On the 98-00 you have to take off the ps pully, there is a threaded hole on the pump, screw a bolt in it and use that to keep the pully from moving when you try to remove the pully

I wish there was some sort of shield to put above the alternator in case your power steering starts to leak because it leaks right on top of the alternator
This is my problem. Changed alternator 2 years ago knew I had a power steering leak and now after 2 years it wrecked this one so now I'm back 2 square one! Good luck everyone. What a pain in the ass!!
There is a video on RUclips someone pulled that damn alternator from the barn he dropped it without removing the pulley of the power steering is that things possible??
If you pull the power steering pulley and disconnect all of the wires really not long at all. Theres a set of wires with a plug as well as the main wires.

Did you disconnect the battery first before you messed with anything else? Always disconnect battery first before anything else
