- @MerlinsOldSchoolGarage and @Yuccabillybrad are on a fun adventure today! You won't believe what they are picking up this time!
Thank you for watching. For merchandise please visit merlinsoldschoolgarage.com/
Merlin and Brad relying on the Kindness of strangers. Thanks, Summer, for giving them a ride .
Love meeting new people 😁
Up here in Washington State, no single woman would dare to pick up 2 dudes hitch hiking. And most of the time even two dude won't pick up a single woman hitch hiking.
Merlin I think that’s cool. I bet you get a million hits if you put air ride suspension and one of your hopped up vw engines 1.5 million hits with a Ls and disc brakes! Love it
Seattle WA is my home town. I moved to AZ a few years ago. I would never pick up a hitcher in WA. No need to stop in WA.Most breakdowns happen within walking distance of a gas station.
@@Ratcity69 Down HERE on the other hand...
Hitchhiking with a complete stranger, multiple breakdowns, literally to last mile and through it all you both laughed and had a good time lol. That's what makes road trips memorable. Congratulations on making it home!
59 minutes of laughter..!!! Thanks for another great Merlin adventure.!
What a crazy adventure! Thank you for sharing the fun!!!!!
That van and summer were sweet looking! Lol
Hippie Chicks just Rule!
Brad sure liked/ was smitten by her! What a smile!
Summer and the free candy van, there's a punchline in there
No Doubt you don't see to many classic Shaggin Wagons on the road these days around my parts anyway and with a girl driving LOL!!
We got no brakes but we need to advance the timing a bit so we can go faster sounds like merlin.
Thanks for the laugh guys. When that fender fell off I gust about spit my coffee out.
Another great adventure. Thanks for the lift Summer Love the spirit you brought with you and blessings to you.
I wonder if it will fit rail road tracks. . . .
Great video, thanks, Merlin.
Summer is awesome, and so is her van! Thanks Summer! Also, that Bugatti is basically an engine stand with wheels! What a machine
Hi Merlin. That place you stopped at is Vidal, not Earp. Wyatt Earp's cottage was very close to where you parked.
The intersection of CA 95 and Hwy 62 is Vidal Junction. Earp is towards Parker at the intersection where you turn to Parker (62 & 95).
Fun video. If you ever need a chase truck for adventures like this, give me a call. I am in Parker. Jim
thank you summer ... you are the best... would love too see you @ O.S.G. and marlin helping you with that cool van... love taking road trip's with y'all... fla out...
Another adventure with Merlin & Brad!!
Merlin, gas, grass or @ss. Nobody rides for free. I hope you at least sent her a t-shirt!😄
WE will see SUMMER AGAIN! BRAD AND MERLIN FOR THE WIN! LAZY DAYS AND THUMBS UP, ALSO NG COMES SUMMER AGAIN!
free candy as the van said
@@Mohawk21-oi1nino i e i served the i e tea in passenger side cup holder. She had no passenger. Maybe she dropped him off.
Damn, you have outdone yourselves this time. I thought some of your other adventures were borderline crazy. In my opinion this one takes the cake!! I was thinking about trying to buy this little gem from you, until you tried to turn the left rear fender into a ski! Wonderful adventure, glad you almost made it home without any major mishaps. Thanks for taking us along for the ride!
Need to get Mackay to put some dzus latches on the tailcone
my first thought was that it would be so cool for you guys to invite Summer to the shop and do a bunch of much needed repairs on her van.
Good idea hahaha
Men like you and Brad built thìs country. Great video Merlin, glad fender didn't cause more trouble. But it was funny
Merlin the Magician He can make anything to run. He pulls a rabbit out of his every time.
Even better the A-team van, "love it when a plan comes together ". Great content Merlin
Another fun adventure. You'll have the BUGatti running great in no time.
That lady's braver than most...picking up two dudes in the middle of nowhere. Good on ya Summer!
What a gem of find. Thanks for taking us subscriber's along for the ride. Good luck on the drive. 🙏🙏🙏🙏. 👍✌️🤙🤙😁😎🍀🍀🍀🍀🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲.
What a lovely way to start a Sunday. ....and postpone my swapping a transmission on a V12 Jag......on jack stands.....in the yard......oh, and im 57 today 😂😂😂
Damn! I would've had a hard time parting ways with summer! Lol
Merlon I think you’re the only one that could get this rig home from junkyard to Havasu. You’re amazing.
Hello from Alberta 🇨🇦 thank you for sharing your adventures! 😊
This is probably one of the coolest looking vw body kits I’ve ever seen amazing what they were able to do with the vw engine and trans tunnel. I wonder what the vw design team thought when they put those out back in the day if they was to see how many things they made out of there little cars
I bring up google maps on these travel videos to better understand the route and drive times involved. Looked like a fun trip!
Hubba hubba is the lady in the van, nice,I have one or two of these vans now too, one with windows and one with out, sommer, nice beautiful, thanks BigAl California.
It's Wednesday and I'm still laughing about the fender predicament and Merlin's reaction. Hilarious!!
Thanks Merlin, the laughter was very much needed! Love your show!
I love these type of adventures for sure. You definitely drag home some crazy contraptions. 👍👍
Oh man! I think that roadster was the same one we saw in 88 Shades RV Park in Quartzite when we stayed there a few years back. It had been sitting quite a while then.
This is the first time I've thought you picked up a "more guts than brains" project. I love it. A life without challenge and uncertainty is a waste of potential.
And it's never a matter of what could go wrong, it's what won't go wrong.
There are days when Murphy is considered an optimist 😂😂
Free Candy.
Such Good Vibes!!!
Thankyou Merlin you guys put a huge smile on my face from start to finish. When you ran over the fender i just lost it 🤣
If you want to go to Yuma you need to catch the 3:10😅
Merlin, you and Brad are such a hoot Keep it up. Everything is so great when you guys get together make me laugh.😂
You guys think up more ways to have fun........ Glad you made it. It was a blast. Thanks for the video.
You 2 are having too much fun, hilarious adventure and a pretty cool little ride, fender incident was hilarious
You two are something else! Hitch hiking to go pick up a car that you have no idea IF it runs??? Wow! Paul will be so proud! Lol
The crazy antics and adventures of Merlin and his sidekick Brad, oh ya and Summer their chauffeur to Quartzsite, she was sweet, what an awesome spirit she was, I had heard of these kits, i had never seen one until this morning and knew it was going to be an epic mechanical adventure, there isn't much the 2 of you don't fix, Merlin/Brad I almost 💩 when you ran over the fender and were laughing so hard i couldn't stop laughing for a good 3/4 minutes , and the no brakes, yeah no problem you 2 just take it in stride, no worries, you guys will have it fixed up a bit , just enough to make it drive and have more adventures and make more videos for us subscribers to ride along with and laugh our asses of again, and i'll watch each and every one of the videos ❤ the best
These "wing-in it" episodes are 45:32 working quite well Merl. You guys are having a gut busting time.
And are very entertaining!!
I hope you can continue being safe and within the statutes if you know what I mean 😁
Thanks for the very interesting
entertainment👍
You are having way too much fun!!!
The fender relocate was priceless!!!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
Merlin I’m supposed to be outside, painting the fox body mustang, got me in here watching this damn video and I love it! The way you yank the tail cone off and rip the fiberglass reminds me so much of myself. Back to the video. Have a good day my friend.
I absolutely love your adventurous spirit! One of the most enjoyable videos I’ve watched in a while. Merlin just takes everything in stride!
I had a smile on my face from start to end.
Thank you for the entertainment . 😎✌️
You should have a race with Emily and Aaron from Flying Sparks Garage. They have a similar Bugatti.
Way back in the day I lived in Dolan Springs and went to high school in Kingman. My grandparents were rock hounds and it seemed we were always going to quartzite for some rock show. It’s only now that I appreciate those days. Living in the desert as a teenager was absolutely the best.
As far as the you and the car…what could be better. Appreciate your show and your talent always interesting
The Fender Did in the Tire At least that is the story !!! Love it you cuys are Great So much Fun
Merlin & Brad, these road trips are becoming common place with you 2, a bit sketchy but you guys always make it, and make it fun too, thanks for sharing
I believe you make it back to Havasu. Halfway driving and you'll probably have to be towed, but I could be wrong and you drive the entire distance. That would be amazing. I like the vehicle
What a hoot, y'all seem to find ways to keep us in stitches! Sure hope you & Brad had as much fun as what you presented to us, with the latest episode of the MOSG! Looking forward to what the next adventure might be, & perhaps a bit more on your newest Hot Rod Bugatti, lol! Thanx !
Great video! Another great adventure! I don't think I've seen one of those before. I loved the part when the rear fender fell off and you hit the brake with the fender under the tire. Not to worry, the fender will buff out! LOL!! "Like it never happened"! LOL!! You and Brad seem to have a ton of fun together on these adventures. It's bucket-load of fun for us too. So thankful for you and your channel. I always learn something while laughing!!! :)
My Boss has one of those Bugatti's. His has a firewall but there is an access cut ontop of the body to access the gas tank and the rear they made the tail section removable from behind the rear seat. Awesome car to drive. Boss has never driven it but i have after working on it. Has had carb issues .. Also keep up the good work. Enjoy your escapades. 🤙
Summers van is one of the Coolest van that I've seen in a long time
Monterey car week her you come ! Windscreen and rims look authentic?! Maybe Rudge-Whitworth!
You should come up to the "NoB.S.OBS"show at the old tractor and machinery museum up in Brooks OR. In August. All Ford obs trucks from 97and back over 400 trucks. Great vendors and the museum grounds would blow your mind. Living motor exhibits and farm and heavy equipment. It will only be 90°!!!
Bugatti is a French company that was founded in 1909 by Ettore Bugatti. In the early days, the brand focused on race cars and street cars in Alsace. Ettore Bugatti left the company to his son, Jean Bugatti, and the brand pivoted to sports and touring vehicles. This set the stage for future success.
Merlin, thanks for sharing 👍 I've never laughed so hard in a long time. You guys sure suffered your drive home! 😅
The Benny Hill theme was in my head the whole trip lol. What a blast
You were close to Wyatt Erps actual house. It's at Desert Center. It's maintained and has a plaque in front
It is at Vidal, Not Desert Center. ruclips.net/video/4w92WGyfa9s/видео.htmlsi=LQebQTS-nhVphScn
Saw this in front of your house when my wife and I drove by last week. I thought " I have not seen this on a video" so good to see this! You both were having way too much fun!
According to Wikipedia, Parker Dam is a concrete arch-gravity dam that crosses the Colorado River 155 miles downstream of Hoover Dam. Built between 1934 and 1938 by the Bureau of Reclamation, it is 320 feet high, 235 feet of which are below the riverbed, making it the deepest dam in the world.
The Radiator is from the Original Bugatti Here's what I found on it The Bugatti Type 35B was introduced in 1927 and was the final iteration of the Type 35 series. The name Type 35TC was pondered since it shared the same 2.3 liter engine as the Type 35T and a supercharger just like the Type 35C. The engine produced an astonishing 138 horsepower, by far the most of the Type 35 series.
Merlin you are in a tow yard and the perfect place to ask someone who works there for a key to the gas cap. They might even have a universal fuel cap key. The lock out kits the tow truck drivers use to get into customers vehicles usually comes with a universal fuel cap key
I laughed so hard I woke up my wife in the next room, and spit coffee on my monitor-- Best show ever!!
Summer is a hottie with a sweet van!
Florida Man Cleetus McFarland will be envious of you with that Freedom Express. Would be a great pace car for his Freedom 500 at the original Freedom Factory in Florida.
Just sayin ….
Great video. I’m jealous of all that fun.
Priceless
Thanks Merlin, this is the most fun morning I've had for years ❤️
Like most little boys Merlin and Brad had no problem getting into a strangers van. It must have been the free candy window decal!
Love your Snow Bird comment about them being chased out by the temp. They leave hear for the same reason, abandoning us to the cold, damp, dark and snow and send us photos of their tans and T Shirts and come back when its good and easy again complaining about all the stuff we didn't accomplish while they were gone.
Great project. 1500 cc? Luxury. All you have to do is make it back to Havasu. I went to the Yukon and made it part way back in a VW window van with a 1200 cc motor and a load of horseshoes.
Great to see hippy van kindness still alive 👍 hitch hikers cross this great land
😂😂😂so funny... You guys are crazy😂😂 you both had me and my wife😂😂 crying....thanks for the laugh...😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉....JJ.,..
Taikuu Merlin, Brad. Ol Ren if he only knew how lucky he was, that he missed this trip, tho he'd of loved Summer and her ride.. What a trip..😅😅😂😂
Hey Summer was hot..... Nice ride
"Free Candy" too funny!
@48:38 you guys talking about having no brakes LOL , Not to worry the sand on the opposite side of the car you hit will eventually stop you.
You guys made me laugh harder than I have in a long time, the fender under the tire had me rolling! What an adventure! thank you for sharing!
Unbelievable Merlin. What a surprise! That van belonged to my best friend in Quartzsite who passed away about about 5 years ago. He had that van for many years.
Only 200 type 35 Bugattis were ever made. The last one that sold at auction went for $ 2,900,000. The only thing that Bugatti didn't hand craft in factory were the tires. The engine was built so well that no gaskets were needed anywhere in the engine.Top speed for a type 35 Bugatti was 125 MPH......in 1927. 0 to 60 in 6 seconds. It had an inline 8 cylinder water cooled front engine. It is an Italian car. That lever on the outside of the car was the ONLY brake. It was one of the most winning race cars of it's time. Over 1,000 wins and 47 world records. What you have is a cool kit car replica.
Merlin and Brad video is priceless!!!!!!!!
Summer took a chance picking up you characters, LOL. Great tour. Love the purchase
I almost lost this one to not wanting to watch an old P.O.S. GETTING fixed rollin down the road.... BUT YOU GOT ME GOIN, YOU REALLY GOT ME NOW........WATCHIN YOU GET AN OLD P.O.S. RUNNING AND HOME AGAIN.
Summer had a sweet van ! 💪👍🏼
Hahahaha ... what an adventure, gentlemen !!!
I suppose that those polyester bodies were sold as a kit to adapt to a VW-chassis.
Kind'a like this idea even if I'd prefer a Bugatti-ish body with some (old) engine in front instead of in the rear.
Putting some bags of sand over the front axle (under the hood) will, for sure, give this car a lot more stability. Probaly something about 60 up to 100kg.
Thanks for sharing. I really liked this vid!
Grts from Belgium.
And here we have it another cool MOSG adventure... Luv it... !
Amazing & most entertaining video I've seen in a long time. Ettore Bugatti (born in Italy), became a German & then French manufacturer (1909) of high performance autos; beauty & race victories. Your skill and expertise put life into it and got it going (Ettore long gone is smiling at you two).
Well Good morning everyone. Thanks Merlin for another video 😁 🔧🛠️🪛🔨 Just wanted to say Through all our life's struggles Jesus Christ is the answer ✝️🙏
Amen!!
the variety of content on this channel is amazing.thanks for sharing and taking us along
What a adventure! I was thinking that thing is shaped like a coffin, so they would just have to throw dirt over you in case of demise!!!
Cool Beans,love the car !!
Great adventure, thanks for taking us along
3:18 is summer looking for a two wheel friend
TWo friends having more fun than a day at an amusement park. Good fun and laughs.
That was was a fun video, pretty ballsy driving that thing home, great to see you guys hitch hiking,I used to do it all the time when I lived in Yellowstone
As usual another cool adventure with Merlin, great stuff .
I bet in the new world of electric cars , people wont stop to assist, what can you offer,a can of piwer , motorist with rhe older cars enjoyed the road side comardry, stranger's helping another
Wouldn't have missed your adventure for anything. Good show as always thank you kindly
Don't recall ever seeing merlin laugh so hard ! Great video! Think the misses needs this one
Merlin you opened up a can of worms when you got into the VW market for your birthday party. Once you get in the VW mode, it’s seeming like there’s no end to it.
Summer what a beautiful lady and a great thing she did for u 2 lol❤❤
