You guys totally missed one of the worst mistakes in the film. Matt Murdock and his pal are supposed to be DEFENSE attorneys, but appear to be PROSECUTING a court case in the beginning of the film.

@@Varinz idk how they do it in that series(as i don't watch it)... but many big cases aren't just one court session and can take days... you will have time to conduct further investigations and submit more evidence... and if you know someone is lying about something, you know where to look for

I don't blame Ben Affleck at all!! Unlike most actors, Ben was a HUGE Daredevil fan so it made sense that he would take the role the first chance he got. I blame the directors and writers for making this film turn out the way it did!
ShinbrigTV Actually, I was told that the blame is on the studio, that wanted a teen movie. The director's cut is better than the theatrical release... Ben did what he could with the material given... The bad about it is, if he is such a great fan of DD... well... we all know DD is better than that.

Elias Wewel They've become a lot more generous. Mad Max: Fury Road, for example, was kind of positive as well, as was Star Trek and Star Wars. In older trailers, like LoTR, they were a lot more sarcastic and and only mentioned the negative parts.

TheCurl Affleck is actually pretty good in it. I thought the movie as a whole was a bit disappointing and not that memorable rather than being downright terrible.

TheCurl Yeah, if you listen to some of the behind the scenes stuff, there was some serious bad blood between the studio and the director. He doesn't seem to much like the theatrical release either.
I thought the director's cut was okay. I really liked how the movie showed how hard it was on him physically to be a superhero. And it was a great detail that he needed a sensory deprivation tank to sleep.

Daredevil: The Album is actually an amazing soundtrack and truly a highlight of my pre-teen years.

It was good. One of my favorites is Won’t back Down by Fuel , For You by The Calling , Caught in the Rain by Revis , and Both Evanescence songs Bring me to life & My Immortal.

People give this movie, and Affleck, way more shit than it deserves. That was 2003. Superhero movies back then were still crawling into shape and were cheesy as hell. Remember Raimi's Spider-Man, which was cheesy as fuck, came out one year before that. Give it a break. Daredevil wasn't a great movie but it was fun for the time and the reasons why the movie wasn't great had nothing to do with Affleck. He did what he could with what he was given.
Forn Cation Same can be said about Ryan Renolds as Green Lantern or George Clooney as Batman but because of the movies were written so bad it kinda hurt there chances wanting people to see them in another superhero movie. I hope Ben knocks it out of the park as Batman.

No, there is no excuse for how bad Green Lantern was. By then, the MCU was in full steam, cranking out Iron Man and Thor (I think... Im not going to check my references for a comment). Dare I say Avengers was out or on the verge of coming out. GL was bad and the people who made it should feel bad. They all seen good superhero movies. And they all seen bad ones. (I know for a fact...ish... that Spiderman 3, Ghost Rider, Fantastic Four and Daredevil all came out before green lantern. Maybe even Iron Man 2.)
And let us not speak of that Bat-Clooney...
Raimi's Spider-man was better than that amazing Spider-man shit we have now.

Forn Cation If we're talking about the theatrical release, then I personally think that it deserves every inch of scorn that it got. (Then again, I don't particularly care for the first _Spider-Man_ or _X-Men_ either, so I suppose that says something about my tastes.) On the other hand, the director's cut is seen in a far more favorable light by man; it actually shows Murdock as a competent attorney, and has something of a character arc for him. It isn't *great* - the fight scenes are still over-the-top, the licensed music is still out of place, and it's still incredibly cheesy in a lot of scenes - but I think that it's definitely a lot more watchable than the theatrical release.
So this is what happens when Alfred puts BATMAN's and ROBIN's COSTUMES to wash together in the landruary?

That was the point of the movie. He went to extremes with the criminals he fought, but then he gets a wake up call and realizes that killing makes him evil, so he decides to spare the life of the person he's been trying to kill the whole movie, determined to become a good guy again.
And, oh my freakin' Zod, that's the plot of "Batman v Superman", too.

Yep. There was nothing wrong with Affleck in this movie. It was all the writer/director's fault. And Jennifer Garner honestly felt completely out of place.

Nah. This movie was bad for a lot of reasons. It wasn't just any one person's fault. It was a collection of bad ideas and questionable acting choices that came together in harmony to ruin a classic comic book story and some great characters.

Aww, they didn't mention my favorite stupid moment: After fighting DareDevil for the first time, Bullseye turns to the Kingpin and angrily says *"I want a bloody costume!"*
Cut to the next scene where Bullseye... doesn't have a costume. Then proceeds to never get one. And it's never brought up again for the rest of the film.
Even the director's cut doesn't explain it.

Thiago Silva Dude, he said jack shit about popularity and even if he did Evanescence was one of the more popular Nu Metal/ Alt Metal/ Post Grunge acts of the 2000s along with Linkin Park, Disturbed, and the like. Evanescence was shit when they debuted, like a lot of bands from the time.

Smokey McJoint They aren't around because Ben Moody, their drummer quit. Not only was he a kickass drummer that was easily as popular as the lead (did I mention he's the DRUMMER? Drummer's never get any recognition) he also came up with short stories that bordered on bonafide pieces of art from which the band's many musics stemmed from.
Ever wondered why they flopped after this? Everyone liked Evanescence for two things: their singer's etherial, yet powerful, voice, and their songs' lyrics. Without the influence of Ben Moody's short stories, the next albums' lyrics flopped HARD and Evanescense went from topping with songs about introspection, salvation and suicide, to songs complaining about why some drunk motherfucker only called Amy when he was sober. They lost their spiritual edge, and a good voice alone won't carry your shitty generic trash.
Now I want to buy that soundtrack to hear more from my favorite bands of my teen years.

It's possible to like Nu-Metal or Industrial Metal and also enjoy classic Metal as well. Metallica is still one of my favorite Metal bands. I just enjoy variety in my musical tastes and all the bands I listed are bands that I personally enjoy. So next time keep your mouth shut and don't tell me to listen to a musical style it would've been possible I didn't like, though I do. And if you want real metal, then you'll want to listen to the first metal bands in history, the ones who set the grounds for metal. Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Steppenwolf, Led Zeppelin, and Deep Purple. Those are technically REAL Metal bands

The whole courtroom scene was just plain awful writing. Murdock was supposed to be prosecuting him, but he's a defense attorney, not a prosecutor. No idea what he was even doing there.

Funny, but come on guys the movie was not that bad (it wasn't amazing either), it had a lot of great elements that were not put together into a cohesive package.
To me the Daredevil movie was more along the lines of the Incredible Hulk quality wise but nowhere near Batman and Robin (that movie still gives me nightmares, its so bad).
