Bought two Model 12s a few years ago for less than 400 bucks for both. Very strong and cool guns! Gave one to my kid, and we use them for hunting. Not a single issue with them.
My first love affair with guns involves a youth 20ga just over 30 years ago so I hold a special place in my heart for shotguns thanks for another great video
Lots of Use In The Pacific And Jungles Of Vietnam I’ve Got a Couple Model 12’s Not These Versions Just Commercial Models 1946 And 1948 In 12 Gauge And There Both Takedowns 😊😊😊 No Finer Hand Fit Shotgun Than a Model 12 Winchester Misha 😊😊😊😎
I saw an older 870 Wingmaster riotgun today with rifled sights. It was priced at $600.00 tax not included. Way to rich for my blood. I figure a hunting shotgun will be just fine for defending myself if the need arises. Still having trouble finding a shorter barrel because Remington I guess isn't making them anymore.
@@patricksullivan2816 Remington did a Police Magnum with 20" barrel, rifle sights, 7+1 tube, and parkerized finish. I always kind of liked that OEM configuration. Reminded me of the Navy M870 Mark I.
@@misha5670 not a bad choice sir. Either will do for me! My first 870 was a police magnum with an 18 inch parkerized barrel with a bead sight and wood furniture. I think it was 4+1 capacity but I might be wrong. I put on a tac-star side saddle that held 6 additional rounds. At one point I added an +2 extension tube but it threw off the balance to me so I took it off and brought it back to its old configuration. What do you think of the newer 870 retro police magnums they put out before they filed for bankruptcy?
@@patricksullivan2816 mine was the 18" with a bead and wood. It probably predates the Police Mag, as it's marked "Wingmaster" but with the grooved forearm.
@@patricksullivan2816 Probably sold upwards of 1,000 newer production 870s through the store before they went under. I can recall maybe 4 or 5 defects overall, with most of those just being cosmetic.

Just bought my first model 12. 1939 takedown model. I'll be cutting it down to 18.5 inches and it will stay by my bed. I'm security forces and have extensive training with the 870. This gun is superior in every way. Which is insane considering the age difference and technology used.

I have the field version in 12, 16, and 20ga ranging from 1925-1945
Great video , keep'em comin !! Thanks
Misha how much it cost? Thanks
I got it from a friend.
We had the Model 12 or 1200 with the long bayonet at Fort Bragg in the early 80s. 82nd Airborne.
Most interesting video. Thanks again 👍 😎
Anyone know where to get a repro stock? Or sling swivel?
Enjoyed your representations.
Haha, I always attributed the "trench gun" to the Model 12 because it was featured in Medal of Honor: Allied Assault.
great game!
Here's one for your radar:
M1200, introduced for Vietnam, around 1967.
A Shotgun loaded with #2 buckshot is still the most formidable close range weapon on the planet..
Negative, the most dangerous weapon at close range is a gas station berito after an hour or so.
Misha. Can you please make a video why CZ bought Colt but we have not seen one iota of Colt salad days?
Sorry but 'salad days'? My brain must be slow today as i don't understand heh.
My favourite gun in medal of honor allied assault
Its beautiful
I went with the 870 Wingmaster Riot for my retro shotgun.

Are all pump shotguns banned? or just militarized ones?
