I'm a Ludwig man myself, but that Gretsch snare sounds phenomenal 💪

I have went down the snare wire rabbit hole and found myself putting the stock style back on. I also thought it would be nice to switch out the snare wires with that quick change system. However, by using the cotter key that just rests on the wires they tend to get out of square and uneven. I went back to the traditional way of mounting so they stay positioned correctly and I don't have a bad buzz. I do love Trick snare throw offs. Best on the market in my opinion.

I love the concept of the pure sound wire straps but I’ve had too many instances where the wires just randomly detach when playing so while I love the wires, I opt for other straps for more reliability at the sacrifice of the convenience of switching on the fly

It's like a happy meal for drummers. You really only buy it for the toy included. 😂

I'd love a snare wire video. I'm.a Canopus wire guy, i think they make the best wires. I find puresound just too dark for my tastes.

Good Grief - I'd imagine most intermediate / advanced drummer would prefer to purchase all these items separately in order to achieve their preferred sound. This kit seems like a good idea on paper, but your paying for nifty packaging, and some silly substitutes for WD-40 and an old cotton T-Shirt. Also, would have been nice to hear the snare before the entire conversion.

Even though I use Remo heads myself, I think the Evans tune up easier and sit nicely on any drum. The only thing that turned me off to Evans was their white coating. It has a weird feel and doesn't last long..
