    The SleepOvation Hybrid Mattress is an online-only, direct-to-consumer hybrid mattress. I slept on the SleepOvation mattress for 9 nights before making this video. In this video, I will tell you all about my impressions from my sleep trial. Bear in mind, this video is my impression only. Buying a mattress is a highly personal thing ... shoot, buying a mattress is harder than buying a car!
    Why is it called “700 Tiny Mattresses In One?” -- each pocketed coil has its own comfort layer of high density foam on top. It’s designed for enhanced back support, pain relief, and it’s endorsed by several professional athletes, including Cara Poalillo from American Ninja Warrior.

    WARNING: was excited by the good YT videos so checked the company. TrustPilot rates it Poor; the BBB gives it an F. TrustPilot also found they’d been getting rid of negative reviews. People have 3 complaints. The mattresses can be a lot smaller than they should be, like 4” short on both width and length. After a few months the individual pockets may start breaking down or tearing away. Management handles these complaints by ignoring them, and if the customer is persistent, getting hostile and obstructive. I’ll wait for someone else to make a quality version of this, or for the company to get it together.

      We just bought one, it's a queen size, and it's the exact same size as the Tempur-Pedic queen that we replaced. I guess time will tell if the individual mattresses do any tearing or breaking down, that's this first I heard of such a thing. The physical therapists Bob & Brad are big fans of the mattress, so I was sold after their reviews. www.youtube.com/@BobandBrad

    Wow, fast forward 3 years latter and that mattress is now $2,549.00! I paid $1,911.75 after a 20% coupon. We replaced a 15 year old basic Tempur-Pedic that was no longer working out for us, and I was starting to have some lower back pain. We've only been sleeping on this new mattress for a few days, but so far my wife and I have had some very solid nights sleep, with no pains.

    Not a lot of “real” reviews on this bed; thanks for being one of the few (possibly only). Looking for shoulder relief so this review helped me greatly! I found it strange they had no layers between the top and springs. It also doesn’t look like it would age well for a heavier person. Most pillow tops I’ve owned, the “pillow” breaks down and starts to sag, or the springs start to remained more compressed overtime. Especially on my husbands side (he’s 220 lbs).

    I am like you, I need to get a thinner pillow. All of mine just seem to put my neck at a weird angle. Overall I really like my mattress. I do have some lower back pain but I think it's because I sit all day for a desk job (8 hours) and it's from home, so I sit after work too. But I'm also Heavy like 240-245 so, that might have something to do with it. On my back I do feel the firmer "compression" of the mattress near my lower area. I am mostly a side a side sleeper, my arms don't go numb as much as they used to on my other mattresses. And I can sleep on my back pretty comfortably. I sleep a lot cooler on this mattress. I don't sleep a whole night through but that's from health issues and neighbors disturbing my sleep.

    I was wondering: What if you cut a slit in the mattress cover, hemmed up the edges, cut a slit in your bottom sheet, hemmed that up, then you could side sleep with your bottom arm directly under you, extended out between a row of the mini mattresses. Would that work? I have broken both clavicles over my lifetime and have shoulder pain when I try to side sleep. I am hard wired to side sleep, so even though knowing that it hurts, I keep turning from back to right side, right side to back, back to left side. All night. It sucks.

    • @dugroz
      @dugroz  3 года назад

      Much sympathy, Dusty! That would be pretty extreme (especially in an expensive mattress like this one), but hey -- desperate times call for desperate measures. It certainly could work ... I dunno! Certainly would void the warranty. I can't recommend it b/c of voiding the warranty, but ... I wish you luck whatever you decide!

    Hi Doug; I am waiting for my full size sleepovation to arrive; I took advantage of the Halloween Sale and I am on a payment plan (closer to $90 a month ) for about $1100. I have had good luck in the past by putting my memory foam topper on an air mattress and my inhome beds; but I still wanted something to help with my chronic lower back pain. Without even trying it yet I was already thinking about a small extra padding and since I cant put it beTWEEN the little mattesses and the coils I am going to put it on top. I will of course try it withOUT the memory foam..but I am hoping this will dramatically affect my sleep patterns (my fitbit gives me a sleep readout; I wake up between 3a and 4a every morning *sigh*) and hopefully not have so much chronic pain. We shall see! ;^)!

    The edge support looks almost Non-existent! Not everybody can afford a 20+ year long lasting premium dunlop latex mattress with an HD quality memory foam top comfort layer(I use a 3-inch memory foam topper so I can replace the Tempurpedic memory foam topper every 8-10 years) but that is your Best support/comfort option! PS, there are combination latex mattresses that are a all-in-one build with the memory foam included in the build but I find it's better to replace the memory foam topper every 3 to 5 years unless it's a Tempur-Pedic topper. I've tried all different brands, Tempur-Pedic lasts the longest, even high quality memory foam does not last as long as premium dunlop latex. A suggestion people, ask a chiropractor or your primary physician what type of mattresses they sleep on- a large majority of medical professionals will tell you latex mattresses, it's what my back surgeon sleeps on & suggests.

      I'm not sure I would say "squishy;" it would be good if you're "big all over" -- but if you have very pronounced butt or hips, it may not squish down enough. Thanks for watching!!!
