I love this feature and have been using it often. It is interesting to see how often the most accurate models change around. Spire and Predict wind are often the best for our area but not always. I am hoping Predict Wind will include an observation feature for the wave and swell model and also have a validation tool for that.
Can you explain what the acronym MAE is? Is this maximum average error? What forecast is used as the baseline for the comparison? For example, if we look at the 7-day, is the MAE calculated based on the forecast on Day 1 for all 7 days looking ahead? Or is the MAE calculated based on the forecast 24 hours before Day 1 for all 7 days looking ahead?
