Hi, the inlay has some thick parts sewn into it, so my question is is it washable at all considering it might lose the shape? That is the most important part to was as it is directly touching the baby. Thanks!

I just washed the newborn inlay in the washing machine in hand wash mode with as low rotation as possible and it came out just fine. Then I let it to dry on a rack. Nothing changed shape. :)

      Hi Sophia,
      Great question!
The inlay of the Coral is machine washable, please follow the instructions listed in the manual.
      Kind regards,
      Maxi-Cosi

@@maxicosi I would gladly join this question. The instructions in the manual are not very specific when it comes to the newborn inlay. The inlay itself also does not have any info about its composition and the washing directions. Additionally, it is not clear whether the inserts have to be taken out prior to washing. I would really appreciate your feedback on this matter.

@@jam_sam I don't think u can take the inserts out of the new born inlay.. my daughter projectile vomited all over the carseat I was so nervous about washing it because of all the poppers and clips that could get caught on the machine going round... snd then that's s £230 carseat down the drain....in actual fact @maxi-cosi it says to hand-wash at 30° for the whole carseat. But you can put it on a delicate or a hand wash cycle of the machine or a normal cycle turn down the heat and spin to about 800spin and spin it 2x . Put the main carseat in a pillow case and then tie it will a hair bobble tightly. Put the little bits like shoulder straps and other bits in a veggie mash zipper bag or a draw string bag and do the tight knot and voilà u can now safely do your carseat cover ... dont go above 30° it could shink it.... now drying it Put it near the radiator or sunny window on the back of a chair but not on the radiator thou it polyester I could melt or shrink and leave over night
