Thank you Keith! I have everything i need to build my wishing well. I have watched your video many times. It was wonderful and i'm looking forward to building my wishing well planter which will go over an ugly tree stump!! Thanks
Great idea if you can find one, and it if's the right size! Although it's not like you could borrow one from the nearby street corner... probably easier to draw one in a couple of minutes, any size you want.
Hello Sara. Since it's you asking, I'll say yes. :-) This will be a peek into how an Engineer (at least this Engineer) does a duplication project like this. Just enough info, but you'll have to puzzle through the assembly a bit. Remember I had the old one sitting there, so angles and such things were transferred over. But the measurements are here. The second page lays out the data much more clearly than the first page, and can be used as a cut plan. As I recall it was all correct, and the order fully built the wishing well. You can download the 3 page PDF at this link: cardinalinspections.com/youtube/Wishing_Well_plan_and_details.pdf
It is a bit heavy, but should be to hold it down on windy days. This isn't something you cart around.. and Grandma would want to have a little help. A hand cart does the job fine.
For the base? That is an interesting thought. It would have to be a 30 degree angle, and would require longer blocks to fill the space. It would have a much different look. I was going for an exact replacement for what I had, with the benefit of requiring much less alignment accuracy.
I could have my daughter help me, but then it would be in Japanese, or Korean. Seems like English is about as close as we can get to being the language for everyone!

I guess it's kinda randomly asking but does anybody know of a good place to stream newly released series online ?
@Riley Easton flixportal :P
@Elian Christian thanks, signed up and it seems to work :) Appreciate it!!
@Riley Easton No problem :D
great work sir well done
Awesome video, learned a lot from it. Thank you for sharing.
I would add more wood to the roof to keep move of the water out, use some Thompson's water seal. Great job !
Problem is, most folks would want to park a flower pot in the wooden bucket, so letting in some water is a good thing!
awesome cardboard template technique
That's why they call it CAD, right? Cardboard Aided Design.
your A BIG Help thank you
Thanks for the video... How about using a Stop Sign for measuring?
Great idea if you can find one, and it if's the right size! Although it's not like you could borrow one from the nearby street corner... probably easier to draw one in a couple of minutes, any size you want.
Thank you for this video !!

THANK YOU YOUR AWESOME
Do you have all of the schematics/measurements for the whole thing by chance?

I was inspired to add some photos to the data. The new link for this information is: cardinalinspections.com/youtube/WishingWell/
How many cedars boards are needed to build that size wishing well ?
Thank you
It's beautiful
Thanks! I built a web page with those details, you can see it in the description or click this link: cardinalinspections.com/youtube/WishingWell/
lol, I figured it out 😉
What's it's weight? Looks heavy.. will Grandma be able to move it about the yard?
It is a bit heavy, but should be to hold it down on windy days. This isn't something you cart around.. and Grandma would want to have a little help. A hand cart does the job fine.
Should have 45 the ends so they marry together.
So there's not a gap between the ends.
That's how I build mine.
And it looks alot cleaner.

Are the last pieces are 12 inch too?
I'm not sure which pieces you are referring to. I put some details on a web page at this link: cardinalinspections.com/youtube/WishingWell/
How depp is it?
There are details on the web page, I provided a link in the description... scroll down!

Говори по русски. Не хрена не понял.
Если бы я только мог! Я думаю, вам нужно будет просто смотреть и учиться.
