@@paulettemann4107 That was the man’s wife, who has died. He brought along her picture so that she would be with him and their dear friends in spirit. She had been part of the group when they did that ride so many years ago, when all of them were much younger. This ride was in memory of that long-ago ride, when they had so much fun.

God, this ad had me in tears... I'm 64 and literally spent my entire working life in Taiwan working for the bicycle industry, but never lived there. I grew up on two wheels and in the early 80s I was in the top three in 400cc production road racing my Yamaha RD-400. Just the other day I was thinking of fixing my Year One Mazda Miyata, but after I saw this ad, I'm going to sell it and get me a vintage Yamaha RD-400 and do what I always used to do, !!.. The only way to ride. I’d like to get another Bultaco Metralla and go for it but I’m chicken so just have an emtb . Did a 400k ride thru Tasmania last year with 6 friends youngest 60 oldest 83 had a few cool drinks and a lot of fun.
Hey! I had an RD400, is was the best “sleeper” ever! In tight corners, and short drags, I would wax a later Honda Interceptor 600 easily. Sneaky little thing, could smack you in the mouth, with the speedometer, if you twisted the throttle too fast
Even with adjusting for modern day values, a RD400 will cost you more now than when new. I am a bit younger, so my first love was an RD350LC. What I would do to ride one again.

RD Yammies ripped. I have ridden some when younger. Of course two stroked all were fast as we all remember the Kawasaki triples prior to the RD twp strokes.

I am 61 years old, and still riding my Triumph Thunderbird 900 every day, in all weather. Sunshine, Rain, Snow, it's all the same to me. Three years ago i was off the road for two months, and i actually had withdrawal symptoms like a drug addict. I had cold sweats, was shaking like a leaf, and had terrible mood swings (a real grumpy old git). I was not a nice person to be with. As soon as i got back on my bike it all went away, and i was back to being the happy smiling biker that everyone loves. Please ride safe, and always wear full protective gear no matter how hot it is. Remember at the end of your ride, you can take your gear off, but you can not put new skin on. Happy riding friends. Edited 25/05/2021: Quick update. I wrote that about a month before my 62nd birthday. I am 65 now (April 1956) still ridding every day. Thank you all for your amazing comments, i never expected anything like this.

I turn 76 next month. Have owned a plane (1967 Cessna 150) for 21 years. Not as much fun as motorcycling Hawaii's mountain roads. Back on the mainland, in 1970, I got me a Benelli 250. Finally was so disgusted with the Benelli that I gave it away, and let my MC license lapse. Now I'm cruising mc vids, and observing that here in December there lots of good deals on bikes out there...

As a motorcyclist all my life this is the greatest commercial ever! As a combat veteran I am not ashamed to say I shed a tear when I see this! These deserves a documentary, not just a commercial.
It is based on a real documentary about a group of senior citizens attempting to make a round trip of Taiwan on motorcycles, one of the most amazing part of the real story is that there are WW2 veterans from both side (imperial Japanese Navy and Chinese Army) riding together.
First off, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!!! You have no idea how much respect I have for veterans, and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. I'm not a veteran, but like you this brought a tear to me too. I've been considering buying a bike for a few years, now I think I have to. It'll be my retirement gift to me.
I'm only 21, but I understand this completely. Seriously felt butterflies watching this. I hope I will live to ride as long as these guys and the rest of you in the comments! It's not just a hobby, It's our life!

It can be, and it is; to some of my closest friends. And on a continuum, it has been to me from time to time, but more accurately I would say that it is a metaphor of life and a lens by which we can look into the meaning of life
You may only be 21, but if you love to ride you and I are cut from the same cloth. Be safe out there, far too many of our brothers and sisters on bikes are getting hurt. No longer can we pretend a good rider is comfortable doing stupid stuff. We need to change that conversation so that a good rider is actually a safe rider.
I'm in my late 50's and I'm getting ready to take the MSF course this month. I've never risen a motorcycle. And this commercial made me laugh while bringing a tear to my eye. I've been dealing with depression and I'm hoping that I pass and get my motorcycle license will help me start to live again. Great commercial. Wish me luck. Ride safe everyone.

I am 70 and still ride. Started at 16 and I am now on a VTX 1300 tourer and getting ready for my summer ride. Ride forever, never sell your motorcycle.
LOL Great Motto! I thought it would hurt my lower back, at that degenerated L5 disc. Hell; I think it actually feels better when I ride. But the mental rush is the main positive thing. I love my gasoline bikes but I really hope to get an electric some day.
As a motorcyclist for the last 41 years, this made me cry. Aside from flying this is probably the last form of feeling free that you can have a chance to experience.

This had me in tears. Lost my partner of 35 years to cancer 3 months ago. 2 weeks later I bought a motorbike, the first one i had ridden in over 20 years. I f**king love that thing. And then I find out this is an advert for a bank?? Please tell me these old geezers are real, they are my new heroes.

My guess is that that bank paid for the making of this video, no matter how stellar it is in evoking how we feel. Ergo, roots of commercialism, tree and branch the same. It does not denigrate the content, providing you accept the premise that ALL human systems need reward, for positive and productive work. And this is both. Thanks for the reply.
@@fallinginthed33p My first impression in answer to you would be "Does it matter ?" But on second thought its time for an Oldclimber lecture here, snark, snark. The men depicted in that video where most assuredly all hard workers at relationships with other people, including within their group. That is something that is lost on most of the present generation, who view everything through "fun" glasses, and imagine that fun is the end goal of everything in life. They are wrong of course. A life of meaning is the goal of everything in life, and these men pushed past their physical obstacles, sometimes fell victim to them, and shared the meaning and work in just being together as friends. Though in the Western Christian tradition God comes first, He stated that "... as you do unto the least, so you do unto Me ..." or something very like that. And that includes everybody else.

Without a doubt the greatest commercial I have ever seen. I've been riding since I was 17, and I am 66 now. I still ride dirt bikes, and my grandson rides with me. I'll never quit as long as I can still draw breath. These guys were inspirational.

Yep - tear in the eye. I'm 74 and have survived numerous illnesses and setbacks - on two wheels every day and never disappointed. But not everybody understands this - they just don't get it. I think we bikers are a fortunate breed indeed

We were a motorcycle family. My father rode off-road motorcycles and bought them for us when we were kids. My father, mother, brother, and I rode all over Southern California and northern Mexico and watched On Any Sunday together. Years later, my wife is Taiwanese, so I have been to the island. I've had a fantasy about doing a complete tour of the country not on a motorcycle but on one the scooters that everyone rides in Taipei. I want to move to Taiwan just so I can have one of those scooters. I'll turn 60 this year, and both of my parents are still alive, but I know, one day soon, I'll have to face their deaths. Once that happens, maybe I can commemorate their lives and relive those happy years by finally making that tour of Taiwan with my wife on our scooters.

I lost my wife of 23 years in Feb 2013 after a long illness. I moped around in a funk for more than two years before I decided I couldn't live like that anymore. I finally decided some wind therapy might be good for me but the old Triumph Bonneville I had had been pretty well destroyed in Hurricane Andrew in 92. It was in a thousand pieces in my garage. So, I went down to the local Harley dealer and bought myself a brand new Heritage Softail. It has done wonders for my attitude!
I lost my love one for 34 years 4 month ago due to ALS, when we first meet I have a HD Softail Custom it was long ago bike is gone, 1 days before she die I get a HD Deuce from a neighbor whom never ride it, for $3500 with 7500 miles in it. Bike been seat in my garage for pass 4 months . Today this commercial is Light the fire in me one more time. 🙏🙏🤍🤍

This motorcycle video is the best I’ve ever seen, truly inspirational! I’m 68 and I still ride my black 1974 MZ TS-250 (250cc) motorcycle, but not as often as I used to. When I ride my bike is like going through a “time warp” and the feeling of freedom and independence is indescribable, I feel young again. Like in the western movies, as the cowboy rides into the sunset… So do I!

I’m 82. On April 21, 2021 I was rear ended on my HD Tri-Glide and it was totaled. Now I’m looking for a Road King with sidecar. Going anywhere in a car is flat. Going down to the corner on a motorcycle is an adventure.

Great message but.... easy to say, hard to do. Everyday I tell myself, "go enjoy life, you're wasting your life away", but the problem...we have bills to pay, mouth to feed. If I was a millionaires, yeah... I don't have to work 9 to 5 everyday and just enjoy life every minute/seconds. But when you got mortgage payment, cars payment and medical payment, it's very difficult to enjoy life.

I am crying so heart warming ,WONDERFULL.I have just turned 76 and I still dream, live, and love my family.They have after some moving back in with me realised I have good ideas, am smart,and now re- respecting me.Age does not mean you to be ignored and bullied around ...as I still have many things to do in life .The body maybe ailing but the mind is still you and going strong.
For those of us who bought a motorcycle when life sucked as much as one hopes it ever sucks and it was the highlight of every damn day... This was pretty powerful. I hope I'm still riding when I'm 80.

About five years ago, a group of elderly Taiwanese motorcyclists and scooter riders toured the USA and stopped in my hometown. They were truly amazing people! Though we couldn't communicate well with words, their smiles and laughter said it all. FANTASTIC! 🇹🇼❤️🇺🇸

I cried throughout this entire vid. First was tears of sorrow. Then it was tears of joy. These men have made real friends; and what a gift for one another. They will take these memories of these friends with them into the next life.
I'm not 80 yet, but I can see it from here. When I was young, I used to think nothing about a 1000 kilometer ride. Now, even though my feet are exactly where they've always been, I think twice about putting on my riding gear. Last year I meet a fellow who looked about 70, riding from Texas across Canada. But here's the kicker . . . the fellow riding the other bike was his father! Long may we ride . . .

That commercial was touching. Like the old man in the commercial who opened his garage to look at his motorcycle, I looked out the window into my backyard at my old Ninja... Riding on a motorcycle is like accessing the fountain of youth!
hi guys and gals, that's exactly how I feel now, I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have my motorbike. I'm 61, with arthritis and metal joints and other illnesses. if I didn't have my bike, I'd probably just curl up in a corner and give up. 😀 👍 👍 👍 👍

Absolutely fantastic !!!! When a group of friends looses one of it's members they suddenly realise "Now is the time for living" Lets ride" Despite their ailments they have a goal to fulfil and relive their dreams once again. They even took a picture of their missing comrade with them so he wouldn't be left behind, total respect here. I have never seen anything as truely awesome as this. As a bike rider since I was 15 I was in tears when I saw this. I will share this with as many as I can. I'm in my 60's now and I ride whenever and wherever I can. The sentiments expressed demonstrate the true motorcycling brotherhood that all riders belong to worldwide . 👍👍👍

Get a life.. Live it. The earth will do well without you, or me. BTW, you know when you die, you will largely become one small insignificant carbon emission yourself.
I gave up 30 years ago and put my CX400 into the shed for "One day when we can afford to ride again" I am now halfway towards its completion and about to push the start button for only the second time in 30 years.... the last was about 15 years ago.... so, when I saw this it resonated really big. I vowed to never not own a motorcycle even if the one I owned was not running, I am now so inspired to keep restoring this and the summer of 2023 will be my first full return to biking in 30 years (I am 58). I laughed when I saw them "getting fit" as I started with nightly sit ups...lol I am a bit behind on those... I live in the Manawatu in New Zealand another beautiful country with many scenic parts to see. My father road his A50 all the way down the South Island and wrote a diary about this. The same bike I snuck out of the shed and learnt to ride on when I was 15. Mum had fits... It became my first bike ever after he gave it to me. I hope to re-read his adventures and maybe take my bike on the exact same adventure that he did.....perhaps I should start a you tube channel and document it...anyone else in NZ in the same boat? maybe we could start an " old farts" biker group,...lol
From a kiwi now living in Brisbane, no doubt you know the movie Red Indian about the guy from Invercargill who raced his motorbike against the Americans, who poo pooed he would never beat them .... but he did ! They keep playing this old movie regularly over here. When you get down there ..... Invercargill, they have a motorbike museum that’s fabulous to wander through and full of history. It’s a while since I went thru it so I hope it’s still there. Good luck and enjoy.

OK. I get it. I’m 77 years old and I ride a bicycle not a motor bike and it gives me a lift just like in this commercial. I feel like a teenager all over again whenever I get on my bike. It’s a great feeling!
I'm 69 and a disabled Vet. I'm still riding (50 years+). If I didn't I'd lock up and that would be that. I stopped by to watch this video again, It's inspiring. Tomorrow I go to buy a Royal Enfield Continental GT 650. It looks fun.

That is so cool! I lived in Taiwan for almost a year in the 70s, and whilst it's crowded in major cities as you'd expect, it does have quite a lot of stunning mountain and coastal areas. Nearly at the age of these adventurous gentlemen... tempting me to get a bike again. 😎🇦🇺

This is not only a advertisement, it's a real campaign. They actually rode around Taiwan, and they are doing it once a year, for several years, it became a huge group ride in Taiwan!

That was the man’s wife, who has died. He brought along her picture so that she would be with him and their dear friends in spirit. She had been part of the group when they did that ride so many years ago, when all of them were much younger. This ride was in memory of that long-ago ride, when they had so much fun.

@@nomorokayThank you. I thought perhaps he had brought her ashes with him to scatter in the sea where they had met or, gone on honeymoon or something like that but, l wasn't sure if scattering someone's ashes in a special place was the custom in Taiwan.
I am 96 now, I have been riding since I was 16.

God, this ad had me in tears... I'm 64 and literally spent my entire working life in Taiwan working for the bicycle industry, but never lived there. I grew up on two wheels and in the early 80s I was in the top three in 400cc production road racing my Yamaha RD-400. Just the other day I was thinking of fixing my Year One Mazda Miyata, but after I saw this ad, I'm going to sell it and get me a vintage Yamaha RD-400 and do what I always used to do, !!.. "RIDE FAST & TAKE CHANCES" ..!! Thank You Taiwan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only way to ride. I’d like to get another Bultaco Metralla and go for it but I’m chicken so just have an emtb . Did a 400k ride thru Tasmania last year with 6 friends youngest 60 oldest 83 had a few cool drinks and a lot of fun.
Hey! I had an RD400, is was the best “sleeper” ever! In tight corners, and short drags, I would wax a later Honda Interceptor 600 easily. Sneaky little thing, could smack you in the mouth, with the speedometer, if you twisted the throttle too fast
RD 400 great motor cycle would hold is own in 2023
Even with adjusting for modern day values, a RD400 will cost you more now than when new. I am a bit younger, so my first love was an RD350LC. What I would do to ride one again.
I loved this video. Last year was the last time I rode my motorcycle and I was 92.

The only thing one can do is to fall back on the state of mind and hold position there as the body starts to be problematic.
Loss of a friend. And loss of a dearest wife for one of them. Amongst their various ailments.
RD Yammies ripped. I have ridden some when younger.
Of course two stroked all were fast as we all remember the Kawasaki triples prior to the RD twp strokes.
This ad is NOT about motorcycles. Its about living.

I am 61 years old, and still riding my Triumph Thunderbird 900 every day, in all weather. Sunshine, Rain, Snow, it's all the same to me. Three years ago i was off the road for two months, and i actually had withdrawal symptoms like a drug addict. I had cold sweats, was shaking like a leaf, and had terrible mood swings (a real grumpy old git). I was not a nice person to be with.
As soon as i got back on my bike it all went away, and i was back to being the happy smiling biker that everyone loves.
Please ride safe, and always wear full protective gear no matter how hot it is. Remember at the end of your ride, you can take your gear off, but you can not put new skin on. Happy riding friends.
Edited 25/05/2021: Quick update. I wrote that about a month before my 62nd birthday. I am 65 now (April 1956) still ridding every day.

Man, oh, man! You, Sire E. Griffin, did it! I'm on the half of my 72 years, and we came back home yesterday from a six-countries 5500 kms trip on our new Bonnie 1200.... Congrats, ol' boy!!
I turn 76 next month. Have owned a plane (1967 Cessna 150) for 21 years. Not as much fun as motorcycling Hawaii's mountain roads. Back on the mainland, in 1970, I got me a Benelli 250. Finally was so disgusted with the Benelli that I gave it away, and let my MC license lapse. Now I'm cruising mc vids, and observing that here in December there lots of good deals on bikes out there...

I think the documentary is called 'Go Grandriders!'
As a motorcyclist all my life this is the greatest commercial ever! As a combat veteran I am not ashamed to say I shed a tear when I see this! These deserves a documentary, not just a commercial.

It is based on a real documentary about a group of senior citizens attempting to make a round trip of Taiwan on motorcycles, one of the most amazing part of the real story is that there are WW2 veterans from both side (imperial Japanese Navy and Chinese Army) riding together.

Yes, it's our life. Hope you too can enjoy it long time.
It can be, and it is; to some of my closest friends. And on a continuum, it has been to me from time to time, but more accurately I would say that it is a metaphor of life and a lens by which we can look into the meaning of life
You may only be 21, but if you love to ride you and I are cut from the same cloth. Be safe out there, far too many of our brothers and sisters on bikes are getting hurt. No longer can we pretend a good rider is comfortable doing stupid stuff. We need to change that conversation so that a good rider is actually a safe rider.
I'm in my late 50's and I'm getting ready to take the MSF course this month. I've never risen a motorcycle. And this commercial made me laugh while bringing a tear to my eye. I've been dealing with depression and I'm hoping that I pass and get my motorcycle license will help me start to live again. Great commercial. Wish me luck. Ride safe everyone.

I am 70 and still ride. Started at 16 and I am now on a VTX 1300 tourer and getting ready for my summer ride. Ride forever, never sell your motorcycle.
LOL Great Motto! I thought it would hurt my lower back, at that degenerated L5 disc. Hell; I think it actually feels better when I ride. But the mental rush is the main positive thing. I love my gasoline bikes but I really hope to get an electric some day.
As a motorcyclist for the last 41 years, this made me cry. Aside from flying this is probably the last form of feeling free that you can have a chance to experience.
As someone who’s ridden motorcycles and flown a Cessna 172, I couldn’t agree more.

My guess is that that bank paid for the making of this video, no matter how stellar it is in evoking how we feel. Ergo, roots of commercialism, tree and branch the same. @@fallinginthed33p My first impression in answer to you would be "Does it matter ?" But on second thought its time for an Oldclimber lecture here, snark, snark. The men depicted in that video where most assuredly all hard workers at relationships with other people, including within their group. That is something that is lost on most of the present generation, who view everything through "fun" glasses, and imagine that fun is the end goal of everything in life. They are wrong of course. A life of meaning is the goal of everything in life, and these men pushed past their physical obstacles, sometimes fell victim to them, and shared the meaning and work in just being together as friends. Though in the Western Christian tradition God comes first, He stated that "... as you do unto the least, so you do unto Me ..." or something very like that. And that includes everybody else.

Without a doubt the greatest commercial I have ever seen. I've been riding since I was 17, and I am 66 now. I still ride dirt bikes, and my grandson rides with me. I'll never quit as long as I can still draw breath. These guys were inspirational.

Yep - tear in the eye. I'm 74 and have survived numerous illnesses and setbacks - on two wheels every day and never disappointed. But not everybody understands this - they just don't get it. I think we bikers are a fortunate breed indeed

We were a motorcycle family. My father rode off-road motorcycles and bought them for us when we were kids. My father, mother, brother, and I rode all over Southern California and northern Mexico and watched On Any Sunday together.
Years later, my wife is Taiwanese, so I have been to the island. I've had a fantasy about doing a complete tour of the country not on a motorcycle but on one the scooters that everyone rides in Taipei. I want to move to Taiwan just so I can have one of those scooters.
I'll turn 60 this year, and both of my parents are still alive, but I know, one day soon, I'll have to face their deaths. Once that happens, maybe I can commemorate their lives and relive those happy years by finally making that tour of Taiwan with my wife on our scooters.
Safety is the first. As an Taiwanese, I must say that the most of Taiwanese have very bad habit on driving.

I lost my wife of 23 years in Feb 2013 after a long illness. I moped around in a funk for more than two years before I decided I couldn't live like that anymore. I finally decided some wind therapy might be good for me but the old Triumph Bonneville I had had been pretty well destroyed in Hurricane Andrew in 92. It was in a thousand pieces in my garage. So, I went down to the local Harley dealer and bought myself a brand new Heritage Softail. It has done wonders for my attitude!
I lost my love one for 34 years 4 month ago due to ALS, when we first meet I have a HD Softail Custom it was long ago bike is gone, 1 days before she die I get a HD Deuce from a neighbor whom never ride it, for $3500 with 7500 miles in it. Bike been seat in my garage for pass 4 months . Today this commercial is Light the fire in me one more time. 🙏🙏🤍🤍

This motorcycle video is the best I’ve ever seen, truly inspirational! I’m 68 and I still ride my black 1974 MZ TS-250 (250cc) motorcycle, but not as often as I used to. When I ride my bike is like going through a “time warp” and the feeling of freedom and independence is indescribable, I feel young again. Like in the western movies, as the cowboy rides into the sunset… So do I!

Great message but.... easy to say, hard to do. Everyday I tell myself, "go enjoy life, you're wasting your life away", but the problem...we have bills to pay, mouth to feed. If I was a millionaires, yeah... I don't have to work 9 to 5 everyday and just enjoy life every minute/seconds. But when you got mortgage payment, cars payment and medical payment, it's very difficult to enjoy life.

I am crying so heart warming ,WONDERFULL.I have just turned 76 and I still dream, live, and love my family.They have after some moving back in with me realised I have good ideas, am smart,and now re- respecting me.Age does not mean you to be ignored and bullied around ...as I still have many things to do in life .The body maybe ailing but the mind is still you and going strong.
For those of us who bought a motorcycle when life sucked as much as one hopes it ever sucks and it was the highlight of every damn day... This was pretty powerful.
I hope I'm still riding when I'm 80.

Im 81 an just sold my Indian. It just wieghed to much @ 720lbs so just make sure you get a lighter bike.
Absolutely Beautiful. Brought a tear to me eye's. I've buried my childhood friend's that I used to ride with. Miss them all. I hope they hold a place for me when I leave to see them again.

About five years ago, a group of elderly Taiwanese motorcyclists and scooter riders toured the USA and stopped in my hometown. They were truly amazing people! Though we couldn't communicate well with words, their smiles and laughter said it all. FANTASTIC! 🇹🇼❤️🇺🇸

I cried throughout this entire vid. First was tears of sorrow. Then it was tears of joy. These men have made real friends; and what a gift for one another. They will take these memories of these friends with them into the next life.
I'm not 80 yet, but I can see it from here. When I was young, I used to think nothing about a 1000 kilometer ride. Now, even though my feet are exactly where they've always been, I think twice about putting on my riding gear. Last year I meet a fellow who looked about 70, riding from Texas across Canada. But here's the kicker . . . the fellow riding the other bike was his father! Long may we ride . . .

That commercial was touching. Like the old man in the commercial who opened his garage to look at his motorcycle, I looked out the window into my backyard at my old Ninja... Riding on a motorcycle is like accessing the fountain of youth!

Absolutely fantastic !!!! When a group of friends looses one of it's members they suddenly realise "Now is the time for living" Lets ride" Despite their ailments they have a goal to fulfil and relive their dreams once again. They even took a picture of their missing comrade with them so he wouldn't be left behind, total respect here. I have never seen anything as truely awesome as this. As a bike rider since I was 15 I was in tears when I saw this. I will share this with as many as I can. I'm in my 60's now and I ride whenever and wherever I can. The sentiments expressed demonstrate the true motorcycling brotherhood that all riders belong to worldwide . 👍👍👍
I saw this video years ago and showed it to my riding buddies, now at 70 it seems to mean so much more, as you dont seem to have as many friends as before.

Get a life.. Live it. The earth will do well without you, or me. BTW, you know when you die, you will largely become one small insignificant carbon emission yourself.
It would take under a week with a Zero DS or S. Those bikes have more than 200 km range in city and it takes 9 hours to recharge them.
So every 3 hours or so you have to stop for 9 hours? What a POS.
I gave up 30 years ago and put my CX400 into the shed for "One day when we can afford to ride again" I am now halfway towards its completion and about to push the start button for only the second time in 30 years.... the last was about 15 years ago.... so, when I saw this it resonated really big. I vowed to never not own a motorcycle even if the one I owned was not running, I am now so inspired to keep restoring this and the summer of 2023 will be my first full return to biking in 30 years (I am 58). I laughed when I saw them "getting fit" as I started with nightly sit ups...lol I am a bit behind on those... I live in the Manawatu in New Zealand another beautiful country with many scenic parts to see. My father road his A50 all the way down the South Island and wrote a diary about this. The same bike I snuck out of the shed and learnt to ride on when I was 15. Mum had fits... It became my first bike ever after he gave it to me. I hope to re-read his adventures and maybe take my bike on the exact same adventure that he did.....perhaps I should start a you tube channel and document it...anyone else in NZ in the same boat? maybe we could start an " old farts" biker group,...lol
From a kiwi now living in Brisbane, no doubt you know the movie Red Indian about the guy from Invercargill who raced his motorbike against the Americans, who poo pooed he would never beat them .... but he did ! They keep playing this old movie regularly over here. When you get down there ..... Invercargill, they have a motorbike museum that’s fabulous to wander through and full of history. It’s a while since I went thru it so I hope it’s still there. Good luck and enjoy.
I was born 40 miles west of Invercargill out past Riverton and Colac Bay. At Wakapatu Beach where the MP Rex Austin’s family came from. The air always smells so clean and fresh whenever I go back home 😄

OK. I get it. I’m 77 years old and I ride a bicycle not a motor bike and it gives me a lift just like in this commercial. I feel like a teenager all over again whenever I get on my bike. It’s a great feeling!
7 years later and it still makes me cry tears of joy.
As a sixty two year old who still rides this made me cry.
I'm 69 and a disabled Vet. I'm still riding (50 years+). If I didn't I'd lock up and that would be that. I stopped by to watch this video again, It's inspiring. Tomorrow I go to buy a Royal Enfield Continental GT 650. It looks fun.

That is so cool! I lived in Taiwan for almost a year in the 70s, and whilst it's crowded in major cities as you'd expect, it does have quite a lot of stunning mountain and coastal areas.
Nearly at the age of these adventurous gentlemen... tempting me to get a bike again. 😎🇦🇺
