I love your facial reactions. They’re refreshing as it’s genuine and a person can truly see your enjoyment and appreciation of the music and talent that is displayed.
Mitch’s vocal athleticism is always amazing and entertaining, but when he sings in his lower range, to me, is when his voice is truly truly BEAUTIFUL...maybe the prettiest I’ve EVER heard!!!
Yeah, the studio albums are SO processed and constructed by the sound engineer, it’s good to hear a more natural sound, where we can see that yes, they truly are a great group of extremely talented singers.
@@rocksolidreactions3901 I know you don't, that's what makes it so great! It's all the "omghowcananythingsoundthisfreakingamazinginmyears" that all of us Pentaholics are feeling, too!
You look like you've been sent to heaven and are listening to the angels sing. And because of the acoustics of where they are singing, they didn't need a microphone. Plus, this video is the official PTX video.
Kevin was the very high Ooooo sound in the background. Gorgeous. I adore Avi's lullaby tone. He can be so powerful with his deep voice, and yet here he is absolutely gentle. Plus I love how reverent he looks singing this.
Thank you for another heartfelt reaction. Your expressions are priceless. I would love to see you react to Avi and Peter Hollens version of Black is the Color or my True Love's Hair. Your jaw will hit the floor - it's beautiful.
I think the emotion that comes across the screen from you is Giddy. So happy and enjoying something so much that you can't help but laugh. I really don't know, but I always thought this one did have the natural sound of the stone walls surrounding them. You have to wonder how much walking around in that church they did to find that one sweet spot acoustically. My lights outside are all deep blue... Love the calmness of them.
This was filmed in the North aisle of First Congregational Church in Los Angeles. I am sure they selected the side aisle for the acoustics because the main Church has ceilings of about 75-85 feet. This church also boasts the largest Pipe organ in a Church in the USA. If you like Mitche's high notes, I would recommend his and Scott's version of Defying Gravity on their site SuperFruit. A bit of a camp, but worth a listen.
I love the beautiful and unusual low harmony voiced by Avi in the second verse. Kevin's voice add richness to the voices of the trio and the whole thing is unique and sooo gorgeous. Thanks for covering this one - I would also suggest any (okay, all) of my three other favorites - Oh, Come, All Ye Faithful, White Winter Hymnal and Where are You Christmas (with Matt). Or, heck, any of their Christmas stuff, I guess...
i dont mean to be so off topic but does anybody know a method to get back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly forgot my password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me.
@Garrett Bowen Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.

My family grew up with a real tree in the family room with colored lights and the traditional homemade and childhood ornaments, in the living room was an artificial tree with white lights and a Victoria style tree! Clear, gold, cream ornaments bows and decorative packages and stuffed animals etc. Then she has a smaller artificial tree in my dad's office with colored lights and all the Craftsman tools ornaments you can think of because my dad was a District Manager/Store Manager for Sears for 30yrs until he passed away in 2000! Outside was always white/clear lights very simple with a nativity scene! It was all so beautiful and cozy! Our family has an Artificial Tree with about 300 ornaments from antique glass bulb ornaments, cracker barrel clay ornaments, craftsman ornaments, bubble lights Disney/Charley brown/Rudolph/starwars/ and any character ornaments you can think of it's very eclectic and if course our children's homemade ornaments and candy canes! And Twinkle Lights are a must! As for outside we have everything from blowups to colored and white lights!
To use your words: They knocked I out of the church ❤️ It's pure perfection. They are amazing and Avi killed it. Love your little observation about Scott and Avi. I'm sure it's appreciatin from Scott as I'm sure he was surprised by him too. The album version is similar to the live version but Avi put even more into it here.
The acoustics in this are INSANE! This is one of the most beautiful renditions of Silent Night. No one can do Christmas like PTX!! I have said it before....GO HAWKEYES!!! I habe a daughter heading to U of I in the fall. #big10
Thank you so much. Please do keep your expressions ! Magnificent ! No mics, a church hallway, each person, eyes closed, focused on their harmony and passion. :) Like your tree !
Christmas presents: If you are buying for any kids doing online school (or not, still useful for school age kids either way), I suggest Rocketbook (google it and check out the ad) it is under $30 SD cards for phones (especially for kids that need extra space cause they take lots of pictures or make videos all the time and have no space left on their phones) most are under $15 wireless speakers that light up. If you are shopping for girls (or boys) getting old enough to care about makeup; Ulta has a bunch of great stocking stuffer type things that are not too expensive art supplies such as paint, brushes, canvases...... gift cards are great especially since it is hard for people to go out right now, it is something they can use from home. Oh, love the reaction by the way, you always do a great job.
I listen to this and Light in the Hallway every night on my sleep Playlist too. PS just subbed. Love your reactions. I can watch a million PTX reactions. You should check out Superfruit with Scott and Mitch. They have some great music that is very different from PTX stuff.
This is by far my favorite Christmas song they do. The first time I heard it I probably had the same reaction as you, but I agree with everything you said about it.
Thanks so much for another great heartfelt reaction. I love this version of Silent Night. Just voices and acoustics and so much talent. Love your Christmas decorations! I just finished decorating here myself, finished Amazon and Lakeshore (6½ yo & 2½ yo granddaughters) shopping last night. Now waiting for the third arrivals of packages from there, and have to tackle the mailing of homemade afghans to the family in Alaska. Thanks again and hello to Cindy LouWho and family. Stay healthy and safe!
You just about made me cry thanking us Patrons! I love helping out people, because I've had so many people help me throughout my life. Don't forget my song request! 😉😁 Beautiful reaction, as usual. When I was on college choir tour around Georgia, there was an old wooden chapel near the church we were singing at. We went in and sang the Doxology, letting the echos carry our voices to heaven. It was one of the most spiritual experiences I have ever had!
I tried to find the credits for who arranged this version. A quick Google search popped up "Pentatonix". I believe Avi had the background to create the waterfall (fugue?) section. All of them are choir nerds. I felt that Kirstie was listening intently, not sleepy.
each is a talent in their own right. regarding your expressions, you're well suited for reaction videos rather than, say, poker. keep up the good work 👏
My husband doesn't care about what I put on the tree, I have a big collection of Disney character ornaments that i use every other Christmas. This year I have colored lights and different silver white and gold balls on the tree.
They probably were half asleep! They'd been touring and that's exhausting. And yet...they could probably sing circles around most people in their sleep! lol
My personal "favorite" Christmas song; I love the simplicity of both lyric and music. I've heard many versions of it, over my 60+ years, and this one is up near the top of the list...being a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas music, at the top of that list has to be this performance, in the original German, with just a guitar accompanying the singers, as written: ruclips.net/video/vKvKMgR8H7k/видео.html
I'm with you on "The Twelve Days of Christmas". However...do check out the link below. In 2008, way before being recruited into PTX, Avi was in college, and a member of the award-winning college choral group Fermata Nowhere (the first community college choral group to win the ICAA competition). Their schtick was mostly doing comedy bits, and that's what you'll see and hear in their "Twelve Days" parody. That'll be Avi standing just audience right of the guy speaking at the beginning. Watch for him "chloroforming" another singer about halfway through, and then getting knocked to the stagefloor by another. All in jest. It's a bit long, but well worth the time. ruclips.net/video/hPEUi8eXEEg/видео.html
I love your facial reactions. They’re refreshing as it’s genuine and a person can truly see your enjoyment and appreciation of the music and talent that is displayed.
Glad it comes through on the camera Kim, thanks for watching!
Avi's voice is so beautiful. God damn.
So beautiful 😭😍
When Avi and Mitch sing it's magical. Especially when they have a high-low voice off. 🤯
Nobody, but nobody does Christmas better than PTX! What they call it when Mitch and Avi sing is angelic.
I agree Matthew, I still love studio versions but it is so cool to listen to them without any effects, thanks for watching!
Yep, it's MAvi, it's a thing, and there's a video haha! omg your face, your eyes are rolling back in your head. it's a FANTASTIC reaction!
Haha, funny thing is Lisa, I don’t realize I am doing that until I am editing the videos. Thanks for your support and kind words as always!

I agree Anne-Marie, thanks for watching!
This is sung like a lullaby- at least that is how it sounds to me.
I agree Marie, I could definitely fall asleep to this, so soothing, thanks for watching!
I DO fall asleep to this every night LOL
I read in another comment that the church was in Germany and they recorded this while on tour.
actually, this is was recorded in the north aisle of First Congregational Church of Los Angeles
Kevin was the very high Ooooo sound in the background. Gorgeous.
I adore Avi's lullaby tone. He can be so powerful with his deep voice, and yet here he is absolutely gentle. Plus I love how reverent he looks singing this.

Just put this on repeat and close your eyes and enjoy
