Excellent tour of Oceania Riviera! We sailed on her twice in 2023 and we can't wait to return. Excellent food and service, and the redesigned cabins are stunning.
Just returned from a 10-day Oceania Riviera cruise sailing from Rome to Barcelona. Sadly, the lobster sandwiches were not available at the Waves Grill and the gelato was sub-par. Dinners were also hit or miss. My expectations were high for the food quality but sadly this wasn't the case here, could be much better, but overall the cruise was very good. Ports of call are what caught our eye for this cruise and at least two sea days or an additional overnight at port are much needed on a 10 day cruise.
One Question Danny. I saw your video dropped yesterday on the Riviera Oceania Suite. It looked renovated. Was it with renovated with the other staterooms or was it the same? My questions core is was the Vista Suite on the Riviera recently renovated or was it done in Dry Dock three years ago. Thank you in advance for your answer.
i looked at thier world cruise. would love it. but i hear oceanaia is mostly made up of couples. i would be single?? would i feel out of place??? and i know there is usually a large single supplement
We've cruised twice on Oceania Riviera. In my opinion, it might be just fine for a single cruiser on a 1 or 2 week itinerary, but I would imagine feeling isolated on a longer cruise. But that's just me. The itineraries are port intensive, so many excursions fill a good portion of the day. On rare sea days you have extra activities plus destination lectures and the excellent library, as well as afternoon tea.
The public spaces appear to have been renovated at an earlier date. Notice seat upholstery looking worn in some areas. Not as crisp as cabins you showed. Color schemes not consistent with new cabins decor, look like old cabins.
The extensive refurbishment in late 2022 focused mostly on the cabins (including stunning updates to the bathrooms). In the public spaces much of the carpeting was replaced but public seating may not have been replaced or reupholstered. In my opinion, the public spaces looked amazing with the exception of the wallpaper on the decks with the staterooms. I think the 3 week drydock wasn't enough time to address the bubbled and peeling wallpaper. Hopefully this has been addressed since then.
