    Juvenile peregrine falcon? What a treat!
    edit - scratch that; peregrine falcons are alot larger. Will go with your guess of sparrowhawk

    I'd guess a Sparrowhawk. They have super-fabulous eyesight and are very hardy birds.

      I've just looked at it again, tried to increase the magnification but it doesn't help with clarity, the male has a grey/blue back and a rusty colour on the breast, when this bird finally takes off there is a orange colour on the breast
