This is probably the best ship tour video I've seen so far. All you need are simple, slow pans and the occasional zooming in on food and drink. And I've never heard a bathroom, let alone a room described so beautifully. I'll admit, I usually skip over those parts but the way you described it... "the vanity features sleek, gray drawers providing a sophisticated storage solution. Above the vanity, an LED lit mirror adds a touch of contemporary flair while providing an excellent source of illumination." I'm in real estate and I know some realtors that don't even describe homes the way you detailed this ship. Well done.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the video and our unique descriptions. It means a lot to know that someone with your background in real estate appreciates the detail we put into our tours. We hope you have an amazing experience on your first Oceania Cruise! Safe travels, and thanks again for the support!
We sailed on Oceania Riviera twice in 2023. Once with a Penthouse suite and also with a Concierge Veranda stateroom. Our experience with Oceania has spoiled us, which makes it hard to cruise with any other cruiseline. No lines, no nickel and dime pricing, and the best food ever! We have 3 upcoming Oceania cruises in the next 18 months (Marina, Vista, and Allura). What a wonderful way to explore the world. Can't wait.
I completely agree! Once you go with Oceania, it's really difficult to go with any other cruise line. Your upcoming cruises sound amazing! I am excited you get to go on the new ships! You will have to report back how they are :)
Thank you!! Was the Vista as beautiful as it looks in the brochures? I would love to take a cruise on one of the new ships someday! They look so elegant.
We stayed in 11055 on this cruise and our previous one. It's below the pool deck, but we didn't find it loud above us accept occasionally when they were moving around lounge chairs to clean. Overall the suite is very sound proof and was actually much quieter than the Oceania Suite. The Oceania suite squeaked a lot and overall was noisier when coming into or leaving port. At night our room was very quiet and barely made a sound even when the sea was choppier. No hallway noise at all. I will suggest that a sound machine is a great thing to pack and always helps us sleep wherever we are. They make ones that are very small and easy to travel with.
Am I the only person who absolutely hates a grey color palette? It is so cold and sterile compared to the rich colors in the cabins before. 😖 Oh well, I hope the cruise experience will help me to not notice it so much.
I can agree that a grey color palette is not my favorite. We were pleasantly surprised how nice the Penthouse suite looked in-person vs. in photos. It didn't feel sterile or boring. A few honest notes: not a fan of the velvet green couch as it was super uncomfortable, I miss the tubs, but the new shower is better than the previous smaller one, and we disliked the stools at the end of the bed as they weren't comfortable or all that useful (the table and chairs were better there so we could eat and watch TV if we wanted to). We did like more storage in the cabinets, the lighter closet, and the blue light in the bathroom for night time use. Thankfully the bed was just as comfortable! Any changes they made in the Oceania Suite were not positive ones. The previous fabrics were far better. Overall the ship feels very much the same as before since they didn't do the full renovation. The few places the new lighter decor really shows up are in baristas, the concierge level lounge, and Horizons. Everything else either blends in or hasn't changed.
In my opinon pre-reno cabins where much nicer. The new decor is not quality, we found the drawer handles were broken and the drawers did not close properly. The old decor was more warm and comforting.
@@genelleandmike Thank you. Lovely video and good information. We’ll doing a TA on Marina in Nov 24 and we understand the Marina PH was refurbished earlier this year. I will miss the bathtub too.
To say that this ship is for "snobs" is kind of rude. I've been on various lines... Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and I'm excited to book Oceania for next year 2025 especially after this video. I will say that this is DEFINITELY a different demographic. This is probably not for first time cruisers (unless they're affluent and used to such delicacies) or families with small children. Oceania doesn't have any children's programs except on the itinerary that goes to Alaska. The ships don't have water slides or arcades so if children are onboard, they would need to be well-behaved and able to entertain themselves (ex. with a tablet and headphones or in the library). My daughter is almost 18 and has always wanted to go to Korea since she taught herself the language and has a fascination for K-Pop and K dramas among other things. I'm thinking of looking into an Asian cruise as a graduation gift for next year and since she's my only child and she's pretty sophisticated and well-behaved, I don't think this would be a terrible option. Good luck Nirs. If you're looking for a cruise for "regular people" (perhaps you meant something more affordable), you may want to look into one of the other "mass market" lines.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! We understand that everyone has different preferences when it comes to travel experiences. We aim to showcase the diverse offerings of the ship. There’s a lot to explore out there, and we hope you find a style of cruising that suits you better. Also, I can assure you we are neither rich nor old.

@@genelleandmike Will do. Our cruise on Oceania Vista is a 16 day Panama canal cruise from Los Angeles to Miami.
@@DaveM-FFB That sounds like a great cruise!!
Great video! We travel on the Riviera in September in a penthouse suite. I hope your channel grows nicely. You do a great job.
Thank you very much!! We hope you have a wonderful cruise in September!
Great review! We just sailed on the new Vista, and previously on the Riviera prior to renovation. We love Oceania for all the reasons your mentioned!

Yes, @@genelleandmike it was gorgeous. We stayed in a Penhouse, and it was amazing! Have 2 more cruises booked, also in penthouse.
@@daleniehaus4309 That's great! The Penthouse suite really is idyllic.

Thank you very much! We love Oceania too!
Great video! Very informative looking forward to seeing more of your cruise.
Thank you!! We appreciate the feedback :)
Does this refurbished ship still have the espresso and coffee shop it had before? I liked the Library before, it seemed warmer and cozier.
Very Well Done Video!!!
Thank you very much for watching!!
Thank you...
Was the Suite well soundproof? We have been looking to book a suite, but because of its location, we are a little concern with noises esp at night.

I’d love to see a video for “regular” people.
We have plenty of videos that are not on Oceania and showcase budget travel.
no casino???
They didn't allow us to film in the casino, but yes - the casino is a great part of the ship too!

Looks like for a very rich, snob American old couples. Very boring ship.
Please. Stay away.
