      yup. thats their plan, ever wonder why no one places any blame on the school for lack of security, no one blames the bullies that caused the guy to do this, they only blame school bullies if a girl kills herself. but if the kid fights back, oogh then lets protect the bullies and keep that out of the news, but yeah, these are the next generations of voters. and everyone knows florida was one of the most gun friendly states. well the democrats cant have that. even though it is one of the most lowest crime states.

    Children these days have to deal with all of these things that started when I was in high school with Columbine. I've never felt safe since. Being caught in a mass shooting or having one happen at my mother's school are my biggest fears. I've lived my life with that fear and still do. These kids are being forced to grow up too quickly, to feel their own mortality very early in life. That is why young people like Cameron Kasky and David Hogg are so aware, so knowledgeable, well-spoken and disgusted by these atrocities. It's because this is the nation they've been forced to grow up in. This is their unfortunate "normal," and that desperately needs to change. I hope that their voices are loud enough to be heard. An army of student survivors -- 3,000 strong -- with voices in unison and speaking out should be heard.

      yup, this must be a good school, that other kid in the other interview that is a journalist was VERY articulate and just reading the comments you could tell how many people thought he was reading a script and saying he was a "crisis actor". The only reason they say that is because they all have no education, use internet phrases on a daily basis and a vocabulary that matches a 4th grader.

      A Little Gun HistoryIn 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control.From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.You won’t see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.Take note my fellow Americans, before it’s too late.The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.With guns, we are ‘citizens’. Without them, we are ‘subjects’.During WWII the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED.If you value your freedom, please spread this antigun-control message to all of your friends.SWITZERLAND ISSUES EVERY HOUSEHOLD A GUN.SWITZERLAND’S GOVERNMENT TRAINS EVERY ADULT THEY ISSUE A RIFLE.SWITZERLAND HAS THE LOWEST GUN RELATED CRIME RATE OF ANY CIVILIZED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. IT’S A NO BRAINER.DON’T LET OUR GOVERNMENT WASTE MILLIONS OF OUR TAX DOLLARS IN AN EFFORT TO MAKE ALL LAW ABIDING CITIZENS AN EASY TARGET.Spread the word everywhere you can that you are a firm believer in the 2nd Amendment.It’s time to speak loud before they try to silence and disarm us. You’re not imagining it, history shows that governments always manipulate tragedies to attempt to disarm the people~

      +Nicholaus - he inherited a multi-million dollar company. He did build that company, leveraging his inherited attorney's uniquely perverted take on the thin, often contradictory line between law and ethics to leverage absolutely every advantage he could (failure to pay, death by lawsuit, strong arms tactics, bankruptcy laws, along with legitimate business practices) to build his real estate development empire. And we're about to learn just how much of the "growth" of that empire depended upon exceptionally shady and, possibly, illegal money laundering practices. He's no Warren Buffet, or Elon Musk, or Bill Gates, or any of thousands of leaders who have created real value for this and future generations (and for themselves). He creates real value for himself, and precious little for anyone else (only the few that he actually employs - the construction workers? they'd get the work one way or another, whether Trump was the developer or someone else was). That practice continues to this day.

    Cameron is 100% right, and he's more powerful (as are his fellow students) than they imagine. It's much harder for politicians to look them in the eyes and pretend "nothing can be done." OF COURSE IT CAN, starting with actual gun exchange programs, much tougher restrictions and penalties, and mandatory, regulated background checks -- NONE of which the politicians or the NRA should oversee.... we need a non-partisan body to enforce common sense gun legislation to protect our people.
    Also, we need more money in the public systems for mental health care in schools. Trump's admin wants to slash public school funding more than they've already done, and wants to make it even easier than they've made it currently to get weapons of WAR. That's why it's so important to support these kids, while fighting alongside them to end this madness. *IF YOU HAVEN'T YET REGISTERED TO VOTE, YOU MUST DO SO NOW! 2018 is when we vacate Trump's corrupt cronies from the house & senate.*
    *And even then, the fight doesn't end. The NRA funds Dems too - we need to get MONEY OUT OF POLITICS. This is what happens when government makes laws that cater to corporations and wealthy donors, and not to the people they're supposed to serve!*
    ---> Check out the #JusticeDemocrats, candidates who refuse to take corporate money, so they are beholden to JUST US! (Hence the name!).
    --> Check out wolf.pac.com to get involved in the fight for a constitutional amendment that would reverse Citizens United to get MONEY OUT OF. POLITICS!
    Keep up the amazing work, you brave, wonderful students! We stand with you in solidarity in this fight to protect the people!

    • @brandyb2931
      @brandyb2931 6 лет назад +3

      You do realize that the NRA is responsible for our gun laws right? You must look into the real purpose the NRA has instead of listening to the bullshit the left tells you about. My father is a member of the NRA and he is an extremly staunch supporter of gun laws keeping guns out of the wrong peoples hands. This kid had issues as a juvenile that were not available to a background check because as we all know juvenile records on crime and mental health are not available to background checks. However, the entire area and the police and even the FBI knew of this kid and they did nothing to stop this. When it comes to the 2nd amendment I think you ppl underestimate the majority of americans who hold that right dear to them. The AR15 (stands to Armalite rifle, NOT assault rifle) is not a weapon of war, they do not use them in war. The modifications may be an issue but the weapon itself is a semi automatic rifle which means the chamber rounds automatically but there is only one bullet per trigger pull. And if you have ever seen people who are well trained with their weapons that are not semi automatic shoot them you will see many can round the chamber, aim and fire just as fast as a semi automatic weapon does. What needs to be looked at is what has changed in society that this happens now. Kids used to bring their guns to school in their vehicles to go hunting after or they just had it on them for an unplanned day at the range and in some placed they would even put them in their lockers till after school to go shooting or hunting with friends after school. There werw no shootings back then, nobody would have dared. What has changed about society that is causing this? Our kids are very desensitized to death and how final it really is. They have games, music and movies that glorify shooting and killing people. You mix that up with mental health issues and toss in some psychotropic meds on a still developing brain and you have a cocktail for an incident.

    • @stefanc5048
      @stefanc5048 6 лет назад +1

      I hold my kids, any kids, way more dear than any guns, second amendments, constitutions and any other bullshits you care to enumerate. The NRA is voting down any laws that are going against their agenda. And if you think the gun rights are their agenda you are simply delusional. They represent the arms industry, the many millions they stand to lose if the ban is instated. Armalite or Assault weapon I don't care, they need to be off the shelf. Until we can figure out what's changed, why are these people doing what they're doing we need to first take away their means and methods: the guns. And once we cure whatever disease they've got going around that makes these kids go crazy we can start selling anything, even F16s because guess what, everyone will be sane, responsible and fair.

    • @m.jckaloe..jonstoe1576

      Brian Kimball - yes, I need to be paid by a government organization to give a shit about dead kids. Shows where your head is at, man. Have some basic human empathy. I don't care if you join an RNC group or a DNC group, as long as you demand that your elected reps work for the people, and not corporations. If Citizens United is repealed because of republican efforts, I'll be the first person in line cheering them on and giving them kudos. I don't care about the politics of WHO does what's right - I just want SOMEONE to do what's right by the American people who - whether republican or Democrat - deserve to have their interests and lives represented. Both of the major parties are in the hands of corporations - we need to use our votes to change that. It's not about partisanship, it's about leadership that actually fights for the people.

      Mumble Rap jaja I actually live 1 block from chicago and yea your right you can't walk in the streets in half of the city meaning the south of chicago the other half your fine but is expensive . And the gun control is crazy but you walk to someone in the corner selling drugs and he'll sell you a 22 for less than 100$ that's why there is all these teens with guns here I got offered a double barrel shotgun for $250 and a Beretta 9mm for 150$ guns are cheaper than a Xbox so kids go for the gun and get the free Xbox at gun point

    If you look at the study by The Crime Research Prevention Center that looked at every mass shooting between 1950 and 2016, they found that a staggering 98.4% happened in gun free zones. Even if we limit the range to 1998 to 2016, we still see that 96.2% of mass shootings occur in gun-free zones. Federal legislation created a national “gun-free schools” policy, effective in 1996. Some criminologists maintain this created a new dynamic, encouraging mass murder on campus. Thus after 1995 it is increasing difficult to make comparisons based on the effects of CCWs and mass shootings. Years ago kids would take their guns to school in the trunk of a car or on the pickup truck window and NOBODY GOT SHOT.

      So think about what that means for a minute. You will have to stay home 24/7. Neither you nor your family will be able to ever leave home, go to a concert, on vacation, the movies, church or house of worship, etc. Your kids definitely will not be able to go to school...they will have to be home schooled. You will have to work from home. But what if you have to go into work one day. Your only access to the outside world will be the internet and television. It sounds like a great life.

      Bruh, of course you live in fear which is why you love your gun. But you can't take it everywhere with you and you definitely can't take it to meet Jesus...LOL.

      DR. FINE,
      That is an interesting line which I Iike on the surface and I can see where it has some merit. On the other hand, I would be concerned about someone pushing the envelope if they also have a gun. The situation could go south very quickly.

      The government forces us to send our children to government schools. They allowed someone who had been investigated by the FBI, had the police called on him for violent behavior and posted about wanting to shoot up a school to buy a gun. He walked in to that school carrying a big duffel bag at 2PM and a faculty member watched him do it. They tried to stop him with a sticker on the window that says "No Weapons". The government failed on every single level to protect those kids. And now are asking them to protect them some more. This is insanity. None of the shit these people are asking for will have any effect.

Someone gets ahold of a semiautomatic and uses it to mow people down....and we do absolutely nothing. No one is blaming the gun, we're saying it shouldn't be this easy for a maniac to get a military-grade weapon.

      + I'm right you're wrong
      First off, we would be defenseless as a country. Second, the criminals will always have guns. Thirdly, crazy people who want to kill people will always find a way to kill people. The Bath School disaster, sometimes known as the Bath School massacre, was a series of violent attacks perpetrated by Andrew Kehoe on May 18, 1927, in Bath Township, Michigan, which killed 38 elementary school children and six adults and injured at least 58 other people. Kehoe killed his wife and firebombed his farm, then detonated an explosion in the Bath Consolidated School before committing suicide by detonating a final device in his truck.

    Broward County Sheriff's office called dozens of times over this kid's dangerous behavior. Nothing done. Board of Education and multiple schools knew about his dangerous behavior...nothing done. Florida has a law known as the Baker Act that allows law enforcement to hold a person for 72 hours to conduct a mental health exam. No one ever invoked it against Nikolas Cruz. If they had, they could have declared him incapacitated and he would have been unable to purchase, own or possess firearms. His name would have been entered into the NICS national background check database. The FBI was given an actionable tip in early January, including his name...they took no action. When are people going to wake up and understand that these events are being used to take away Gun Rights...plain and simple. Law enforcement at every level fell down on the job and didn't use the existing tools in place....Wake up people! Stop being played by the mainstream media and those in government with their own agendas.
