1. When people tip. 2. When they thank you. 3. When they understand how busy we are. 4. When they’re patient. 5. When they Smile! 6. When they know how to order. 7. Creativity
Since your "things baristas hate" video was all about the things customers do, I was hoping this would be about things that customers can do to make their baristas day. I think it's great that you love your job. That's not super common these days.
Ashley Crow did you read the title? It says "Things baristas love." not "Things you can do for baristas that they will love."
I seriously hope your boss sees this video and how sweet and passionate you are 💛
Aw thank you! He probably never will but thats ok!
Marissa Swetnam Noo, this girls rude and mean as hell, watch her "things baristas hate" 😷. I mean, you can even see how passive aggressive she is here and the way she replies to comments. Had to be said.
She's not??!! That's just the reality of the job. And in this video she says that the good outweighs the bad. Maybe you've just never done any kind of retail/customer service?
1m2a3t4t5 she’s actually not rude but super funny. We all have good and bad experiences. I actually think she made the bad experiences sound hilarious and like nobody should truly feel guilty being customer or barista so it was cool 🤟
I find it funny how they get up super early, before the sun, are really tired, but are barista's and that is literally their job to wake other people up sort of. Idk, I just find that very ironic.
(Of course it's not when you drink too much coffee and it just cancels itself out, I just suck at explaining things)
Were human too, not some robots who can run on 5 hours of sleep
I agree with remembering your name part. The first time my barista remembered my name & wrote it on my cup with asking me, I was pretty impressed. It made me feel like they are paying attention & value you as a customer.
Yes we try to do that the best we can!
eyebrows are fine tho
youre especially right about number 5!! baristas are some of the first people i told my new name-- the one attached to this account-- and being able to say that name to complete strangers slowly made me more confident as i began to transition
❤❤❤
It’s so clear that you love people!
I love people too and it makes any customer-based job so easy and fun and enjoyable :)
This is such a refreshing and inspiring video - so glad you popped up in my recommended xx
Ps. I am addicted to coffee and some of my favourite ever baristas actually have made a difference in my life so THANK YOU BARISTAS! ❤️❤️ Ah, kind of makes me a little emotional. #notcrying 😭
you're so compassionate, something that is rare in modern day humans.
all the love.
Oh thank you so much!
Most people are only compassionate to people or pets, so yes, very rare . :(
I just started a job as a barista and am a fellow Christian. I'm praying for you and your influence in people's lives. Just earned a subscriber.
Thank you for your support. Same to you and I hope you love your new job!
T. Chris Thanks
I realize this is an older comment, but NO ONE's religion should ever come in to play at work. If I were ordering a coffee and someone started babbling about their god and bible at me, I'd never go there again.
I also work at a small cafe, and would never presume to impose my beliefs on customers. Purely tacky and unprofessional.
Niko Scott I don’t think anyone was saying that’s what the plan was 😂
Niko Scott you can influence people without anything having to do with religion though........ I think they're just sharing their similarities to be nice, so......
Taylor, I loved your video! Especially the part about how the job is so relational. I am a barista and a Christian too! I love that I get to have a part in setting the tone of another person's day and making them feel noticed and important. Being a barista is an awesome job!
Very nice video. Especially the part where you speak about your faith and being able to minister to people. That is what it's all about. May God bless you and keep using you to spread His love.
Thanks for making this video! I just started working as a barista about two months ago and your videos about working as one have given me a new insight and dare I say, joy to my job so thank you for spreading the love and helping bring people together!
Your background is so cute!
Thank you!
It's Kit-Kat hey! Looking for some cool new influencers to feature in my blog and magazine ! Check it out honey ♥️♥️ lifeofalliie.com ♥️♥️
Life Of Alliie I just check out your blog and I really like it.
It's Kit-Kat thanks honey ♥️ would love to collaborate with you and @Taylor Nicole
Life Of Alliie I would love to! DM me on instagram so we can talk about it. My instagram is itskitkat123
I think it's very amazing that people like you exist in this life that seems ugly from social media but then you come here and see people like you and say" there is still so many good things in the world"
So true! You just gotta choose to see the good in the world!
God bless you. Just came across your videos today. I did a barista course before I fell pregnant and I love it.
So true what you say. Looking forward to seeing more vids :)
I love baristas. Like tbh they are the only people who meet you with a smile on their face even after a long day... thanks for being so sweet all the time.
I thought this video would be more showing of things that the customer can do to make a barista happy
Severus Snape did you read the title? It says "Things baristas love." not "Things you can do for baristas that they will love."
Ahhh this video made me so happy! Coming from another barista who is a believer I totally agree that being in this industry is an awesome way to just love on people and bless them!
your eyebrows are perfect 😭 I always make sure to be extra nice to everybody at coffee shops because working in retail for 4+ years, you realize people are ruthless and take their anger out on anybody they could. I love everyone who works at my starbucks and I try to tip as often as possible
Oh my gawddd girl I just found your videos and YAS the 16 things we hate and the 10 things we love. I worked at a coffee stand in Alaska for 3 years and we got some crazy people but when I left my regulars showed me so much love and brought me cards and plants 😂 what I’m trying to say is the regulars love you as much as you love them and even with the one-offs it was my favorite job.
Super glad I found this channel! I’m a Barista/Barber out of Atlanta! And these lists are so freaking relatable lol my favorite is remembering peoples drinks, their faces really do light up!!
They love it, its awesome!
I loooooove when I can tell how happy it makes someone when I remember their drink.
Dude seriously...
1. You are hilarious! Keep that up!
2. Don’t apologize for your other video, that’s what made me watch this one, not cause it looked awful but cause it actually is pretty entertaining and I AM that type of customer 😂😂🤟 and still got entertained!
3. Kudos for talking about blessing people through whatever job you do!
4. Keep the videos coming, I’m subscribing! 🙋♀️😜
I love all your points and I also loved drawing love hearts and smiley faces on Coffee lids and watching people smile or giggle when they saw it 💜😊 I loved managing a cafe and only stopped due to health issues. Bless you beautiful 💜
I'm a barista and also barista throw downs. Legit, like a few times a month a bunch of baristas from local coffee shops around town (Houston for me) and we legit go to a shop when it's closed and make coffee, latte art, drink a bit (beer and wine), play games, and etc..
Not even joking. Being a barista in a huge city is great bc the barista community is pretty close. You will know people on all sides of town.
Love that you pray for others! How wonderful!
God bless you. God is truly using you to bless others. I just got a job as a Starbucks Batista. I start Monday. Your video was very encouraging.
Aw thank you! I hope it goes well!
You are a fabulous human being. I love how much you love people and how much passion you have in what you do. I love to watch your videos because you have a personality that makes others inspired and motivated to achieve their goals.
that is so humbling to hear thank you!
Shocking you dont have more subscribers. You have all the makings of a famous youtuber.
Oh thank you Kaylee, that is sweet of you!
That is so cool that you got to share your faith! My husband told me one time that research was done as to what people did after a major natural disaster (hurricane, earthquake, etc)... and after power is restored, people want to go out for a cup of coffee. Apparently it restores a feeling of “normalcy”.
Anyway, after my grandmother died last year, I went to Starbucks and met a fellow Christian at a nearby table. He and I talked for a while about all kinds of things. It was nice that someone else cared that I was hurting. Coffee and company are very cathartic. 😌👍🏻💖
God bless!!
That is so sweet!
You seem very nice and very genuine. I think you would probably take the same positive approach no matter what job you were working. I honestly wish I had your mentality. I wish others had it too. And the fact that your faith drives your positivity, makes you all the more genuine. Keep up the videos, this can be another way that your positivity can make a stranger's day. 👍
This is such an amazing video I'm so glad to see there are others out there like me who love being personable at work. I literally had baristas at work tell me I'm to much of a ppl person and they don't see that as a part of their job. I'm standing there like that is your job make ppl want to come back by making their coffee & their day.
I truly miss working for a small coffee shop, currently at a starbucks. Can't wait til I can open my own shop.
you truly do have the power to make their day! its the best!
I truly hope you have your own coffee shop someday. I think it would be a great success and your employees would love working for/with you!
I'm a christian and a barista as well. I'm so glad you shared this because I have struggled to find what I love about this job besides a means to a paycheck. I too am not into the science but love the people, so this was great to hear! Thanks for sharing this.
Of course!
i read through the comments i agree with most i didn't finish {ADD kickin in} but yes you are a beautiful, smar,t good soul that cares for others yet understands were not in a perfect world and calls it like it is......,mastery!!!!! bravo!!! well done!!!!!!

God bless... ____ former sbux supervisor...current sbux barista in target....
Oh thank you Leslie! I appreciate you taking the time to comment!
Hey!! Just ran into your video and I really liked it! I just started working at small family business cafe and the things you said are so true! And I’m definitely subscribing! 😉
As a fellow barista, everything you said is so true. Especially knowing your regulars and pretty much being their psychiatrist!
Aww that's awesome! I'm Christian as well! I totally agree. Interacting with people and be able to pray for them and talk about Jesus while drinking/serving coffee is super awesome! 🌷☕️
Subscribed because your positivity is amazing and contagious. ❤️❤️
Im so glad Abby! Thanks for the support :)
Thank you for this video. I so want to become a barista for a long time and for the very same reasons you've shared last on your video. You've just inspired and encouraged me to pursue becoming a barista...Thank you
its super fun! Go for it!
i love this video :) its amazing to hear that you love your job.
I recently got hired by Starbucks and this video makes me soo excited to start 😫 I love being a positive influence in other people’s life .
You're so sweet :) just stumbled across your videos. I'm not a barista or anything, although my brother was. Just find it really interesting, and I love casual chatty videos like this. New sub!
The barista I see every morning is so awesome, helps start my day off right and your eyebrows look great, I’m not an eyebrow aficionado or anything tho.
The early morning sunset thing hit home for me. I remember when I used to barista going into work at 5am but every morning on the way the sun was beautiful.
You go girl! I found you from that video, but I truly think you're actually really good at making videos. I love how confident you are (or seem) with it! P.s. I know this is an older video but you're gorgeous. Don't listen to what other say, that's negative. ❤
Thank you love!
Taylor Nicole of course!
The sunrise thing is sooo true! I’m not a barista but I go to work early, and sometimes the sunrise is so beautiful that it literally blows my mind
Oh! Ur a Christian, too? Now you ARE my favorite Barista! 😊 Without even serving me any coffee. 👍
Lol well thank you!
loooooool
That’s really stupid. Believing unproven religions makes you like someone? You’re only Christian because our ancestors are European. There is no proof. She said lol because you made this awkward!
omg i want to be your friend, i've been a barista for 6 years and i love the videos i've seen of yours! love talking with other baristas :)
Honestly this is so relatable!! I am a barista and feel all of this on a personal level 😍
haha so glad :)
Friend of mine opened an independent coffee shop in west Fresno County. Everyone thought he was nuts in our 10 bar 20 taco truck town. He's doing well 7 years now. Say hi to him.. DiAmici's Coffee in Mendota, CA. He gets customers traveling on Interstate 5 between L.A. and SF. Curiosity gets the best of them and they take the detour. He's thinking of putting in a charging plug for Teslas.
Best thing about the open is you can go home first haha
Lol trueeeee
True
You saved the best for last! God bless you!
Ahhh thank you!
howardasternfan Indeed!
♡
I enjoyed listening to you. You deserve more subs also your eyebrows look good! Girl, hate on what?!
Hahaha thank you! Thats nice of you
Starts at 2:07
Sooo helpful thx
YOU'RE AWESOME & in plenty of ways!!! So, please don't listen to those folks who have to waste time with negative nonsense, like nitpicking and making fun.
So nice of you thank you!
you deserve way more subscribers
Lol aw thank you!
np
Love love your T-shirt!
thank you, i got it from walmart!
I do have to wear make up, and hate it but, whatever, I love my Job.
DANCING! It's part of my daily routine. I'd feel empty if I didn't do it, but always do it.
We open at 6:00 and we gotta be there at 5:30 (hate it but love it too) but even when you're in the PM shifts, you can see the sunset.
I met a lot of famous people in my country xD got a looooot of pics with them.
A reallly nice thing for me is that I live in a touristic city, I can practice english and meet people from different countries, realize that just the way they drink coffee changes if country changes.
I remember that I started selling Coffee for two americans, and they ended praying for me, that was really cute, nice, and made me feel that I was working in the correct place.
It is so fun! I am glad you love your job!
Blessings to you!! ❤️
Love this video, but my store is the opposite of chill! Yes, I love the people I work with, but I'm on bar for five hours straight every morning without a break. It's in an office building so everyone wants their coffee lol.
I don’t know why, but as I began watching this video, I got the vibe you were a Christian even tho you didn’t mention it unto the end and I’m glad you did. :) subscribed!
Wow thats amazing to hear! Thank you for the encouragement!
I see beautiful sunrise and sunset for almost everyday here in Jakarta since I worked as a Barista. Thank you for sharing tho. Please consider at making another fun video in your working place currently, to get the people know how exiting to be a Barista.
Cheers...
Lutfi Hakim I
I'm Muslim and I believe in the exact same things...Wonderful things that you for people :)
The last one is so true. I had stories where someone got divorced, had a baby, lost their pet, and they were willing to tell me those stories.
I know what you mean.
I always look forward to greet people with their cup of coffee. I love knowing their names, their drinks, and I was given many opportunities from it.
it really is such an honor that people trust you enough to share those things! such a blessing!
I'm a manager of a cafe. This is what I love. The regulars, the espresso machine we use, quality of the coffee(Verve coffee roasters), the co-workers and the business. I feel like we have different opinions about being the best barista you can be. I hire high school kids with no coffee experience to be baristas. The training program is pretty exact and follows the Speciality Coffee Associations guide lines. In about a month they can pour latte art and gain other technical skills. Our goal is to provide the best education in the coffee industry for students. When they leave for college I typically have a job lined up for them in the town they move to.
That is super cool, Andrew! Sounds like you're doing something awesome with the shop you're at, Love to hear that.
I really like you. Your so genuine and a beautiful person!!!!
Well thank you Lisa!
I actually thought baristas hated me inside when I order my coffee personalized, like they know it and all but I thought they hated me haha glad that you know your job so much! :)
No its such a fun job! Im sure you're a pleasant customer!
you are so cool! i am a christian also and you are truly an inspiration. btw where are all your subscribers?!?! and did i mention your so cool!!
Aw thank you Emma! Lol
Love your shirt!! ♡♡♡
So, first and foremost, you are beautiful...I think your eyebrows are beautiful :D Next month I am gonna be barista, so excited about it. I love coffee and I think that coffee love me too :D
“If you don’t like it you don’t need to do anything just exit out of the video” 😁😂
you are an awesome youtuber and you deserve more subscribers and congrats for 501 subs
Oh thank you!!
Pls make a vid about how to do well in an interview/barista interview if you don’t have any experience And how to make the most popular drinks !! 😇 love your vids 😛 been binging your barista vids and subscribed
I also have really bad anxiety about job interviews so that’d be super awesome if you made that video
God Bless in what you do you are a great person!!!
Thank you much!
i’m not even a barista and i have been binge watching all your videos today 😭
Haha i love that! I love that you're enjoying them!
Hi - you have beautiful eye brows, nothing at all wrong with them, full, natural & gorgeous brows👌
Your eyebrows are my fave facial feature of yours tho!
I love these barista videos!!
I love my job! I work at a small cafe as a barista and all of these are applicable!
That was so awesome the last point
You nailed it! :)
Love your shirt!
Hey, T.Chris. I too work at a coffee shop. I've learned how to make all sorts of coffee and lattes and so on.....I do relate on every sense of your videos. Keep it up, oh my question is what's your best tip? Keep it real!!!!
Thats awesome fernando! thanks for watching! My test tip.....oh boy. I would say feel free to have fun, crack jokes with customers and let your personality show, they love that and will continue to come back to see you!
I love that my baristas know my name and my drink! They even give me fashion tips 😁
Haha how nice of them!
I'm an early riser too. Like President John Quincy Adams I'm skinny dipping at 5:00AM. IMHO he was a little nuts - swam in the Potomac all year round. I swim in a heated pool. It's a great way to start the day.
I love making iced drinks over hot and blended and bringing home tips at the end of the day
Oh heck yeah. Iced drinks are the best
I love your videos 🙌🏻💕
Your eyebrows do not look bad! That was the hot look when I was in college to keep your brows natural. I keep mine heavy because of my glasses.
Ummm hello ma'am! I'm here from your #thingsihate video. I absolutely love coffee and work in customer service as well. I was so into the topics you listen I promise I was making the same faces you did in the video lol. I just subbed!
Lol my goodness! Thank you, you are awesome!
Shoot me but how do you have nails as a barista 😭
Lots of smaller coffee shops are more lenient with clothing, hair, nails. First thing I did after my last day at Starbucks was go get my nails done lol, but I have friends who are baristas and allowed to do whatever with their nails.
Excuse my ignorance, but why would nails be an issue?
Lynette Miller Since you aren't wearing gloves, there's the risk of your polish chipping off and falling into drinks. Which is unlikely of course but still possible.
StripesAndCardis thanks!
StripesAndCardis The last place I worked was fine with acrylic nails, because the varnish doesn't chip off, but not nail polish incase it gets in stuff.
You’re the best 💕
I love your videos! What kind of youtube equipment do you use?
UR EYEBROWS ACTUALLY LOOK REALLY NICE AND IF U LOOK LIKE A BEAST THEN WHAT AM I
I love your eyebrows btw
Thank you!
My downtown location has a lot of crazy stories attached 😂😂😂
I’m a barista too and can relate to so much of what you said so the whole video I kept thinking ‘I wonder if she’s a Christian I wonder if she’s a christian’ and lo and behold haha keep it up girl!!
that is awesome! Appreciate your support girl, thank you!
