Today, I'll share my opinion on the DataCamp Data Analyst Certification, and whether it's worth getting. It depends on who you are, and a few different factors.

DataCamp Data Analyst Certification:

I started off as a complete beginner and just earned my Data Analyst Associate Certifícate with DataCamp this past week! I’ve been very happy w/ my experience and am currently a quarter of the way through the course to earn the Professional certificate with Python. I’m putting together my resume and my portfolio now and hopefully I’ll have some good news about a job soon. Thanks, Lukas, for your informative videos.
Thank you for the kind words. Good luck!!
Any updates broo ???
Hi there, I'.m looking forward to advance into Data analytics with python. Which should certification should i go for.. DA certification with DataCamp (or) IBM Data Analyst with Coursera. Kindly, suggest with any reference or experience.
Where did you find the projects for your portfolio? I'm also on the same track. I need to work on building my portfolio because every job posting requires an experience or portfolio.
any update?? I got my professional certificate but I sill struggling to land a job😢
It's way better than what the coursera offers imo. More technical concepts, no off-topic stuff, more tests/practices, harder final tests (I actually failed)
Me too I feel like data camp data analytics course is better than coursera. For data camp after each lesson you are forced to code while coursera looks like more of theory less practical's. But I haven't taken the coursera course
Thanks Lukas ✌🏼
First of all, thanks for all the videos you've been uploading about data analysis. I'm tried to get a job in this role and some of them have really come in handy in order to clear some doubts on whether study some language or another, enroll for the IBM/ Google completion certificates or not,... In one moment of the video, you compare the learning way of the Datacamp course similar to the one of Codecademy. Since Codecademy does have two carrer paths in the matter (BI Data Analyst) and Data Scientist: Analytics Specialist), I would love to see what's your take in those and if they are worth taking or even a better option than the one in Datacamp platform. Again, aprecciate all the content you've been making this far. Keep it up!
Thanks for your comments! I wish you could evaluate the DataCamp projects.
I am currently in the middle of this and it is by FAR my favorite one.
what courses did you take?
@@user-cb7hq1lb8e Data analyst course. Its more hands on than coursera and they drilled u with hands on things right after the videos and ease you into it
@@xTKxPrecision When you talk about the coursera course you are essentially talking about the new advance data analyst course right?
What do you think about the 365 Data Science course in comparison to the others?
I've completed the Data Scientist Professional certificate from Datacamp on September 2022. Still waiting for a job in the industry. Just my POV.
IMHO certs are not enough to get a job. Also it depends on where do you live. But lots of people want to became a data analyst nowdays so to get a job you need relevant job experience
Agree with you. It's all about what you do after the cert, most certs are only useful for learning
Thanks for sharing, Luis. As you continue on in this season, I’d be curious to hear what projects you’ve done or maybe independent contracted projects you’ve tried to gain experience. Keep the faith!
@@swooz7746 Also projects on portfolio imho are not so relevant, atleast where I live. My thought is that recruiter if they don't see any relevant job experience they don't even take you on consideration or further inspect anything else. Sure you can pinpoint projects directly in to the resume but the only way in my opinion is to fake the job experience
@@DiversamenteAbili yeah, I realize a certificate and a portfolio of projects are not going to magically equal a job. Sad, but true. I am trying to figure out some ways to get some kind of real job experience. I would love any suggestions. Not sure what you mean by “fake” experience though.
Is python or R a personal preference for data analysts? Or should one stick to Python?
I am International. I got my Datacamp DA professional cert in August 2022. Despite it did not get me a job right away, it allowed me to get a into a trainee program in November 2022. Also it allowed me to get accepted to a more specialized bootcamp. Unfortunately, the Datacamp job opportunities are only for residents in Canada, USA or Europe only.

So you didn’t learn enough skills in data camp?
datacamp or google courses? like, what kind of diploma give you more recognition?
siiickkk, do you think this one or the google basic cert is better for first cert?
Try which style you prefer
(in my personal experience) i have done 6/8 courses from the google certificate and i simply can't keep going, i just feel like i am not learning, bc they put so much effort in teaching general stuff and then don't really dive deep in the tools a data analyst really have to use, the tableau/SQL section felt like nothing so i always have to complement the course with other resources.
I haven't tried the advanced certificate tho, that might be better since they teach python and statistics, and it's supposedly harder
Lukas im thinking on taking your course but i m not american, is it still helpful?
If you mean the program, yes definitely. As long as remote jobs exist in your location. It's still in the early stages tho and not "officially" launched but we would welcome you in already!
Dear i joined this data camp but for data literecy program , i find its dump and not straight to the point and waste lots of your time , how did you review that its the best and world ranking or becaue many review in youtube just for marketing can you brother explaing why its best compare to udemy and other striaght to the point and its certified by data camp not know analatics companies such ibm or oracle or mango or ani other , thanks dear
How long does the course take to complete?
It took me 3 months for DA with Python + 3 weeks SQL Fundamentals.
I studied 2-3 hours a day almost every day.
You can try do it faster if you can
is alex the analyst a good way to start?
He's a great guy!
@@learnwithlukas about the course?
I haven't taken any of his courses. I'm sure they're good tho.
After completing both DA certs at DataCamp I strongly disagree on it's credibility. Those certs can be completed almost entirely by using chat GPT. How is this credible?
