  • In this video, we dive into the story of Travis VanderZanden, one of the founders of share-step provider Bird. Once touted as the "fastest unicorn ever" with a billion-dollar valuation just a year after its founding, the company saw its stock drop more than 90% in value since its IPO. How did this happen?

I got offered a job to work for Bird and turned it down back in 2018.
Wasn't a good fit for me going across town everyday. Not worth the time

Video was informative and alarming. I'm trying to decide about shipping my inoperable Bird to MI facility since its still within 1 year of purchase but cost to me is $475 ($300 shipping, $175 packaging). The thing cost $600 when purchased. I'm worried about if Bird will be around long enough to get this repaired (they say they will fix and return at their own expense thankfully and return within 2 weeks). Longer term, I'm very doubtfull of any subsequent customer assistance (or should I say existance). If it's fixed ok and I get 10 years rides out of it (only ride it a couple of blocks to the gym and I keep it dry-safe in my garage) then I will be happy. If not, I will be unhappy camper. Any advice/feedback/experiences??

Plus above all other things there are a lot of scammers taking advantage of the paying method in various countries and tou may be scammed with them withdrawing big amounts from your card without notice, be careful.
