Thanks for watching, everyone! This was filmed a few weeks ago before the really bad rain. I hope everyone living in Korea is doing okay and is staying safe! Also, I didn't color correct this video at all, that's really how green everything was. It's absolute madness!!! Sending love^^
Wow! This video was sooo awesome. Are you still using your iPhone to film? If so which iPhone and software are you using? Your videos are keeping me sane!
The natural landscapes in Korea are all so stunning! I find it fascinating how Seoul still has so much beautiful greenery despite being a metropolitan city. Thank you for another lovely vlog:)
Nobody: Literally Nobody: cari cakes: brightening everyone’s day with this video ✨ lots of love from a small youtuber! you inspired me to have a back to school giveaway for students
Wow. Seoul is so amazing. There are lots of beautiful mountains just several minutes away from the bustling city's center. Thanks for sharing and love from Japan.
Natural landscapes in SK are truly amazing! The pavillon near the river: A DREAM. ✨ When I visited Seoul, I also wanted to see a bit of the countryside so I went to a day trip to Sokcho (to see the beach and the Seoraksan forest) and WOW, that's still an incredible memory. 😊
I recently discovered your channel through a friend and instantly fell in love. Your vlogs (both travel ones and chatty ones) have been so healing for me - just like a warm cup of tea. Keep up the good work and I can’t wait to go back to Korea.
Nature makes me emotional too! Everything is just so beautiful and sometimes it leaves me in disbelief that something could withstand all the bad and the good to prevail and continue to grow. Very nice video. I’ll have to check out Buemo. :)
Wow, when you described the lady with her hat I really felt that in my gut. Another beautiful video! Can’t quite believe this isn’t colour corrected! So vivid! Xx
woww this vlog kinda brings me to “sageuk kdrama” life. It’s still amazes me that Korea esp. Seoul still have lots of their traditional buildings & archi despite their modern development.
Caris resident Norwegian🇳🇴: This was just the nicest thing to watch! I've been in a slump of missing Korea like crazy and it was so nice to see the beautiful nature so close to a huge metropolitan city that I love so so much💕💕 Thank you like always Cari for letting me live vicariously through you with your beautifully made videos💕 They always brighten my mood💕
As someone who’s half Korean, I’ve been wanting to visit Korea for many many years now. Your genuine appreciation for the country is making me tear up tbh because I’ve been pulled by feelings of being treated as a foreigner (as I don’t look Korean) but seeing you thrive on your solo trips has made me realise it’s okay to look and act different- it’s all in the confidence :)
Cari, wanted you to know you inspired me to try Korean cooking for the first time. I made Ttoekbokki and it was delicious although my husband and I were sweating from the Gochujong. I am definitely going to try a few more recipes this week. I love your vlogs. Korea is so beautiful and you express yourself so well. I always look forward to your uploads.
The scenery in this video was amazing! Everytime I watch your videos I'm amazed how stunningly beautiful South Korea is. Thank you Cari for making me feel cozy and at peace!!
I really admire how comfortable you are with being alone. It always looks so nice and peaceful but I always feel awkward and uncomfortable when I have to be in public alone, esp at cafes or restaurants. I've gotten over most of my anxiety but this is one i still struggle with a little. As silly as it may sound, you really inspire me to spend some alone time out in the world. Beautiful vlog as always!
That is just the perfect itinerary for a day in Seoul 🥺 now I badly miss going out, seeing nature and spending peaceful quality time on a tearoom/cafe 😢
@@caricakes oh sorry~ it's not like i've been in seoul before. I never had a chance to travel in korea 😭 we're still in lockdown and so I can't go anywhere even in neighboring towns.
If this wasn't the Namjooniest Namjooning vlog, idk what is 😂😍That tree would have made me cry too, what is it about beautiful and old things that make me cry??? The lady you described painting, with her hat blowing in the wind reminded me of that scene in The Wind Rises haha
I have never seen a chipmunk or squirrel in real life but they look adorable in photos & on film. I know Cari commented on how mountainous it is but I am always pleasantly surprised by how very green and lush it looks. I know London is known for it's gardens & parks but Korea looks like it could compete!
Watching this while I’m eating porridge and just bedresting. I had my wisdom teeth extracted and was hoping I would be all better today to start working, but I woke up with so much pain. I had to call in sick and immediately felt guilty. I knew another cari vid would sooth my worries and calm me down.
I only lived in Seoul for about a year when I was much younger than now and thought I don’t miss that place anymore but watching your vlogs makes me want to live there again 😭😭
my country is still in lockdown (with no good plan against covid 🙄) so my mental health has been whack. watching you gush over nature makes me feel a little lighter. hope you enjoy more good weather and beautiful scenery 🍃 thanks, cari
I love that you explore your surroundings and that you're not afraid to be out by yourself! It's truly inspiring, thank you for taking us along your travels. It's super heartwarming to watch you explore and enjoy your days.
There's just something so surreal about Korea's nature. Like the trees look lusciously green and fresh! It truly feeds my soul (no pun intended) whenever you go out to places like these. On the other hand, being in a forest alone is terrifying to me because I'm afraid of what woodland creatures I might encounter haha... Amazing video Cari!!!
Cari~ you are so stink in’ cute and they way you talk and present about what you are experiencing when you go on your “tours” is simply beautiful. I love your creative content!! ❤️❤️
The rainy days have caught up with us too in Greece literally the sky was light up with thunder. One of those days you might transport into a different time like outlander this is what these vlogs make me feel.✨🍃 I am watching this video from my balcony while the rain has stopped but is still cloudy and this video is just perfect for it. The kid yelling mom! Hope they found her
Cari would make an incredible tour guide. I can’t wait to visit one day and visit many of her recommendations. She seem so knowledgeable about the sites and history. She is also so personable!
What I find really inspiring about you is the fact the you actually *know* the place your'e living in, and aspire to experience it to the fullest ! When covid starts to calm down in my country hopefully, I'm going to try and do the same, or a least try and know my country a bit more
usually your videos only gives me lots of joy but all the beauty of this vlog just made me cry since I have tickets to South-Korea in the end of October and I try to avoid the fact that I should probably reschedule my flight. I know Korea will be there but I'm just waiting for tis trip for so long. Anyways thank you for the video as always! ❤
What a green vlog wow✨ and it’s so amazing that even though you’ve been living there for a long time, you still find new places to blow you away! That must feel wonderful! Thanks for always bringing us with you✨
Hi Cari, Every time I watch one of your videos it brings a lot of joy to my day. I stumbled upon your channel a few months ago after I purchased my plane ticket to visit Korea and I have been watching ever since. I'm hopeful that my trip will still be possible in March but who knows :) thanks for your hard work on these videos.
I could be absolutely wrong, but those "wild strawberries" look a lot like what we have in Sweden called smultron. It's a tiny, more sour berry and we definitely eat it here xD
We've got wild strawberries in Germany, too (they look like these she showed and are called Wald-Erdbeere which means Forest-Strawberry), and you can absolutely eat them! They are sweeter than their big cousins, my parents have them in their garden and I ate lots of them all the time xD
The garden looks amazing! I love the Korean traditional houses. I’m amazed they were able to maintain it beautifully. ❤️ Oh, and that penne pasta you’re having at 11:13 looks delish! 🤤
I just discovered your channel a few days ago and your videos are seriously helping me cope with quarantine in the US. They always have such a peaceful vibe. Thanks so much for these, I’m living vicariously through your adventures! ❤️
I subbed to your book channel awhile back because i just love your energy and love your book choices. Failed to realize you have a MAIN CHANNEL, proceeded to BINGE like 6 of you videos. Needless to say i am in heaven with your content. Thank you for sharing your life with us, it is going to give me so much happiness 🤧
Okay.. I just found your channel and honestly WOW ! Firstly, I absolutely love your lifestyle! Secondly, I want to thank you for all the beautiful sceneries of East Asia you’ve shown to us in your videos, it literally makes me dream !! And lastly, thank you for answering some of my inquiries about moving/living in another country. Have a really really nice day, xxx
This video was so relaxing! Just to see all of that greenery was a feast to the eye not mentioning the buildings (I really like this building style) ♥️
I've only been to Seoul once and that was in the middle of winter - definitely need to go back and explore outside the city a little. Thanks for another chilled day out! :)
Cari! Your videos are always one of my favorites here on youtube! You turn everything into magic! I went to Korea last year but I feel i didn't explore much since there is so much to see!! I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed watching one of your vlogs more than this one omg!! I’m moving to Seoul next week and I’ll DEFINITELY check out this neighborhood (once my 2 week quarantine is done😭)!
Yes, as you are introducing rightly, there are so many wonderful places in Seoul and even in S. Korea, easily accessible at a lovely price. Unfortunately most Korean are too busy and tired from their daily lives to enjoy them. Recently we, Korean, are challenging socially and politically to change our life style, simply expressing “let’s relex, more and more”. I’m not sure, our challenge will be successful or failed. Hopefully, many Korean, rather than foreigners like you, will find wonderful places in S. Korea from your good lady’s Vlog. ^^
Thank you for this vlog, Cari. I enjoyed the beautiful nature and cafe so much. I live in Texas where quarantine is still very much a part of my life and your vlogs allow me to "travel". I feel like one of these days you are going to find Namjoon just enjoying the trees around Seoul 😂 loved the video 🌸
lol!
I just feel like they would end up debating the merits of seafood and mint chocolate, but agree on trees and books.
I keep thinking exactly the same! Maybe Cari would end up bumping into him at a museum, or a garden, or library!
Same😂
Same bro same
Thank you for bringing us along on your walks around Seoul. My list grows longer with every video.

@Paul Shin Oh, okay, it looks the same as the forest strawberry here in Germany! Interesting! So I will restrain from eating it in Japan then XD
