the 35 thumbs down are people who have not read or know the whole story, There are other Elephants there. He is in this area to get used to his new environment. He has lots of acres to roam on. Paws will not take a locked-up animal and lock them up again.
@@lass-inangeles7564 Haha, I totally missed that. I do know how the difference so not sure why I did but thanks for pointing it out, happily corrected it now!!!!
So happy for Prince that he finally gets to live like his ancestors, free to swim, sleep in the shade, eat to his heart's content, but have a cozy, safe place to bed down at night. And, next in importance, caregivers who love and protect him. Thank you!
@@raedarden9830 so why is it that most of the elephants removed from circuses die within a few months because they are lonely and don't know what's going on? I've seen many stories where the circus owners come back to visit the elephants because they love them so much and it is quite traumatic for both the humans and the elephant when they have to depart again. it's extremely cruel and so often done without any evidence of cruelty just stereotypes which I think is disgusting
@@James-kv6kb You're asking me?? Well, I guess because they are often old; many have been mistreated and/or abused; many are malnourished...often because the owner cannot afford to feed them; many are ill and/or injured before there is an intervention, for starters. I've had the opportunity to observe children in foster care. They still love and miss their bio mammas even though they were neglected, abandoned and/or abused by them. Even though the children are physically and emotionally better off in a new, loving and caring home they still long for what was...even if it was NOT good. "An elephant never forgets" is so true...Humans and elephants seem to share many emotions regarding loving, family and loss. Absolutely amazingly so. I appreciate your question. And I understand that sometimes an elephant may be "rescued" without sufficient cause. But an elephant which is raised in captivity and rescued from harmful or dangerous situations cannot just be dropped into a "wild" setting and be expected to survive. Established wild herds cannot be counted on to accept "strangers" into their hierarchy and most times won't. A lone, previously captive elephant is defenseless in the wild without the protection and cooperation of a herd. Some foundations spend years of rehabilitation and extremely calculated integration of a rescued elephant into an established herd, but I haven't seen them turn the beautiful giants loose in the wild. It would be wonderful if no elephant were ever in captivity. We can hope and pray for it, but as of now, it's not reality. They are such amazing creatures. I understand how you feel.
OK now we're getting somewhere so this group believes that animals should not be in the circus so they lie to public officials they get their own people to go in and hurt the animals and film it and take that to court which is exactly what happened recently
This is a circus elephant it would be used to do lots of thing's every day not just waiding around in water this is the crulest thing to do to an animal that's used to traveling guarantee this poor creature will be dead with in a year
Once Prince turns around you can see the happiness in his eyes...he actually looks like he is smiling. Pat, Ed & all the helpers at PAWS, GOOD KARMA!! Thank you!!!
It must be heaven for him to be in that pool, surrounded by the trees, wind, a gorgeous view and the sounds of elephants near by. Prince, you are indeed a prince, and finally you will be treated like the Prince you are. Thank you PAWS.
I can't say it better than Mary. So, I will quote her. "God, please bless ALL of the people that are rescuing and taking care of these beautiful and precious creatures! They are MAGNIFICENT! Thank You! ❤🙏✌" Keep up the amazing job you're doing. Animals have souls and deserve compassion and repect - which you are giving to them. You are real heros to these wonderful creatures. It doesn't really get much better than this. Thank you so much.
God knows and quides the people who go through hours of fighting for endangered animals' lives. You are appreciated. A 😢product of your caring for the helpless animals. Thank you!!!
Thank you, thank you all, for rescuing these precious animals!!! Brings tears to my eyes watching Prince enjoying his pool. It's so wonderful to see how happy he is!! I've rescued my whole life, poor dogs and cats and birds. I paid all their vet bills, gave them lots of love and kept every one. I've seen horrible things. Some were with me for only a short time, others for many years. But they knew love for the first time in their lives. Again, I thank you all, for your work and rescues of these wonderful animals.
It is great to see Prince enjoying his pool, it would also be lovely to see him swimming in a river or a lake, with vegetation and nature all around him.
They have several acres of nature for the elephants. This is just an area to acclimate and calm down, they have to be careful when introducing a new elephant to the herd.
I have watched this video many times because I love seeing the elephants enjoy life as they should be. God bless the people that have made this possible
Most of these animals don't know free wild life but they know cruelity. They also understand kindness and care of good people. They do have the capacity to enjoy, so should.... must be given enjoyment as part of their life in captivity ... a swim, company of others .... room to move .... some treat food.
By watching these beautiful creatures this shows me there are good people in this world, who are devoting their time helping these elephants. Thank you.
I really don’t understand why we do so much evil when we could be doing something beautiful and amazing like this ♥️ Thankyou for rescuing him and GOD BLESS 🌺
Glad to see Prince enjoying his new place. A place with choices, respect, love, adequate food and healthy conditions. Idk Prince’s story but I bet this is his best life ❤
Magnificent work by PAWS. So proud to live in CA! Thank you for your hard work! I cannot believe Portland Zoo sold this elephant to a circus. Disgraceful!

100% agree. Well said!
fyi - roam, not Rome.
Roam means to wander free
Rome is the capital of Italy.
