What if I'm lazy and throw apple pieces into a blender? I preserved a lot of apples this way last year. It's not jam, is brown, but tastes nice on porridge or with cream. The skins should give more pectin. In Soviet Russia you wouldn't have an apple corer for 5 picture perfect supermarket apples.
@@NastassjaCanCook .. nice.. I used to eat those back in Moscow... my mom's patients used to make all sorts of pirozhki for us... with jam, cabbage, meat, eggs. you name it ;)

Do you have a Plum jam or jelly recipe?
Great! I am glad you enjoyed it😊
Not yet, but planning on posting it.
How long days it will be good in the jar?
Keep it in the fridge and it will be good for 1 year.😊
How long it will be good?
If you keep it in the fridge, it would be good for 6 months.
How many jars does this batch make?
3 16oz maison jars.
Can it be made sugar-free for diabetics?
I have not tried it, but I am sure you can use alternative sweetners for this recipe. It will probably change texture.
@@NastassjaCanCook also can I use a potato masher or should I use a blender then pour back into the pot?
How about adding cinnamon?
I'm not a big fan of cinnamon, but you certainly can try. 👍😊
Can this be canned in a mason jar?
Absolutely 💯
Thnx a ton!

Would you have a blender in Soviet Russia?
I think that for people that don't have that peeling device, just simply peeling and then cutting it would be easier than buying that.
I just happened to have one. You can simply peel the apples without using any special device 😉🌹
you're amazing !!!
