honestly the specs are already great for z flip so despite that these foldable phones might not be for me, i kinda wanted it... must resist and wait for the next... 😂 thanks for this video!!
I tend to prefer the RAZR over the Flip. Though being a loyal Samsung user. For daily use I really like the asymmetric design, no brainer to take out of the pocket and open without thinking how. It is just more logic due to feel. Also flat side bezel gives a better feel than the raised one on the flip. Raising screen doesn't have to be a problem. Allowing easy cleaning with some compressed air. External screen is great. Eliminating the need to open and activate main screen. Great as it is more anonymous during meetings or social gatherings. And surely make battery last longer. I just want to see a naked RAZR. All extra accessories can be added at will. Higher specs in comparison can be correct but are only seen in direct comparisons and differences will fade within a year or 2. RAZR 5G camera has made big improvements.. Sadly I miss wireless charging. An additional piggy back charger without cable hassle would be great. And just dropping it into a Qi pad at home, office or car will keep it powered. And with streaming, 5G and cloud plus eSIM. I feel no need for space occupying slot. Just skip it for battery or Qi. And it's my phone of choice. Sadly price is just too high.
Honestly, i felt sad when I heard more bad comments for Moto Razr 2019. It really set the nostalgia feels for phones again but what can I say, you guys are the experts! Thanks Michael Josh. 😂
Two positive reviews from actual owners of the critically-panned Motorola Razr... *Fantastic* *Design* *With* *A* *Few* *Caveats* 🌟🌟🌟🌟 2 weeks ago I was attracted to the device by the design and it hasn't disappointed. You could tell right away by the packaging and accessories that Motorola has paid great attention to detail with the new Razr. The phone not only looks great but setup was the easiest I've ever experienced. Although the specs for the phone are far from cutting edge, I found the device to be very responsive and free from any delays. I did purchase the matching Otter Box case and would highly recommend adding as it not only protects this significant investment but also provides a more solid feel for the device. I'm also enjoying the *external* *display* *screen* as it does have some nice features. Hopefully future updates will add more features here. The only drawbacks I've found so far would be some minor concerns about the main screen. When I open and close the phone I do hear some noise but it's not a huge deal. Also, I have noticed some bubbles and bumps on the main screen and I'm slightly concerned about the long term durability of the main screen as a whole. It just doesn't feel 100% sturdy when I'm using the main screen. The touch screen is responsive, it just has a shallower feel than other phones I've had. I have to believe it's the plastic used. All in all, I'm so excited to have a flip phone design that also has the features of a full size device. And given that the new Samsung Flip will not have a functional external screen, I feel I made the right choice with the Razr's superior design, additional flexibility with the external screen and solid performance. Bengals160 · Reviewed on vzw.com _ *Stunning* *achievement* *by* *Motorola* 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 2 weeks ago Purchased directly from Motorola and have had device for six days now. The form factor is incredible. Imagine a smartphone with a 6.2 inch screen, that folds into something about half the size of any smartphone today. It's stunning. The outer display and Moto's software let you interact with notifications without opening the phone. Moto Peek is the best notification software on any smartphone, anywhere - that has been the case since the original Moto X and still stands true today. With a folding phone, it really shines - the upcoming Galaxy Flip you'll have to open 30-50X more per day, to see what you need to. The call quality is excellent and the speakerphone is loud. The plastic screen is sharp and I want to address both lumps and noise. It's a folding. Plastic. Screen. Try scrunching a plastic soda bottle. Or crinkle a plastic bag. It's a folding plastic screen people - it will make sounds, it will have slight lumps where the steel plates appear underneath - it's normal, and it's to be expected in a phone with a plastic screen. Motorola worked hard to get it right, and they did. The hinge permits a flat fold. Try that on any Galaxy product. Twist to launch the camera. Chop to activate the flashlight. I had the same experience! In 2017, I pre-ordered the moto Z2018, and Motorola shipped it to me one day before the official launch day. And, as a ex Motorola fan, I had been using Motorola from V3 to Z 2018, moto's camera was hardly good it's bad actually. But in the video, the new RAZR's photo can't be called great in the industry, but it is pretty much better than the old time Motorola photo performance.
Great comparison. I think the Z Flip is worth the money whereas the Moto is not. I also just published my review of the Galaxy Z Flip on my channel. Have a look 😊

I've been scouring all over RUclips with the Razr vs Z Flip comparisons, and the Razr is getting bashed by RUclipsrs. For what? Specs? Price? To me, Razr seems more usable with the external display and shortcuts. Z Flip is slippery, a fingerprint magnet, and we need to keep opening the phone which kills more time to get things done. But you know what? I don't mind the slander. I get it. The Z Flip is better but people make it seem like the Razr is like driving a Pinto and Z Flip is a Mercedes. 🤦🏻♂️ I prefer if Motorola Razr does get slandered. For all we know, Samsung is paying these people to be negative. And here's the main reason why.. Price drop! The Razr can be ridiculed so much and become a flop in sales, we can get an immediate price drop. The irony is that Motorola doesn't really offer expensive phones. They've dominated the mid-range market with their Moto G line. Even their flagships aren't that expensive. Yet, the new Razr which is under spec'd is the more expensive of the two foldable flip phones. We also want to see Motorola do better. So by criticizing them and the Razr being a sales flop, they can see what they did wrong. They now know what a good foldable flip phone can be with the Z Flip being there. But I love what Motorola did right with Razr which is still few and far between. They were a few but they were truly right with those aspects. Again, I can live with the bad camera if I barely use my Pixel 3 to take photos. I remember my Pixel 3 being bashed like crazy in 2018 and it's my favorite smartphone of all-time. The battery life isn't that bad if set to night mode alot. The LG G5 was also universally slammed in 2016 and I love that too. My top 3 favorite phones of all-time are the Google Pixel 3, Essential Phone, and LG G5. All were bashed when first released and l love them all. I've been hardcore about phones since the year the original RAZR was released. I prefer the underdog brands. Look at my avatar. Obvious. 😎 I like Google, Essential, LG, Motorola, Nokia, HTC, and Sony over the more popular Apple and Samsung phones. So everyone, keep bashing the Razr. I want the new Razr 10 out of 10 if it's a third of the price of the Z Flip. Years later, we'll say how underrated the 2020 Motorola Razr really was like what happened to the LG G5, Essential Phone, Sony PS Vita, Sega Dreamcast, and Nintendo GameCube & Wii U after they flopped in sales. The Flip is superior in every way except that outer screen, which could be bigger, at least smart watch big. But now we have the Duo... Man this is so hard. I like that the duo is like a tiny laptop, two finger typing on the road, but the new Flip again beats all other specs. I have not decided. Are you doing a Duo vid?

Really sad to hear the issues with the razr. The one thing I want from a flip phone is a satisfying one handed flip open/closed and it seems like they've put a lot of effort into that, but sadly the sketchiness of the screen and junk getting stuck in the edges sounds like a deal breaker.
For the better closed screen I'd go for the Razor but the price is at least $1,000 to much with both phones have PLASTIC screens and the Z Flip having glass under the PERMANENT plastic screen.
