In a game called football it only makes sense that you can’t use your foot to kick the ball.

What do you mean "punts it with his left foot"? Isn't he left-footed? Why else would he be lining up that way?

It's called a drop kick. It was once used regularly for FGs and extra points before 1941. Flutie was the last to drop kick a PAT. This guy should have dropped his shorts and mooned the Eagles.

Not the same thing. Flutie’s ball wasn’t on the ground for long, and it was a field goal attempt. This was very clearly a botched punt from Gillian

@@walteringle You are an ignoramus. Flutie dropped the ball. It hit the ground. When it bounced up he kicked it. Tell your wife to stop kicking you in the head - you sound just like Uncle Joe Biden.

@@drbonesshow1 Chill out, why so angry man? Just call me an idiot, you idiot. You’re not more special than me by pulling out Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary. Maybe you can look up “drop kick” too and find out that’s not what this is

That should probably be considered a missed field goal, not a penalty. Ugh, NFL needs to adopt CFL rules. Kicking makes no sense in NFL

They where in punt formation technically you have to be in “field goal formation” for it to count as a drop kick

@@Mr.MicroscopeYeah, probably. But the fact that could change what type of kicks are allowed is really annoying about the NFL. They really try hard to take the “foot” out of football. Cross reference with CFL where you can pretty much kick the ball whenever you want.
