The word that you hear is not Mine but is from the Father who sent Me.' "
      John 14:23-24 HCSB
I, personally, feel that John 14:23-24 is some of the most convicting text in the Bible. Especially when paired with this text from Matthew 7:
“ 'Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father in heaven. On that day many will say to Me, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in Your name, drive out demons in Your name, and do many miracles in Your name?’ Then I will announce to them, ‘I never knew you! Depart from Me, you lawbreakers!’ ' "
      Matthew 7:21-23 HCSB

    • @themeekkat
      @themeekkat Год назад +3

There are some notable ones on TBN. The whole Charismatic crowd and people that promote the "little gods" thing that has more in common with Mormonism than Christianity. TBN promotes TDJakes (a modelist who promotes the prosperity gospel. Modelism says that God changes "modes" and that there is no trinity.)
Joyce meyer - (another prosperity teacher who said Jesus was beat up by demons in hell before he rose again. She also said at some point he stopped being God). She also holds to the little "gods" thing. Calling herself as apart of the "god" kind.
Joel Osteen (there's a lot that could be said but one notable thing is that he didn't want to make the message of Christ a "narrow" thing. He panders a lot. He's just a motivational speaker.
Steven Furtick (I've seen him with TDJakes and promote other false teachers. He's just the same. But to be more specific he said that Jesus "broke" the law for love. This is blatant heresy. Jesus fulfilled the law because he lived a perfect life. He never sinned. To say he broke the law is to say he is not God. This error makes the "Jesus" that he promotes is a false Jesus. A different gospel and not the true gospel. He also says in summary that God's power is limited. Not impossible as in "God can't do evil because he is the definition of Good", but "overriding" unbelief.
This is barring from the heresy and shady backgrounds of the founders of TBN. (Paul crouch JR stated that his father had a drinking problem and would get so hammered that he was even drunk before going on set.
TBN also has had other issues they have tried to cover up with money.
For why prosperity gospel is a heresy I'll mention tithing and what it is and isn't. I won't explain it in fullest of detail but I will point to scripture.
Tithing was apart of the old covenant. It was specifically food for their ministerial work. They didn't have an inheritance so God made sure they were taken care of.
      It wasn't money.
Money existed during that time. The only time money was regarding the Levites was when it meant dealing with distance too great and for the money to be changed into food.
Those were just small exceptions. Tithe was mainly food.
      Numbers 18
21 “Behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tithes in Israel as [i]an inheritance in return for the work which they perform, the work of the tabernacle of meeting
It was also for those in the most vulnerable positions of society like Widows, Fatherless and the strangers.
      Deuteronomy 26
12 “When you have finished laying aside all the tithe of your increase in the third year-the year of tithing-and have given it to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, so that they may eat within your gates and be filled,
God is so amazing. Look out for these people and ensuring they would be taken care of.
Let's understand this though. Jesus's sacrifice fulfilled the law. Before he died, the law was still in effect. So he had to obey the law to fulfill it perfectly.
After he died, the old law became dead to us.
Romans 7 explains this in detail by comparing it to marriage (because marriage is a symbol for this)
"2 For the woman who has a husband is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives...."
This was us with the old law that God gave us. We were bound to this law. Had we tried to go to another it would be like the wife going into Adultry. Going after another man while married. (Us going after a false god when we have the one true God
"...But if the husband dies, she is released from the law of her husband."
This is also us. Because Jesus is apart of the God head..... (Triune God. full in unity. This is just how the bible describes it)
....when he died, the old law became dead to us.
"3 So then if, while her husband lives, she marries another man, she will be called an adulteress"
If we went to another "god" we would be like this. An adulteress.
"....but if her husband dies, she is free from that law, so that she is no adulteress, though she has married another man"
Since Jesus rose again, he became the new husband. And by him we can go into the kingdom under a new law. A law of grace. This is all because Jesus himself is God.
If he wasn't God the law would still be in effect. But since he died, the old law became dead to us. BUT! Since he rose again, we have the opportunity to be under a new law. The law of Grace!
To go back to the old law would be an insult to Jesus. It would be like the woman, now married to the new husband, going back to the cold arms of her dead former husband and cling to him. It's VERY insulting.
Back to tithing. Let's consider Galatians.
In Galatians, Paul confronts Peter for enabling a false gospel. The false gospel of circumcision. If you remember, it was apart of the old covenant. A law given to the jews. As we say in Romans, that law is dead to us.
And it isn't a minor thing either!
      Galatians 1
6I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the *grace of Christ*, to a different gospel, 7which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to *pervert[a] the gospel of Christ*. 8But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be [b]*accursed*. 9As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be *accursed*.
To be accursed means to do nothing with. Circumcision was that false gospel because it is again, like a woman clinging to the bones of her dead former husband. It isn't the gospel of Christ. You can't be justified by following the law!
      Read Galatians 5 NKJV
1Stand[a] fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a *YOKE AND BONDAGE*. 2Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become *circumcised*, Christ will profit you nothing. 3And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is [b]a debtor to keep the *WHOLE LAW*. 4You have become estranged from Christ, *YOU WHO ATTEMPT TO BE JUSTIFIED BY LAW; YOU HAVE FALLEN FROM GRACE*. 5For we through the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. 6For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.
      (Caps just for emphasis)
Notice he said you would be a debtor of the whole law. This same logic would apply to tithing too. It is apart of the old covenant. Not the new covenant. It falls under the same false gospel as circumcision.
Anyone following tithing and circumcision, according to God's word, is to be marked and avoided.
Why? Because it is a perverted false teaching that makes you fall from grace!

As a child I grew up in a Hispanic church that used the law of the Lord, but as I assimilated & I had a desire to attend a typical American youth group, where I saw more of the modern evangelism..."accept Christ into your heart, etc..." I essentially became a false convert. It was not until this year that my husband introduced me to Living Waters in that moment everything "Clicked" I realized that small immigrant church, even though I wanted so badly to fit among my peers, had it right all along. Now as a parent I have always questioned what age is appropriate for children to be baptized and this video really hit the nail on the head see 53:11 (oddly enough that church believed a child was 'too innocent" to understand sin & what baptism is). Thank you for covering this topic.

That is not the True Gospel of Jesus Christ that's Not salvation that's probation
If it anything like what u just said like adding " "repenting me turning from sins"
      THAT'S A LIE FROM HELL.
do you know why Jesus died?
Jesus Christ died for all our sins past present future.
It is not by our own works of turning from sins confessing sins to be saved
It is all about what Jesus Christ did for us all on the cross by shedding His Powerful Innocent Precious Blood for all our sins .
For those who believe in Jesus's Finished Work in His death burial Resurrection as a payment for their sins is saved .
We are all sinners deserving hell forever
We all fall short of The Glory of GOD
We cannot save ourselves from hell forever.
Only by believing in The Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ and what He did we are Saved forever.
Jesus Christ is that perfect Sacrifice for our sins
Jesus Christ came down from Heaven being fully GOD and being born of a virgin birth being fully man.
Jesus Christ lived a Perfect and SINLESS Life He knew no sin.
We are Saved by Grace Alone through Faith Alone in Christ Alone nothing more nothing less.
It is not of ourselves lest any man should boast.
Salvation is a Free GIFT from GOD
      We cannot lose Salvation.
      Once saved always saved.
So do you believe in what Jesus Christ did on the cross His death burial and Resurrection for the payment of your sins past present future
Or do you believe you have to add something you do for salvation in with THE ALMIGHTY POWERFUL PRECIOUS INNOCENT BLOOD OF JESUS WHICH IS SUFFICIENT ENOUGH?
The Bible says that our works are like Filthy rags like tampons to GOD .

He often tells people they have to "turn from sin" to be saved, which is works. Of course he never explains how much one must "turn from sin" to be saved. A convenient blank.
He's been called out on this for years, and he misleads many people. The problem is, Ray does not understand what "repentance" means, and has taken a variety of verses completely out of context. No doubt he's saved, and we should pray for him, but he should be marked and avoided for preaching a false gospel.

@@maggie4126 The act of trying to “turn from sin” is a human work according to scripture. In particular, the act of trying not to do something (like refraining from sinning) is doing something.
That’s not what repentance is. Repentance is the 180 degree change in mind from belief in anything other than Jesus to save us, to only Jesus to save us.
Why? Because we can’t say we trust in Jesus to save us if we believe Buddha and Mohammad also save us. That’s not trusting in Jesus. Therefore, the change of mind needs to be Jesus only.
      I hope this clarifies “repentance.”

I gave my heart to the Lord on a Monday on the school playground when I was 8 years old. I had heard a sermon the night before and I didn’t want to go to hell. I was brought up in a Christian home…my daddy being a preacher but I don’t remember if it was his sermon or not but I had the fear of the Almighty instilled in me!!!
I am 71 and am still a strong believer although I hosted my own music shows in bars for 25 years but I never forsook my faith but wasn’t living 100% for my Lord. I did a lot of witnessing during those years but felt like a phony singing in bars and pubs. I was just using my talents to help pay the mortgage.
I’ve been out of that for over 15 years now and am doing all I can to witness when I can by leaving Ray Comfort’s tract’s wherever I go. I have terrible knee pain so I’m witnessing on Facebook, posts…like this…on RUclips and leaving gospel tracts. I’m trying to make my God pleased by sharing His Word.

This was the sweetest, silliest, most wonderful interview ever! I love Ray and Todd both so much, and to see their wit and humor collide with their love for the lost all in one awesome sit down-it was just pure magic.

Ray has helped me see through the worst of all things. When I look at teaching he is on target. There are elders in the Church and he meets the order.

I love Ray’s ❤ and how he loves people so much that he must tell the truth about God’s word and what it means. He does take Gods word seriously. ❤

@Quint-ib4nf I have no idea what you're talking about. I never heard that, perhaps he was showing compassion to people and hating an act instead of hating people and hating the act. Hating what people do and not hating people is what the Bible commands Christians to do, find this hard myself to do sometimes.

@Quint-ib4nf maybe there's something nobody knows about the situation that Ray does. I don't know. I do know what the Bible says. And Ray says it, so he is cool in my book. I don't really care about his opinion on earthy things when deciding if he has sound theology, a spiritual topic. I've heard him preach in video many times, and it is 99% sound, which is a lot more than almost everyone else.

Jesus Christ earthly ministry should be the example " of what a Christian should be"
I mean all The disciples imitated Christ .
Jesus said " man cannot live on bread alone "
Only by The Word of GOD we can get clear instructions on how to live a godly life .
Not trust man and his own ways .
We shouldn't be worshipping man or idolizing man
but we should be Worshipping GOD all the time .

@@Jesussaves.7777this is what Ray preaches and reiterates through parables so modern day people who would likely never read a decent amount of, for some, hard to understand scripture translated from an ancient language, to plant a seed so they might eventually be saved. No one is idolizing a man. Were giving props to a good man of God. The next message down is to you as well.

@@HurryHurryOmahaand how is that? How dare he tell people the truth of the gospel that does not contradict scripture.
I'm guessing you think repentance to sin is works?
A work is defined as a physical action. Saying nice things to people, donating to charities, feeding the poor, these are works.
Repentance is a change of mind, the same as the meaning of belief itself; it is not a physical work. It automatically happens to every Christian who is a true believer, it's evidence that you truly believe. A nonrepentant self called Christian is a hypocrite, and I encourage you to google scripture verses about what Jesus and Paul say about hypocrites.
Repentance is the belief that sin is wrong. If you really believe that, you'll try not to sin. If you don't. You do not really believe. Re read the hypocrite statement above.
1 Cor 6:9 isn't kidding...So seek your salvation with fear and trembling, not scoffing someone legitimately not preaching false gospel that this world drinks up like they do their iniquity.
