Ya I liked the older Unifi OS settings area, it just seemed more organized to me in the OS settings themselves. I can understand why they merged it into the settings area of UniFi though, just dont like the layout of the settings now.
It does however I have run into an issue with either changing Bluetooth audio source or when roaming between WiFi access points or cell towers that audio becomes one way. Basically I can hear everything but no one can hear me. Anyone else having that issue?
I just wish on Control Plane that they would put Console on the first tab, then Updates, then Storage, then Push Notifications. This of course if just my personal opinion. The other option would be to allow users the ability to rearrange these tabs to their own preferences. That way users could put whatever is most critical to them in the first tab.
If the Unifi Talk Plus Plan had included a small allotment of caller ID lookups (~300) it would have been a good fit for a certain community of our clients. Will have to keep an eye on Talk to see if Ubiquiti comes around on caller ID in the lower priced plan.
They need to add a standalone softphone. I'm starting a business and it's just me and I have a 3rd party VoIP provider. I'm spending much less than $25/mo so I have no need to go with their plan other than the soft phone. They also need to add multi-line capabilities to their IP phones. I'd like to be able to have my direct number and a separate line for my 800 without a separate phone. Cisco has been able to do this for probably 20 years.
If I have three employees, and one 1-800 business number in Canada, under the Canadian Pro Plan, can all three employees' iPhones ring when someone dials the 1-800 number?
I have cats too so I get it. They just love to "interrupt" whatever you are doing. I really "love it" when I am trying to work on my laptop and they come up and just lay on the keyboard so I cannot type.
The one problem I have with Control Plane is that I couldn’t figure out how to give a user admin privileges to the network and not the console setting now.
Please let Ubiquiti know the Control plane changes are horrible and not navigation friendly. If it ain't broke, leave it Unifi. This addition was simply a case of "the square root of nothing", no valued added.
I don't like how protect tells me every step people take that are spoted by cameras, it needs to just warn me once and record until the person or whatever is no longer seen by the camera.
The Control Plane is slightly confusing to me. How they have organized it. The biggest thing being that "Network" or "Protect" is the highlighted tab at the top, which makes me think I'm editing those settings.
Sorry my mistake, UNVR has the option of Google, OneDrive and NAS, which is what I was missing XD they added it quickly XD but in fact I have only been running UNVR since yesterday XD
Control plane is the admin services dashboard we needed! Less clicks to see reporting on firmware versions and the click to address the app console needs is in one spot… big improvement!

Have you tested this softphone app away from your Wi-Fi network to see if it works off cellular data to receive and make calls

Not having SMS in the softphone is a massive fail on their part.. hoping for it to come in *near* future

Ya being able to rearrange would be really nice

when they get the sms then will be no question ask when you need to travel abroad :p using wireguard back home and local number when need to call :P

So, no softphone for 3rd party SIP?

Cody, what are using when customers request wireless headsets for Unifi phones? It does not appear they support USB headsets like the Yealink WH62?
Wow Unifi talk has come so far.

I have a site with 1 UDMSE, and 2 UNVRs, but i am only able to merge 1 of the UNVRs, is that expected?
The softphone should be include in basic plan. I am paying $18 and unlimited phone with other provider. I will wait until the price is match. Thanks

*UI Identity softphone for non enterprise users only.
Call recording no longer records Smart Assistant interactions either.
do the phone require q subscription or something? I can't imagine it's buy and done
can you use sip extensions in unifi talk and not be limited to the 5 internal line limit?
The new dashboard is great all the information it gives now on the dashboard
The way they placed control plane is crap. I want the icon in the top menu back.

The drive account lacks the ability to save to a local NAS, e.g. on Synology

Hi Mac, do you know the ETA for the Talk Pro Plans in Canada by any chance?
They are in Canada. I’m using it right now
Where did you find the documentation that said only five softphones per pro plan can you share that?
Control Plane blows.
