Business Email (business inquiries only): hunterclimbingsolutions@gmail.com In this video we meet up with Chad Draper of Redneck Rising TV and let Chad explore DRT & SRT climbing for saddle hunting. Check out Chads youtube channel Redneck Rising TV / @redneckrisingtv
In our first video (watch here: • Best climbing techniqu... ) we introduced you to our method of climbing.
In our second video (watch here: • DRT Mock Hunt for Larg... ) we filmed a mock hunt for you guys from start to finish so that you can get a feel for what it's like when we use this method in the woods.
In our third video (watch here: • How to Effectively Use... ) we showed you the exact technique of how to get into the tree with our method of climbing, including another knot tying demonstration.
We highly recommend watching those videos as well.
This is a very minimalist method for mobile saddle hunters. We are showing you exactly how we climb into large trees with minimal equipment, cost and effort.
This method may not be for everyone, but think of it as another tool in your arsenal. Please watch until the end as there's a lot of information on DRT climbing technique that we believe is one of the safest, quietest, least expensive ways to climb a tree for saddle hunting. I hope you all benefit from our technique. Please like and share with others.
Please remember that climbing of any kind is inherently dangerous. The DRT climbing method has been a standard in the arbor industry for 100 years. But remember It's only safe if you do it right. Ensure your knots are tied correctly and make sure you set every knot before you get off the ground. This is our method that we use in saddle hunting, but only do what makes you comfortable and do this at your own risk.
Feel free to comment down below with your questions, We'd love to help in anyway we can.

I do DRT now thanks to you guys and I love it. Wasn’t a fan of the Blake’s. So I went with a eye to eye prusik and hitch climber and then bought a CT quick step for the days I didn’t feel like hip thrusting. With the quick step. Drt is just like srt to climb

Video idea: SRT/DRT with friction hitch and micropulley. The top tier pros seem to use friction hitch cord instead of a grigri, using knots like VT diestel prusik michocaun. SRT system: diestel friction hitch, micropulley, rope wrench, ankle foot ascender. DRT system: distel friction hitch, micropulley. I think I'm going to try this out but a little worried about the noise of the micropulley.

The CT Hand Ascender has a built in micro pulley. It’s much quieter. The brake on the Gri Gri makes a bit of noise . You can quiet it down with some stealth strip. There are many applications for SRT. And many different hitches. We chose this one for simplicity. Good luck !!!

Awesome video, I just recently found your channel. I'm rec climber or extreme hamocking. But I'm interested in saddle hunting but can you rifle hunt from saddle

Sure you can no problem. Actually helps to face the tree and use the tree as a rest

In this video we had Chad in a Evolution from Aerohunter. Unfortunately they don’t make it anymore. Are mainstay is the Kestrel Flex also from Aerohunter. We are expecting the newest design any day now which is called the Merlin. From what I have seen and read. It’s the most comfortable and adjustable saddle on the market today. Keep an eye out for it. We’ll be debuting it here as soon as we get our hands on it.
      Thanks Joseph

**Grinning to self**. At 9:30 as he was pulling the rope down, I was thinking ,"What about the paracord loop?". Oops!

Does Wespur have all the parts of the SRT kit in stock now? I know earlier they were back ordered on some items and were offering substitutes.

Paul I'm not sure but I know the CT quick roll the company was temporarily shut down but as I understand it they are back to work so if they are still out of stock I'd assume they should be back in stock soon
