So that lyric "fight and run away" could either refer children getting away from and overprotective mother or a hare escaping a predator, depending on the context.
@PezFil1 that part could refer to the children getting away from their protective mother and exploring, a child doesn't really stay in a home forever unless the mother is that posessive

The song 'Harpy Hare' by Yaelokre is a poetic narrative that explores themes of protection, freedom, and the complexity of maternal relationships. The Harpy, depicted as a loving yet selfish mother, hides her heart and tries to shield her children from a dangerous world. However, this excessive protection becomes a prison, where the children, symbolized by broken arrows, struggle to escape and find their own freedom. The repetition of the question 'Where have you buried all your children?' suggests an ongoing search for answers and understanding, both for the Hare and the Harpy's children. The Hound, serving as the lyrical voice, positions himself as an active observer, trying to comprehend and perhaps intervene in this dynamic. He recognizes that the Harpy's protection, though well-intentioned, is stifling and counterproductive. The music, with its metaphors of broken arrows and sterile curtains, paints a picture of a love that, in its attempt to protect, ends up causing harm. @@pinkzep8500 I wouldn’t say that the hare is a villain because the lyrics of this song: “she can’t keep them all caged they will fight and run away.” Means that they’ll fight or run away from the dangers. “She can’t keep them all safe, they will die and be afraid, mother tell me you will stay” means that she cannot protect them all from the dangers of the world by herself. Overall the meaning of this song summarized is basically that she tried really hard to keep them safe, yet they still went and faced the world by themselves, hope this helped.
For those who don’t understand: The song “ happy hare” by yakelore is a song about a mom shielding her children from a unsafe world with predators looking for pray and trying to protect them when she says “burried all your children”does not mean they are dead the mom hid her children underground to try and keep them safe because she thought “ if they are underground nothing could happen they can’t get caught” and she said “where have you buried all your children” to symbolize the predators asking the mom where did she put the children so they could kill them “ tell me so I say” the predator says tell me and she says she responded with the no with the symbol of shaking her head however her children were still trying to find freedom under the ground👍
So true, there is so much meaning and thought put into the lyrics choice. I sincerely applaud the artist. Not only that but the tune of the song is also very catchy and easily gets stuck in your head. I have so much appreciation for this song❤ its truly a masterpiece
This song is about, a mother that is very protective of her children so she buried them underground to keep them safe and shield them from the dangerous outside world. But staying underground made it like a cage that they would never escape from, the song says “ She can’t keep them all caged they will fight and run away” the it says “ She can’t keep them all safe they will die and be afraid”, both of those lines in the song indicate how they wanted to be free so badly, and she couldn’t keep them down there much longer, now maker how much she thought the outside world was dangerous with predators and other deadly hazards Hope this helped! ❤️
It means a mother rabbit or hare buries her children in the ground to protect them (they actually do sometimes), yet the danger still manages to find the kids, pointing to the lyrics "Harpy hare, where have you buried all your children?" And "Tell me so I say" is a way of demanding something, so whatever is dangerous isn't just asking where the babies are. And the other lyrics in this part of the song are talking about how the children will escape and run or that the mother won't be able to protect her kids and that they will die. Hope this helps! Please like, I did this with no research, only memory of the song and some fun facts from my biography book :D
The song explores the theme of overprotective parents trying to shield their children from harm, but ultimately facing the consequences of their actions. The lyrics delve into the complexities of maternal relationships and the balance between protection and freedom.

I really enjoy seeing all of the different theories and interpretations of this song. I think it’s possible the song could be about a lot of different things. But I also think it’s important to factor in the intentions of the artist. Yaelokre has mentioned that their songs are tied to a story they’ve written. It’s a fantasy story that takes place in a world called Meadowlark. The main characters in the story are a band of children called The Lark. The members of The Lark are Cole, Clementine, Kingsley, and Perrine. There are also a group of important figures called The Harkers, consisting of The Storyteller, The Bellringer, The Enkindled, and The Croon. The Harkers serve kind of as mythological or almost diety-like figures, each representing something different. The Storyteller is meant to embody the spirit of storytelling, the magic and whimsy of childhood fairytales, the immortal but also ever-changing nature of stories that are repeated over and over through time, among many other things. Yaelokre themself often dresses up as The Storyteller (who looks like a scarecrow) when they perform, serving as the narrator for their performances. The Croon is a much more ominous presence. Not necessarily evil, but ominous. They embody entropy and apathy, the nature of things to get old, die, fade away, and be forgotten. Unfortunately, I don’t know much about the other 2 Harkers yet. But with all of that said, the important thing to remember here is that Yaelokre’s music tells the story (lore) of the fictional world of Meadowlark. But stories are also told within this story. The Lark are a band of essentially, young storytellers. And one of the stories that they often sing about is “The story of the Harpy and the Hare”. Obviously “Harpy Hare” mentions it, but so do the songs “The Hound” and “Heartebeast”. In a piece of writing, Yealokre explained that The Story of the Harpy and The Hare is about a ruler (queen) who once ruled over a kingdom of immortal people until one day she made a terrible mistake. She was foolish and didn’t listen to warnings that the Croon was coming, and would take her immortality away. And so the Croon came, and the queen and her people tried to fight him, but they lost. And their punishment was becoming mortal. In my personal opinion though, this story has a bittersweet ending. Stories are still told about the queen, her people, their kingdom, and the battle they fought. It is meant to symbolize how even when people die, stories have the power to carry on their legacy, giving them a different kind of immortality. The queen is symbolized as The Harpy or The mother. Her subjects are symbolized as Rabbits. And in a different piece of writing, Yaelokre mentioned the Storyteller can shapeshift, and often takes the form of a hare (this is why Cole wears a hare mask). So I believe that the Harpy is the queen, and the Hare is the Storyteller. In the song “Harpy Hare” the children of The Lark are calling upon the queen and the Storyteller to tell them the story of how the Croon came and took their immortality away. The repeated line “tell me so I say” is meant as “tell me so that I can retell the story”. And the message in all of this, again, is that people live on as long as their stories are repeated and passed down through generations. The Croon can never truly win as long as stories are retold again and again. As a final note, Yaelokre has said this song is meant to be like a nursery rhyme that the children of meadowlark sing, often not realizing it’s true gravity, since it happened so long ago. The Croon is still out there, and the children of Meadowlark still need to use their stories and their songs to fight against entropy, so that Meadowlark itself does not fade away. You as the audience have a role to play too. If you sing these songs and learn these stories, you too are helping to keep Meadowlark and it’s history from being forgotten. And this is the true genius of Yaelokre. They’re not just a musician. They’re a talented storyteller who has created an extremely engaging world that is essentially all about the importance of telling and retelling stories.
it’s about a loving yet selfish mother who hides her feelings and tries to protect her children from the world that can be so dangerous. The kids are represented by broken arrows which is a lyric in the song and it basically says that while she try’s to “protect them” they go off anyway cause the “protecting” was more of her just keeping them from the world and isolating them. in the song it says “ they will die and be afraid” at a point so i think that’s her telling herself things so she can protect them
Context: this song is about a mother who hides her children to quote on quote "protect them". But keeping them away for a long time made them want to escape and teach the mother that protection comes from Freedom. Not Confinement (something like that)
So explanation : The hare has buried its children in the ground to save them from predators so when it says tell me so I say and it don’t say anything that is because I think the animal that asks where are it’s children is the predator so the hare doesn’t say anything to prevent the babies from dying. Anyway hope you understand,my fingers are dead but yahh :)(this is what I think it is it might not be exactly right but yah)
For anyone wondering The song 'Harpy Hare' by Yaelokre is a poetic narrative that explores themes of protection, freedom, and the complexity of maternal relationships. The Harpy, depicted as a loving yet selfish mother, hides her heart and tries to shield her children from a dangerous world. However, this excessive protection becomes a prison, where the children, symbolized by broken arrows, struggle to escape and find their own freedom. The Hare, who refuses to retell the story, represents a silent and patient witness. She observes the dynamics between the Harpy and her children, understanding the pain and desire for freedom that permeate this relationship. The final message is an appeal to the Harpy to allow her children to fly freely, accepting that true protection comes from freedom rather than confinement.

This song is about an overprotective mother shielding her children from the world in an attempt to protect them, but she actually hurts them by locking them up and not allowing them to learn and thrive :(
It says harpy hare where have you buried all ur children? Hares/rabbits hide their children underground and the hare/rabbit forgot where they hid its children(I think idk for sure that’s what someone told me)
I used to believe the song had a dark meaning as if the children have already died and the mother has buried them in remembrance. After listening to the song more, science and nature actually intertwine with the lyrics. “Buried all her children refers to rabbits, bunnies burrow underground and yet hares don’t burrow they do leave the children underground sometimes when they have to leave under ground to protect them from predators. The children are “buried” underground as in at home and safe. The reason behind is to keep them safe and doesn’t want them to die. If you listen closely to the full song you can hear the struggle of raising children and trying to keep them all safe as the song says “mother you can’t keep them all safe they’ll die and be afraid” wich can show if the go out they could get extremely frightened and go into fright or flight mode and will most likely get attacked by a predator so keeping them inside is the best option. Another quote that proves this point is “You can’t keep them all caged they will fight and run away” emphasis the struggles of being a mother. It may seem to the children that there mum is being “unfair” and “boring” yet all she is really trying to do is protect them. Overall the song is very poetic and has a deep meaning while still being one of my favourite songs. Sorry that’s was so long not expecting anyone to read the whole thing. I got carried away I feel like I just wrote a whole essay 😅❤. Thanks x
The song represents the mother, or "harpy hare" to bury her children into the ground to prevent them from getting attacked/caught or hurt. The harpy hare's children feel, once they're buried, that they have no free will, they are not able to be free again. The song uses the metaphors about broken arrows fleeing, "bum and broken" because they've been hidden for so long, finally being able to come out of the ground from hiding.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for randomly introducing this masterpiece of a band. This is the kind of music I didn’t know I was looking for, but I love it 😅
i am too, i’ve been listening to them for months, but i’m worried it’ll become overplayed and end up as one of those content farming songs and be EVERYWHERE. i can imagine Yaelokre’s overwhelm after they deleted the discord 😭
For those who don't know a caring but selfish Mother Protecting her children but refused to let them see the real world so the children feel like they are in a prison this story tells that Protection comes from freedom not from confinement
It’s supposed to describe a overprotective mother, the harpy is known for being a greedy mother, wanting more than she can have, “Where have you buried all your children” means the children aren’t aware of the world and have many unanswered questions. I’m not completely sure what the hare does.
the mothers name is “harpy”, and she’s trying to “save” her children, by burying them underground, when they say “where have you buried all your children?” the children are dead and the person is trying to save them, but the hare is trying to keep the secret of where they are.
Fun fact i heard from another comment about this song from another video: Apparently this song is actually true! Hares supposedly bury their children to protect them, but make air holes or something like that for them to breathe!

I understood the meaning of this song like after the 3rd time I listened to it 😭 I thought the "you can't keep them all caged they will fight and run away" was very clear but we all have different interpretations at different times so that's alrightt
For people who don’t know, the song is about a mother who is very selfish and is keeping her kids from the world. The song is based about the kids telling their mom that they want to go outside and keep them inside. Will not make it better at the end they are begging their mother and then I don’t know what else happens.😢😢(hope this helps you!🎉)
GUYS. IT IS BOT THAT DEEP. Harpy Hair is the name of character. He had a group and they used to go around the world singing song and telling stories. Then all of them disappeared . No one was interested. Some time later a kid forms a group with the same concept inspired by Harpy hair. They are performing songs. This one is about stories that haven’t been told yet by Harpy hair’s group. So the question: “Where have you buried all of your children?…”- literally meaning “where we can find your untold stories so we can sing about them?”
Harpy hare isn’t the name of a character. Rather it refers to two characters in a story that the four kids are singing about that originated from four other characters.
This song is about a mother who wants to protect her children from the world so she buried them under ground for protection but under ground the children thought it was like a cage so that’s why the lyrics say “you can’t keep them all caged they will fight and run away” and then it said “she can’t keep them all caged they will die and be afraid mother tell me so I say” they said that bc it was meaning that the children wanted to be free so there was no more doing that because all children can’t be caged just because of the outside world. ❤

Overall the meaning of this song summarized is basically that she tried really hard to keep them safe, yet they still went and faced the world by themselves, hope this helped.

The fact that this song is fire
For those who don’t understand:
The song “ happy hare” by yakelore is a song about a mom shielding her children from a unsafe world with predators looking for pray and trying to protect them when she says “burried all your children”does not mean they are dead the mom hid her children underground to try and keep them safe because she thought “ if they are underground nothing could happen they can’t get caught” and she said “where have you buried all your children” to symbolize the predators asking the mom where did she put the children so they could kill them “ tell me so I say” the predator says tell me and she says she responded with the no with the symbol of shaking her head however her children were still trying to find freedom under the ground👍

The One Of Most, Truly Calm Music
Yaelokre my beloved
This song is about, a mother that is very protective of her children so she buried them underground to keep them safe and shield them from the dangerous outside world. But staying underground made it like a cage that they would never escape from, the song says “ She can’t keep them all caged they will fight and run away” the it says “ She can’t keep them all safe they will die and be afraid”, both of those lines in the song indicate how they wanted to be free so badly, and she couldn’t keep them down there much longer, now maker how much she thought the outside world was dangerous with predators and other deadly hazards
Hope this helped!

The hare has buried its children in the ground to save them from predators so when it says tell me so I say and it don’t say anything that is because I think the animal that asks where are it’s children is the predator so the hare doesn’t say anything to prevent the babies from dying.

For anyone wondering
The song 'Harpy Hare' by Yaelokre is a poetic narrative that explores themes of protection, freedom, and the complexity of maternal relationships. The Harpy, depicted as a loving yet selfish mother, hides her heart and tries to shield her children from a dangerous world. However, this excessive protection becomes a prison, where the children, symbolized by broken arrows, struggle to escape and find their own freedom.
The Hare, who refuses to retell the story, represents a silent and patient witness. She observes the dynamics between the Harpy and her children, understanding the pain and desire for freedom that permeate this relationship.
The final message is an appeal to the Harpy to allow her children to fly freely, accepting that true protection comes from freedom rather than confinement.

It says harpy hare where have you buried all ur children? Hares/rabbits hide their children underground and the hare/rabbit forgot where they hid its children(I think idk for sure that’s what someone told me)
I think rabbits/hares hide their children underground too,but is to protect them
@@minhhereyes
@@minhherebasically it represents an overprotective mother not letting her children explore.
Thanks x

Bro this song is fire! 🔥🔥
It’s only a matter of time before this song reaches 1 million remixes
The song represents the mother, or "harpy hare" to bury her children into the ground to prevent them from getting attacked/caught or hurt. The harpy hare's children feel, once they're buried, that they have no free will, they are not able to be free again. The song uses the metaphors about broken arrows fleeing, "bum and broken" because they've been hidden for so long, finally being able to come out of the ground from hiding.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for randomly introducing this masterpiece of a band. This is the kind of music I didn’t know I was looking for, but I love it 😅

@@AGoofyJesterty for explaining
Ty for explaining
This song is about a mother who wants to protect her children from the world so she buried them under ground for protection but under ground the children thought it was like a cage so that’s why the lyrics say “you can’t keep them all caged they will fight and run away” and then it said “she can’t keep them all caged they will die and be afraid mother tell me so I say” they said that bc it was meaning that the children wanted to be free so there was no more doing that because all children can’t be caged just because of the outside world. ❤
