Watching you guys sailing makes me feel like I’m there. Makes me happy, but also sad not having a father like you guys have or a family like yours. God Bless you all
Keith! You are the only class act on youtube doing a sailing show. You, Sir, have self respect. You do not have a Patreon like some people. They are asking for $250 for a one on one chat. I have a hard time giving someone money who has a Catamaran, no pun intended. I enjoy your channel for what is- a show. I will certainly buy a ticket at some point. God bless you all and be safe.
Renee, Our doctor said that we need to drink ginger prior to sailing will stop sea sickness. Wanted to ask if you have tried this. He said just slice the ginger thin and boil, pour over ice and refrigerate one day prior to use. We haven’t tried this yet, but will. Hope this will help. Be safe!
I subbed a few months ago because of you. You were showing your boat and just talking about your day to day life. I find it fun and educational. You have a great personality. I travel in an RV for now but maybe one day I would love to get a sailboat
Good question about the tank. At our local church, around Father's Day (not this year) they had a bbq. I don't know how, but the tank blew and someone at the bbq died at this thing. We weren't there but couldn't believe what we had heard. So we've gotten rid of our grill ever since then.
Love your sense of humor. So many comedians out of work but luckily here comes one more (not out of work). It is always enjoyable to watch another episode (even if it is a repeat of previous vlogs). Also, love your honesty and not being afraid to voice your opinion. Right or wrong.
I enjoy Q&A listening to Keith. He is witty and appears to be very honest and I tend to believe what the man says. We will soon celebrate our 60th and we know that Keith and Renee understand that life “can” be hard and its up the parents to lead by example and I wager their children will turn out well.
Love your video's even the Q&A vids, learned a lot from it. Keep up the great work, stay safe out there and have fun enjoying the islands. Cheers Timeon Murdoch Kiribati.
I have to say I was about to bash this video and then I listened to the last comment about boredom......I love the honesty about it being the worst thing about your experiences. I and everyone watches a lot of content and it's nice that you were honest and that's why I look forward to your videos every Thursday.
We will be leaving in five years to live aboard with our family. I wish we could be out there with you guys now. I have a feeling our families would get along well. Keep being true to yourselves! We love watching your journey.
Wow my friend. I just came across your video being spoken about in a FB chat room. I heard the words ... and... So since I didn't want this comment blocked, I looked you up. Dude I love what you said. I hate sand too. Boat dive over beach dives (Yeah I am speaking to you my California friends. I hate shore dives). Lots of great info on this page. I picked this one for predict wind but really like it all. Just subscribed. Thanks so much!

This was a great one.....oh & a nice pair of OLD MAN GLASSES TOO & What about when you were asked who the best Sailer was....l reckon she could of done herself some damage popping her head up so quick to answer that one....way too funny.... I'm also going to have to have some therapy for that Vision about the sand... Well done....cheers
Thank you for this kind of episodes, Im planning on buying a sailboat and travel around the world. But I have no experience whatsoever on how to sail or how to use and read correctly all of the instruments that come along. I really appreciate these episodes and would be very much thankful if you could draw more lights to the technical aspects of actually sailing and operating a sailboat. I wish you and your family in this journey joy and happinesses Greetings from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦
I totally agree with you about sandy beaches. Just another example of how Hollywood tricks is. 🤣😂 seriously though started watching several episodes of your show this morning. I have a surf boat in Kemah (clear lake) named Pura Vida. If y’all ever come down here would love to meet y’all on the water.
Hey crew of the Zatara, just want to let you all know, the Meeks family has truly enjoyed your videos. Nice work, your truly living the dream. Question, I am researching the process of buying a sailboat and I have seen a number of videos about insurance and having to hire a captain for a year, if you don't have any experience. Can you discuss how you located insurance and requirements and steps you had to go though to get insurance. Keep up the great videos and be safe. Derrell
Everyone on Zatara could make a playlist of music, books, movies , etc. that would be fun to know. Who likes what. Y’all seem to have good taste in music and movies.
Hi Keith, would like to see your episode on installing flexible solar panels but cannot find it; please advise which episode. Love your adventures, Glenn, Brisbane Australia
My deepest appreciation for you and your families sharing this incredible experience with all of us, through your adventures I have vicariously explored these exotic places in far flung oceans along with you guys. I would like to submit a query for you' do you have any manner of sea-anchor be it a series-drogue, drift-sock or para-anchor to arrest or mitigate dangerous drifting or provide braking in following seas? or have you experienced any sea states or oceanic conditions that would warrant use?
Just found upon your channel. I love it! Being in Indiana and having 4 boys of my own, you are sharing great content I'm interested in. Have you ever thought of exploring the CNMI? Being a US commonwealth should make entry easy and be great for exploring and history.
Keith, outstanding response to the moral question. I can see where the environment you all live in forces you to address issues, where on land people would and can walk away. This was something I had not considered and appreciated your honest answer. 👍
For night watch on passage, you can attach a gps beacon to bfd. I don't endorse this product. One like this might be good to have attached to bfd for person on night watch. If you get something like this please let me know what you get. I'm looking for something to use as emergency beacon on a life vest.
There was growing interest among international boat owners to use the Pacific in the lead-up to next year's America's Cup in New Zealand. The Fiji government said the Renegade, which sailed from New Zealand, had two people onboard and it was expecting the arrival of 100 more boats, -. Keith - LOVE you guys and your show. I tune in every week. Judie and I are dreaming of selling the house and setting off on our own adventure. I host a podcast about fatherhood called FathersFyre. I would LOVE to have you as a guest. Maybe challenging with you on the seas but it would be a real honor for me if we could arrange it. Happy Sailing!
Been enjoying your program very much! Especially when you got the new rig in Greece. What type of wifi connection do you have? Satellite? Are you always able to connect?
OK - Good show - @32:56 you talk about rejuvenation. With Covid 19 and all the quarantining, lockdown time; how has that affected your outlook? I've been watching Jason and Nikki, Nanji, SSL, etc and just wondering your take on it. We're isolating in southern Texas - a little more freedom but...... not much. Puttering with the solar, on the truck and trailer (and watching all your guys RUclipss. Fair winds and following seas, may your passages be smooth. Bill
If I were to start in the Gulf of Mexico or Caribbean Sea and wanted to get to Fiji and Australia by boat and travel time and stops weren't a factor, what route would you recommend for a scuba couple with children? My wife and I are considering taking up the cruiser lifestyle in a few years (finances permitting) and are thinking we would probably spend a year or so around the Caribbean but might want to try a circumnavigation or just a trip to Australia and the South Pacific at some point.
Hey Z crew, I have a question for mainly Keith or Renee-- how does living on a boat effect your federal income taxes while living abroad as a US citizen? I'm under the impression any income produced out of the US is still subject to federal tax.. Do capital gains come into play even when living in another country too? Wondering best way to save/ retire smart to fulfill cruising dream. All the best-- Will

Looking up in the stars I’ve seen the space station countless times. It looks like a star but moves like a plane only a lot faster. Could easily be mistaken for a UFO. You’re not looking hard enough. Amazing is the night sky. It’s full of the unknown, the past and the future.
I realize that your focus is on sailing but have you ever considered doing a blog on flying. Your experience could be helpful for those who are just getting involved in becoming a pilot or those who are already.
While going after lobster I noticed some LIONFISH, are the kid's all aware of what poisonous sealife is in their diving area..?? And can you use spear guns...
Keith your "snappy wit" is killing me🤣. You know some people get offended when you step on bugs. So with regards to how to end the lives of the fish you catch, just show us (camera) the fish then cut/edit. Don't show how you kill it. I fish, I just toss them in the fish bag. If I don't want fish blood all over, I slice it through the gill, let it bleed out for a few seconds, then into the container with you. You all stay safe. P.S. I hate to ask this, When Zuko was there, was it MANDATORY to quarantine him at ports even if you stated that he was not going ashore? What if you didn't mention that there was a kitty?

Killing and preserve a fish in the same time. Cut the throat with a knife so major blod vessel are cut. Now the head is just hanging by its neck muscle. Break head back so the nose meat the back on the fish, 180 degree. Done. Reason to cut blod vessel is to make it easier for the blod to leave the muscle tissue. This preserve the quality of the food.
I really like Keith. I don't get all the 'woman hater' nonsense, its really obvious that he loves his wife and daughers and is just fooling around. He's awesome. Keith fan club anybody? :D
Hey Kieth, a comment about your video at 25:48 ... locations where they wash eggs before sale necessitate them being refrigerated. If the eggs are fresh from the chicken and unwashed, the eggs have a natural barrier and do not need to be refrigerated. Reference this article: www.latimes.com/food/dailydish/la-dd-heres-why-we-need-to-refrigerate-eggs-20140714-story.html Thank you for all of your videos! (by the way...what make and model is that yellow electric scooter you have with the great front suspension and big tires? Where did you buy it and/or where can I get one?)
keith When are we going to see you in your Thong in the water doing water ballet 🩰 !!!!! 🤣 And by the way what’s the deal with the Boonie hats Did you talk to that Company that I emailed you out in California ??? Was just curious of your results. Love the show stay safe out there !!!

Is there a new channels ? Coz I noticed that it's now more on q&a. Need to see the more (other then q&a) pls😁
This is all explained at the beginning of this episode: ruclips.net/video/R9gl208cNSs/видео.html
When they don't have internet it post old Q&A.
Great Answers 😂😂😂🥰
You should take a trip to Lofoten =) Beautiful, but ops ops very expensive.
Question for Keith: maybe you guys answered this already, maybe you wouldn’t want to answer it (I totally get it), but do you guys carry firearms on board? If so, does that present any issues as you travel in and out of different territorial waters? Very interested in the answer. Love you guys, stay safe!
do you guys drive in the fog? and what precautions do you take if you do?
If you would use dielectric grease on your connectors it would prevent the corrosion!
I feel like I'm on the journey to. Thank you for doing this guy's. One question ? How long do you plan on doing this?
Love the vids, you guys have inspired me to do the same when I'm old enough to sail the world by myself or with someone
if you are an adult, you are old enough.
Still playing catch-up. 👍
My question is How do you know how to get wherever you want to be. Its not like there are traffic signs.
We need a new episode! :). You’ve been in Fiji for 2 weeks.
Rick Grover they are prob in prison for flouting immigration laws.
Looking up in the stars I’ve seen the space station countless times. It looks like a star but moves like a plane only a lot faster. Could easily be mistaken for a UFO. You’re not looking hard enough. Amazing is the night sky. It’s full of the unknown, the past and the future.
Looking forward to when you’re near strong wifi and able to upload new content. Hope all is well with the Z-crew! Blessings!
I'm loving your Q & A's Keith! I will be so glad when you get out on water headed to your next destination!
Actually they have sailed from New Zealand up to Fiji. And they are hanging out in Fiji right now.
Q&A...? Nothing else? Oki, signing off.
When are you set to go?
Submerge an egg in cold water, on its side = fresh, stands up on its fat end = on the turn, float = bad.
Keep well crew...
Best!😁
I realize that your focus is on sailing but have you ever considered doing a blog on flying. Your experience could be helpful for those who are just getting involved in becoming a pilot or those who are already.
When are the other vids coming back
Next week!! New episode next Thurs and continuing with Teen Tuesdays as well.

One more thing I want to ask. How accurate is the forecast from Predict wind?
Great stuff. And take care, I hear that Japanese whaling fleet is indiscriminate when aiming their harpoons...
Love sailing wish i can go sailling.

I really like Keith. I don't get all the 'woman hater' nonsense, its really obvious that he loves his wife and daughers and is just fooling around. He's awesome. Keith fan club anybody? :D
Are you (Keith) related to the referee in the street beef videos?
Since you like scify. "Children of time" is worth a read of you haven't already. I thought it was brilliant.
Pelican everything.
I hope all is well out there. I'll hopefully sea you on the water. I'm convincing my family we need to live on the sea.
The side fin right behind it theres an artery, take a short knife stab there they will bleed out
